The Kitchen

Mia walked inside the kitchen only to see Manik sitting on the floor with tears flowing out if his eyes without an end. She got terrified with the scene and rushed to him and knelt down beside him and cupped his cheeks..

Mia: Dad..kya hua..why are you crying..??

Manik looked at her and hid her in his arms completely while she couldn't understand anything. He wept in her arms and she caressed his hairs with a confused face..

Manik ( sniffed ): She..she won't..forgive..me..right..

And now she knew whom was he talking about..She broke the hug and wiped her tears. She stretched his lips and tried to make him smile..

Mia: Dad, Mumma loves to see us smiling because she says that she loves us and can never see our tears. Nandini Malhotra can't withstand her loved ones' tears and so yours..

Manik ( chuckled sadly ): That's for her loved ones not me..

Mia ( sighed ): So, you are saying that she is hurt because of you but she doesn't love you..??

Manik looked at her with a frown on his forehead..

Mia ( smiled ): Hadn't she love you, she would have forgiven you long back and asked you to move on, but here she asked you to gain her trust, she believes trust is everything for a relationship. If she didn't want to get back with you, will she ever ask you to gain her trust..?

Manik thought for a moment and nodded in no making Mia smile..

Mia ( cupped her cheeks ): She loves you, Dad. Ithna ki, aap nahi jaan saktha wo aapse kithna pyar karthi hai but she's hurt, Dad. She's hurt because you didn't trust her, she's hurt because you left her alone when she was having a hard time in giving us a luxurious life. She had to bear taunts from the neighborhood just because she was a single mother, ye sab unkeliye ithni aasan nahi thi, Dad. It wasn't..

Manik looked more hurt and he pressed his lips together to control his sobs..Mia kissed his cheeks..

Mia: But, now you don't need to worry, she isn't going to have any such problems ahead. you know why..?

Manik ( softly ): Why..?

Mia ( smiled ): Because, she's looking forward to hold your hand and face the world with her ever confident smile..

And then, he smiled to his fullest amidst his tears which brought a wide grin on her face. He hugged her and kissed her head innumerable times..

Manik: I love you baby, Daddy loves you a lot..

Mia ( cutely ): And Mia loves you too..

" Uhu Uhu.." someone's cough brought them out of their trance..They broke the hug and looked in the right to see who it was..

Mia ( smiled ): Bhayyu...Bhai...

Manvik and Prathik entered the kitchen with attitude and stood in front of Manik. Mia and Manik stood up after rubbing his tears off and looked at them with confused faces..

Manvik ( looked behind ): Captain...

Rangeela entered inside with a huge box in his hand and stood beside Manvik and Prathik..

Prathik ( emotionless ): Give it to him, Captain..

Rangeela forwarded the box to Manik while he stood clueless..

Manik: What is it..?

Manvik ( looked here and there ): Someone has sent it to you..

Prathik ( continued ): We got it from the delivery guy, along with this letter..

Prathik passed the letter to Manik and he took it with a really confused face..Manik took the box too from Rangeela. He kept the box aside and opened the letter to read:

" A meeting, if possible..?? At Saffire Freycinet..Tonight 8 P.M..Dining Area 9..
Only if you want to get back with your wife.."

Well Wisher!!

Manik looked at the letter with a shocked face..Why would someone ask him to have a meeting at some random hotel and that too a well wisher who wants to see him together with Nandini..He thought of it as a prank and folded it making the two boys look at each other with " I so knew it " looks on their faces..

Manik: Captain, just give it back to the delivery guy if he's here or else call that delivery center.

Manvik ( immediately ): Why..?

Manik ( surprised ): What you mean by why..?

Prathik ( covered up ): Uh, it's the delivery box for you, will someone give their gifts back..? That's a bad manner..

Manik ( sighed ): It isn't any gift. I think, its some prank or else it isn't for me, maybe it's a mistake..

Prathik: Oh come on, the guy have asked us whether it's ManPrIa Mansion or not then who can it be other than you..?

Mia ( raised her eyebrow ): Why only Dad..? We've got many people at our place, now..

Manvik and Prathik glared at her mentally..

Manvik ( fake smiled ): Baby sahiba, apna dimaak zyada use math karna, it isn't useful aur Mr. Malhotra, I think you shouldn't neglect any such things which seems weird to you, it may be helpful too, what if you are doing a mistake by giving this gift back..

Prathik: Think about it..Captain, let's go..

The three left the duo alone. Mia was still rewinding the scene just happened. She could see something different in her brothers' eyes..While Manik was thinking who could it be and why would he do such a thing and moreover, his kids' behavior, that was also weird..

Mia: Dad..what's written in that letter..?

Manik gave the letter and to her and she read it on an on and smirked widely..

Mia ( thought ): Mathlab plan Mr. Manvik Malhotra aur Prathik Malhotra ke hai..par achanak aisa plan..hmm..kuch tho zaroor gadbad hai..

Mia ( grinned ): Dad, I think Bhayyu and Bhai are right. You shouldn't just ignore it. What if the person is genuine..?

Manik ( scratched his chin ): You think so..? I mean, who could it be to know about my personal matters..!! What if the person turns out to be some fraud..??

Mia ( held his hand ): Dad, just think about positivity. If he really becomes someone to get back with Mumma, then it's a gain for us, so go for it, Dad..Trust me,I will be with you, if something goes wrong..

Manik smiled and kissed her forehead..

Manik ( smiled ): Okay, as my princess wishes..

Mia smiled and thought about having a conversation with her brothers asap..

At 8 P.M.

In Saffire Freycinet

Manik walked inside the hotel, clad up in the suit and accessories which he got from the box that came us a DELIVERY gift..

He walked to the Dining Area and got inside the Private Dining 9 and smiled after seeing the view. He roamed his eyes around and saw a lady facing the view while tucking her hair strands. She was rubbing her arms due to the cold wind. He frowned seeing a lady..

Manik ( stiffened voice ): I expected a man as my well wisher,well whatever..May I know who are you, at least now..

As soon as she heard his voice, her body went stiff. He could feel her calming her breathes and slowly she turned to face him only to earn a gasp from Manik..

Manik ( stunned ): Nandini....

Nandini stood there with an awkward smile clad up in his favorite outfit who was actually trying to control her anxious breathes..

Manik stood still without reacting. He was shocked and couldn't understand whether he was watching a dream or not..

While for Nandini, it was so hard for her to gather the courage to stand in front of him with that smile on her face. She was always cold to him and now after realizing that he too deserves a second chance and she too was at fault, she didn't know how to speak to him..

Awkwardly, she took baby steps and stood in front of him, while he was standing wide opened mouth..

Nandini: Manik..

But, he didn't hear anything..he was looking at her in a daze. He rubbed his eyes but she was still standing in front of him..

Nandini: Manik..

Oh boy!! He was shocked like hell..

She frowned and shook his right shoulder and he looked at his shoulder after feeling her touch and then looked at her to see her frowning at him..

Manik: Mathlab..tum sach mein..mere samne khadi ho..?

She smiled a little and took her hand back from his shoulder and nodded in Yes..

Nandini ( softly ): Haa..I am for real..

And that was when he came out of the trance but still surprised with her visit..

Manik ( disbelievingly ): You..wrote that..letter..?

Nandini ( awkwardly ): Um..No..it..it wasn't me..

Manik ( frowned ): It wasn't..you..?

Nandini ( nodded in No ): No..It was..Manu..

Manik ( shocked ): Whattt....??

Nandini( bit her lips ): Yeah..

Manik ( shocked ): It was Manvik who wrote the letter..to me and bought this suit..for me..?

Nandini ( nodded in No again ): No, Manu wrote the letter and the suit was bought by Prati..

Manik simply smiled sarcastically..

Manik ( held his head ): Nandini..I don't wanna die out of shock..so, please stop messing with my brain. I mean, why would they do such a thing..?

Nandini ( stared at him ): So that, they could let us have some privacy..

Manik snapped his head at her to see her looking at him with full of pain in her eyes...and...apology..He looked shocked after seeing her apologetic face..

Manik ( softly ): What's wrong..?

She wanted to apologize but words didn't come out. She held her hands in a fist and tears formed in her eyes. She looked away to control those tears.

Manik ( softly ): Jaan...hua kya hai..

She snapped her head at him now and the tears came out making him scare. He immediately, cupped her cheeks in worry..

Manik ( wiped her tears ): Hey Jaan..shh..hua kya hai..bolo tho sahi..You're scaring me..

Nandini ( whispered ): I am sorry...

He halted in the middle and looked at her in surprise..

Manik: Sorry...? For what..??

Nandini ( teary-eyed ): For..for everything I did and I said. I was so cold to you. I..I never realized that even you had to bear a lot after I left. I never gave a chance to you for an explanation, instead I chose to leave you. And, when you came here too, i didn't give you a chance. I was just into my pain that I couldn't notice your sorrows. You..you had to stay away from our kids, just because of me. You had to shed tears just because of my cold attitude..I..I am sorry Manik...Please forgive me..

Manik was looking at her with a shocked face. Here, he was thinking what all should he do to gain her forgiveness and she has come to him with an apology and seeking for forgiveness from him..What's happening..!!

Manik ( still surprised ): Jaan, have you..have you any idea what you're talking about. I mean, I am the one who should be punished, i am the one who should seek forgiveness from you and you are apologizing to me..It was my mistake, no..it..it was a sin and you..Jaan..ye sab..

She smiled after hearing him. He still didn't think about his pain but just concerned for her..She held his hand in her's and stared at him making him shut his mouth..

Nandini ( softly ): If i were an impulsive soul, I would have done the same thing that you did..I just didn't realize it until our sons made me understand..

Manik ( shocked ): Sons..?

Nandini ( nodded with a smile ): Haan..I was still on denying you an apology mode but then they made me understand that your character forced you to do it. Your this impulsiveness made you believe in those photographs instead of me..And I knew, if I were you, if was an impulsive soul, i would have reacted the same like you did. They made me realize that you crave for me and will never leave my hand again..Will you..?

Manik's eyes have turned teary after hearing that his sons knew about his pain. His sons were the reaosn of Nandini's change of mind. He smiled and cupped her cheeks with his both hands..

Manik ( cried ): How will I leave this hand of yours when I wanted to entwine them until our last breathes..

That was it, she crashed in his arms and he hugged her like they were hugging for the first time and he wanted to absorb each and every inch of her body. He took her off the ground and twirled her in immense happiness..

She hid herself in the crook of his neck and shed tears. Her hold on him was so tight that she couldn't believe its happening. She couldn't believe that finally, she is here,in his arms, where she belongs..

They broke the hug but couldn't move away from each other..Nandini wiped his tears and nodded in No while he leaned to her and kissed her tears and she could only shed more tears feeling his touch on her body..

Nandini ( whispered ): I missed you..I missed this..US..

Manik ( smiled ): And I missed this..

He showed their entwined fingers and she looked at them with teary eyes and at him..He kissed her forehead making her sign in happiness..

Nandini ( in tears ): I love you, Mani...

He looked at her with more tears in his eyes..

Mnaik ( whispered ): Say it again..

Nandini ( innocently ): I love you, Mani..hamesha..

He gave a long kiss on her forehead and whispered on her face..

Manik: I love you so much, Jaan..I love you that I missed you in these 10 years to an extent none can think of..

Nandini ( in tears ): I am sorry for that..

Manik smiled and nodded in No..

Manik: I am sorry for whatever I did..I shouldn't have been impulsive..

SHe smiled in tears and nodded..

Nandini: Yeah, you should have a control on it..

He smiled and caressed her cheeks and leaned to her face and she closed her eyes because she knew what was coming and just like she predicted, it happened..

Their lips met after 10 long years, the couple who used to kiss whenever they meet even if its after a hour have spent 10 years without it but still, it was a slow kiss, because they wanted to believe that this isn't any dream..

He broke the kiss only to place them on her's again and this time, it was a long and passionate kiss before parting them back..

They rested their foreheads on each other and tears made it's way out..

MaNan: I missed it..

They opened their eyes and looked at each other with a wide grin on their faces..What they didn't notice was this scene was witnessed by someones..

Person 1: Mia..didn't I ask you to close your eyes..

Mia: oh come on Manvik Bhayyu, they are our parents..and it was just a renuinon of the lovers, ismein koi galathi hai kya Prathik Bhai..

Manvik: of course not, hai na buddy..

Prathik: yar sab mujhse kyu pooch rahe hai..ab chup raho..aur ispe concentrate karo..

Manvik: Shut up you both, don't watch it, it would be personal for them..

PrIa: Fine..

The kids looked at their parents to see them looking at the view in the front by being in each others' arms..

Prathik ( smiled ): They look so beautiful with each other..

Manvik ( smiled ): I agree..I just got to see the real meaning of Love..

Mia ( grinned ): We are gonna have a complete family, Bhai..Mom, Dad and we three..It will be beautiful..

The three hugged each other in happiness..

Mia: Let's intrude..I need a hug from them..

The boys shook their head in disbelief and before they could say something, Mia walked towards Manik and Nandini..

Prathik: Ye ladki bhi na..

Mia ( shouted ): Oh Love birds, time up..

Manik and Nandini turned back to see Mia looking at them with a grin and Manvik and Prathik marching towards her in a marathon speed..

Manvik: Mia ki bachi..chalo..

Manik ( smiled ): Manvik Malhotra and Prathik Malhotra..

Manvik and Prathik looked at Manik and saw him kneeling in front of them with his hands on his ears..They looked at him with all their love and tears have formed in their eyes..

Manik ( with tears ): I did hurt your Mom. I did hurt your Mom's Love. I did a sin by trusting some bloody photographs instead of her but I too missed something and that was family and your Mumma, she decided to forgive me and I have got everything now, except my sons..Can I get my sons too..I just wanna be a father, if not a superhero..Can I..?

Manvik and Prathik smiled amidst tears and hugged Manik tightly and Manik's heart couldn't stop himself from beating in joy..Mia and Nandini watched it with tears of happiness in their eyes..

Manvik: We missed you..

Prathik: We missed your warmth..

Manvik: We missed your scolds..

Prathik: We missed your pampering..

Manvik: We missed your glares for committing mistakes..

Prathik: We missed your Love..

Manik ( busted in tears ): And I missed my sons, all in all..

They broke the hug and Manik kissed their foreheads affectionately and they kissed his cheeks with tears in their eyes..

Manvik: promise us, that we will have a family form now on wards..

Prathik: Promise us that you will always chose your family and trust Mom..

Manik ( pinched his throat ): Nandini Promise..

And this sentence just made them grinned and they pounced on him in joy..

Mia ( pouted ): Hum kya karenge..Mumma..dekho na..

Nandini hugged Mia..

Nandini: Chalo baby sahiba..hume kisi aur ke zaroorath hi nahi..hum hai na ek doosre keliye..

Mia grinned and hugged her Mom and showed her tongue to her brothers and father..Manik shook his head with a smile and pulled them too and made it a perfect family hug..

Manik ( in tears ): We are family, hamesha..

They smiled at him in happiness and he kissed each of their head sand they kissed his cheeks in return..
