Nandini's bedroom

Nandini was sitting with her eyes closed lost in deep thoughts..

Nandini ( thought ): Mere alawa kisi ke bhi samne sar nahi chuka Manik par aaj mere Papa ke samne bhi usne apna sar chuka..Sometimes, I think I need to soothe his pain but whenever I think about the pain that I went through, I just drop that thought..Nobody could understand a girl's pain when she gets pregnant in her late teenage that too when her husband accused her of cheating on him. One should go through my life to know about my pain. My babies are the best kids one could wish for but taking care of 3 babies at a time isn't something easy. I had to keep them in Kapoor's Mansion whenever I was at work. Just think about my babies. how much they had to suffer. They needed my love, their father's pampering but they couldn't get it much in their childhood. As their mother was mostly at work and their father, he didn't even know he had children on his own..That is why Sid was like a fatherly figure for my kids because he always took care of them. I used to think that how can he love my babies when he has no relation with them..But they could never find their father in him, they knew their father was somewhere. Though Manu and Prati never showed, but they craved for Manik's love. they were angry at Manik but still, they are glad to see him. After all they are our blood, I can understand my kids..Mia, she is really happy..her smile is the precious gift of God and her smile has turned only huge since the moment she met him..Please let my kids happy..

I felt something on my lap and two hands on my cheeks..I opened my eyes to see Manu and Prati wiping something on my face..I didn't know I was shedding tears..I looked below to see Mia on my lap with tears flowing from her eyes..I straightened myself..

End of Nandini's POV

Nandini: Mia, kya hua..baby..why are you crying..? Manu, Prati..kya hua..

Mia sat straight and sat on her lap with legs on Nandini's either sides and kept her head on Nandini's chest..

Mia ( in tears ): Mom, did he..hurt you..?

Nandini ( frowned ): Who..?

Mia ( stammered ): Dad..

Nandini ( surprised ): What..?

Mia: Today, Dad was telling Nanu that he thought you were cheating on him and he said a lot of bad things to you..Is it true..? Were you hurt Mumma..? I thought you both were having some problems but I never knew he had hurt you Mom..I am sorry..

Nandini ( kissed her forehead ): Why are you apologizing, baby..

Mia ( cried ): Because, I wanted to see you both together and I didn't get angry at him, like Bhai did..

Nandini ( smiled ): You think I would like if my baby acts rough with anyone..

Mia nodded in No..

Nandini ( smiled ): He is your father, baby and you being an excited soul to meet your father will never act rude with him..I won't like it too..Because my baby shouldn't harm anyone's feelings. Yes, your father and I have problems with each other but it shouldn't come to you..He is your Dad and follow your heart's wish..If your heart wants to be with him, to love him then do listen to it or else one day you will hurt yourself for committing today's mistakes..Don't be rough on anyone..And your Dad holds a special place in your heart..So, never do it..Besides, he loves you a lot..Did you understand.?

Mia smiled at her..

Mia: Won't you feel bad..?

Nandini ( smiled ): Of course not..I love my babies and what matters to me is your happiness..

Mia kissed her cheeks and snuggled more to her..Soon, she has fallen in sleep and that was when she noticed the boys leaning onto her shoulders with closed eyes..

Nandini ( sighed ): Kuch nahi bolna hai..?

Manvik ( stared at his mom ): I want to know about him..

Nandini ( surprised ): Why..?

Manvik ( sighed ): Mom..please..

Nandini ( stared at the ceiling ): Sach kahoon tho..just look at yourself and your brother..

Prathik ( finally spoke something ): What does it mean..?

Nandini ( smiled ): You have always asked me right..? Why are you so different from me when it comes to anger..? ( they nodded ) Its because you are like your father. Manik is impulsive, very rough for the whole world. He even bullied me when I stepped in the college for the first time. Navya and I were Fab 5's favorite targets. I used to call him a monster but then gradually I understood he too had reasons to become a monster for the world. He showed his sweeter side to me..He never had a proper childhood. He was always caught between his mom and Dad since they were separated at that time which forced him to believe that there is no such thing called Love or mercy. He says, I changed him..I changed his life..Maybe, but I think it was a part of destiny..The destiny wanted his childhood to be broken and then the same destiny wanted him to change for good..

They were just staring at Nandini..She knew, they would be a bit surprised. They have always compared her character with theirs. Mia is kinda similar to her but then their anger was something always confused them because Nandini never had such a temper issue. She couldn't tell them it was because of Manik because they never liked to talk about him but today, they wanted to know about him and she really doesn't know what's cooking in their mind..

They took her arms and kept it around them and snuggled in her warmth..

ManPr: We love you, Mom..We really do..

They closed their eyes and slipped into a deep slumber. She sighed, she knew they won't share it with her until they find it easy. They shared each and everything with her but sometimes, there used to be some topics which they themselves find difficult to understand and they just drop it since they hate to think much or sometimes they hide it from her intentionally since they knew only they can protect their mother..

While, there was someone who was hearing all thse things with tears in eyes. It was Manik..he wanted to check on them since even Mia didn't go with him today. He decided to hear the mother-children talks. It pained him to hear what Mia told Nandini but he knew its because she loved her mother way too much but then the way Nandini made her understand just pushed him in more guilt. No matter whatever happened, she is ready to do anything for her children's happiness, even if its to see her daughter with such a person who had hurt her to such a tragic extent. And when his sons for the first time asked about him, he felt a tinge of happiness in him.

Manik ( whispered ): Maybe, your heart wanted to know about me but at the same time your heart couldn't neglect your mother's pain. But, I would get you 4 back..I swear to Nandini's Aiyappa..

Next Day

The previous night wasn't so eventful..Mia's heart wanted to be with her Dad and so she followed what her mother taught her. Listen to your heart, she didn't want to hurt her mother, neither her father. After all, we can't expect such a huge hatred for someone from a 9 year old kid, especially when you are a girl. Girls are much softer in physical appearance as well as by heart..

Mia was having a tour of Mansion with Fab 5 and Abhi..

Cabir ( frowned ): Hey, what's that Mia..?

Mia followed his gaze and smiled widely..

Mia: Our pet house..

Alya ( confused ): Pet house..?

Mia: We have a lot of pets..

Manik ( smiled ): Nandini loved pets, a lot..

Mia ( smiled ): Oh, she does..in fact..she takes care of them like how she takes care of a baby..

Dhruv ( smiled ): Well, you are her baby, after all..

Mia ( giggled ): I am..

Manik: Waise, what all pets you've got..?

Mia: All kind of pets..

Cabir: I hope, your taste isn't as dangerous as your dad's..

Manik glared at him..

Mia ( frowned ): Dangerous..What does it mean, Mamu..?

Dhruv ( chuckled ): Your Dad had an Ape as his pet..

Manik glared at him thinking it will scare his baby..

Mia ( shocked ): What..? Really Dad..?

Manik: Baby..its nothing serious..he was a small ape..Yeah, now he is all grown up but still, he isn't scary..

Mia ( excitedly ): Oh my God..an Ape..how cute it would be..Dad, I want to see him..you have his photo..?

Cabir and DhruLya just gaped at her while Mukti and Abhi were chuckling. they knew about her craziness for apes..

Manik ( shocked ): You aren't scared of them..?

Mia: Why would I..? They are the best..

Manik just chuckled thinking how can he forget that its his daughter and so could never get scared of any kind of dangerous stuffs..

Cabir ( huffed ): Jaisa Baap waisi beti..

Manik and Mia chuckled while others too nodded at him..

Voice: Nope Mia baby sahiba..We've got better..

They turned to find Manvik and Prathik with some baskets in their hands..

Mia ( bad face ): Nope, mine is better..

Prathik ( smirked ): Yeah right..Some gooses and birds, right..

Manvik: You are just like Mom..

Mia: Oh hello..I like apes too..And you know that..

Manvik: of course, we know that but you still didn't get it..We aren't getting it here..

Manik ( smirked ): Not to worry..I am going to get an ape for her..

Mia ( kissed his cheeks ): Yay..Love you Dad..But you know, I want to see your pet..

Manik: Sure, baby..

Manvik and Prathik just shook their heads and walked to the pet house..

Alya: Mia, I want to see your pet house..

Mia ( smiled ): Why not, Chachi..Dad..lets get inside..

Manik nodded with a smile and they walked to the pet house and entered inside..

Mia ( grinned ): These are my pets..

Alya: Aww..they are soo cute Mia..

Mia ( grinned ): I am in love with them..

DHruv: They are eating..is it their feeding time..

Mia: Yup..Mumma would be here..where is she..? Ah, there she is..

They followed her gaze and saw Nandini and Navya feeding some of the birds. they moved towards her..

Mia ( smiled ): these are Mom's favorites..

Manik: They are so beautiful..

Mia ( grinned ): Just like my mumma..

Manik smiled at her..She saw him checking her mumma out..

Mia: Mumma...

Nandini smiled at her..

Nandini: Your birds are already having their food..

Mia ( grinned ): I know..where is your pet..

Nandini ( pointed at a point ): Over there

They just got mesmerized with the bird..

Manik: Its seriously beautiful..

Nandini: Mia..where are your brothers..

Mia: Aur kaha..unke pets ke paas..

Before Mnaik could voice out he saw something and got shocked..

Manik: What the..Manvik and Prathik..

Seeing him freaking out, Nandini turned with a fearful face but then sighed in relief..

Nandini ( glared ): You scared me..

Mnaik ( shocked ): Scared you..its scaring me..Ask them to get out..They are dangerous..

Mia ( giggled ): Dad..they are their pets..

Fab 4 stood with wide opened mouths..

Manik: Pets..?

Cabir: Are you serious..?

Alya: That's Manvik's pet..?

Dhruv: And that's Prathik's pet..?

Mukti: Lions are their pets??
