Day 2:

Today morning also started with a lot of hustle and bustle since today, is the Sangeet.

We were all busy in rehearsals.
We all were going to showcase Mukti di and Abhi jiju's story through dancing.

And I got the part when they fall in love.
I couldn't do a romantic dance with my brothers because they were doing some other part so there was a dancer with whom I was dancing.

The day passed like that..I hadn't seen him all day because of the practice but family is also important, right?

The stage was all decked up and now I went to get ready.

I was wearing a beautiful traditional dress which was simple so that I could dance easily and elegant so there is no compromise in beauty.

I did my makeup and when I opened the drawer so I could take out some earrings I saw a gift wrapped box with a note on it.

Confused, I took it out and it read,

"Thank you for your help yesterday. And this is a token of thanks, I hope you accept it"

Manik? I was surprised. Never in my dreams I thought he would gift me something.
I opened the box to see,

The earrings which I loved yesterday!
Oh my god! How did he get to know this?

Of course Nandini, he will get to know. You were literally  gawking the earrings.

Oh, so he made an excuse of getting the change back!
A smile spread across my lips. I was so elated.

Bhagwan ji bhi na Hume sath dekhna chahte hai! Tabhi to mere dress ke saath matching hai ye earrings!
Hayee! Aj ka din to na..awesome-blossom hai!

I wore the beautiful earrings and went out. Mujhe kya pata tha, ye khushi bas do pal ki thi!

"Nandini, jaldi aa"

Ab kya hogaya!

I was searching for Nandini. I hope she got the gift. First time kisi ladki Ko gift Diya hai. I mean she is a friend...she helped me..to de diya.

There she is. Wearing a beautiful outfit with..those earrings! So she got them..and she is wearing them. I am so happy. But wait, she is not wearing a smile. And there are a lot of lines on her forehead..whyy?

Is she okay? Shall i go and ask her? Is she fine? Oh god! Kya Karun?!

MANIK! what is wrong with you? Tujhe hua kya hai?
She is just a classmate. No..friend!
Why are you so tensed. Shaadi ka ghar hai..problems Hoti Rehti hai.

Then I saw her, coming towards me. Trying to smile. I felt something weird. I wasn't able to see her in that state.

Is Dil me kuch kuch ho Raha hai.

"Hi! Manik!"

Her voice had sadness and her eyes too.

"Hi! Is everything okay?"

I ended up asking.

"Yeah. What will happen? Everything is fine. And yes, thank you so much for the earrings "

It was only the last sentence in which she was happy.

I smiled and she excused herself to attend a few guests.

When aunty, Nandini's Taiji came.

"Beta Manik, tu meri ek help karega?"

"Nandini ...teri turn hai dance ki. Jaa"

Taiji said. I fumbled as words didn't come out of my mouth.

"Kya Hua..?"

She said

"Vo..Taiji.."

Before I could complete, she said,

"Han..teri jo problem thi solve ho gayi hai. Fatafat stage par ja"

I was looking at her surprised and she asked me to hurry up because there were other performances which had to be completed by 10pm.

I went on the stage, still in confusion.

My partner had to enter after a minute or so.

The music played,

Ankhiyan de kol reh jaane de
Kehna hai jo keh jaane de…

I moved around the stage and did some slow steps.

Tere khayalon mein beete yeh raatein
Dil mera maange ek hi dua

I acted as if I was dreaming and then I folded my hands showing I was praying.

Tu saamne ho aur karun main baatein
Lamha rahe yoon thehra hua

My eyes were searching for Manik. I always wish he is in front of my eyes.

Pehle toh kabhi yun mujhko na aisa kuch hua
Deewani lehron ko jaise saahil mila…

Before Manik, I never felt this for anybody. I did a step showing I am crazy..and looked towards Mukti di.

O… Ek ladki ko dekha toh aisa laga
Ek ladki ko dekha toh aisa laga

In this step I took my dupatta and twirled around my partner, covering my face.
Then I removed the dupatta and it was MANIK. I was completely surprised. Manik? Dance? Mere saath? Main pakka TV serials ki tarah dream dekh Rahi Hun.

O mere sohneya ve
Chhad saari galiyan main
Naal tere tur chaleya main
Le chal mujhko duniya se tu door

Manik held me by my waist and pushed me backwards and kept coming closer to me. That's when I realised , it is real.

Chori chori jad tenu takkeya main
Khud ko sambhal na sakeya main
Chadh gaya sajna tera yeh fitoor…

He came closer and looked straight in my eyes. And then he did action of getting crazy in love

Langh jaani ve
Marjaani raat
Kehni jo thi
Keh de woh baat

He twirled me and then stood behind me and we did a step of moving our shoulders back and forth.

Ho… Ek ladki ko dekha toh aisa laga

e then again turned me towards him by my waist and we had an eye-lock.

Pehla pata hota Aisa hoga to khud hi us pagal dancer Ko bhaga deti!

Why do I feel, Its not crush anymore?
Its..its love.
But does he also have feelings for me?
