Here is another chapter of this story.

At Nandini's home-

Swati was busy in preparing lunch for Nandini and her friends.

Swati self thought- I hope meri Nandini ko ye pasand aajaye. Pata nahi waha sasural me kuch khaati bhi hogi ya nahi.
Bahut hi Sabr Kia hai usne apni life me aur Ab jab finally use khushiya milrahi hai to Bhagwaan please uska sath dena uski khushiya yunhi barkarar rakhna. I just hope ke Manik aur Nandini hamesha Khush rahe aur ek sath rahein....

As she was lost in her thoughts, the doorbell rang.

Swati - Lagta hai Nandu aagayi. Aur abhi Maine Kuch banaya hi nahi Uske liye...

Saying this she rushed to open the door.

As soon as she opened the door, Swati was shocked to see Manik standing at the door.

Swati - Manik Beta tum???

Manik - Namaste Maa... Kaisi ho aap.

Manik bent down and touched Swati's feet to take her blessings.

Swati - Jeete raho Beta. Mai bilkul theek hoon. Tum yahan????
I mean aise achanak se...

Manik - Haan... Mai yahan... But achanak se nahi aaya hoon. I have got some work here.

Swati - Oh. Acha... Andar aao na Beta. Bahar kyu khade ho????

Saying this she made way for Manik to get in.

Manik looked around the house and said- Maa .. Apko Kuch jalne ki smell aarahi hai???

Swati with a confused face- Jalne ki smell?

Then she realised that she forgot to off the stove.

Swati - Hey Bhagwaan mai to bhool hi gayi thi. Maine stove pe sabzi rakhi thi. Lagta hai jal gayi.

Saying this she rushed to the kitchen.

Manik kept his bag aside and followed Swati to the kitchen.

Manik looked at Swati who was checking the food.

Swati - Ye to saara hi jal gaya??? Ab kya karoon mai??? Nandini aati hi hogi....

Manik - Maa... Don't worry. Sabzi jal gayi to kya hua??? Dobara banjayeji.

Swati - Kaise Beta??? Itne kam time me kaise hoga sab.

Manik - Maa don't worry. Mai apki help kardunga...

Swati - Par Beta tum kaise???? I mean tumhe aata hai Khana banana?

Manik - Yes. Bahut hi achchi tareeke se aata hai mujhe.

Swati looked at Manik .

Manik - Arey mai sach keh raha hoon. Agar yakin nahi aata to Nandini se pooch lijiye.

Manik recollected the time when he had made Aloo ke Parathe with the help of Nandini and a smile appeared on his face.

Swati - But phir bhi Beta mai tumse kaise kaam karwasakti hoon? Tum to is ghar ke Damad ho.

Manik - Kardi na aapne parayo wali baat. Apne mujhe Beta maana hai. Us baare to mai help kar hi sakta hoon na aapki.

Swati - But Beta...

Manik - Chaliye bataiye kya karna hoga mujhe???

Saying this Manik pulled up his sleeves (literally).

Swati initially was hesitant But later agreed on Manik's insistence.

She was directing and Manik was following the instructions.

Manik made a lot of goofups intentionally while preparing the food which made Swati laugh.

After half an hour, the food was ready.

Again the door bell rang.

Swati - Lagta hai Nandini aagayi...

Manik - Aap jaiye door kholiye mai isey serve karta hoon...

Swati nodded and left. She opened the door to see Nandini and her friends Varsha and Deepali.

Nandini's face was red with anger.

Nandini came inside and sat down on the couch.

Swati - Kya hua Beta? Itne gusse me kyu lagrahi ho?

But Nandini didn't reply.

Swati then looked at Varsha and Deepali who were silent as well.

Swati - Koi mujhe batayega ki kya hua hai?

Nandini - Maa... Apko pata hai hum log jab wapas aarahe the to  hamare auto ka ek car se accident hogaya.

On hearing this Swati went to Nandini and said- Kya ? Accident??? Tujhe koi chot to nahi lagi na. Tu theek hai na???

Saying this Swati checked Nandini's hands and face to see if there are any bruises.

Nandini- Maa mujhe Kuch nahi hua. Mai bilkul theek hoon. Mujhe to gussa us car driver pe aaraha hai. Ek to galti uski thi aur jab Maine usse kaha ki auto driver se maafi mange to Tevar dikha raha tha. Keh raha tha ki paise le lo aur baat ko yahin khatm karo. Can you believe it???

Deepali- Aur Aunty baat yahi khatm nahi Hui ... Nandini ne usko jor se chaata maardiya.

Nandini looked at Deepali with anger filled eyes.

Seeing her anger Deepali said - Sorry...

Swati- Hey Bhagwaan Nandini tu bhi na. Kya zarurat thi usey maarne ki.

Nandini - He deserved it. Ye shahar wale hote hi aise hai. Kabhi apna promise fulfill nahi karte... I just hate them.

Varsha came forward and checked Nandini's temperature by touching her forehead.

Nandini jerked her hand and said- Kya kar rahi ho Varsha???

Varsha - Dekh rahi hoon ki teri tabiyat theek hai ya nahi.

Nandini - Mai bilkul theek hoon... Mujhe kya hoga?

Varsha - Aisi behki behki baatein kyu kar rahi ho?

Manik was listening to all this from the kitchen and understood that Nandini was talking about him.

He smiled and said - So my beautiful wife is angry on me coz I didn't reply to any of her calls. Don't worry Nandini. I am here just for you.

Saying this he took a glass and poured cold water in it.

Manik - I think this will cool down your anger.

Manik took the water to Nandini.

Nandini's back was facing Manik so she couldn't see him.

Swati - Nandu calm down Beta have some water.

Manik forwarded the glass infront of Nandini.
He gestured Varsha and Deepali to keep quiet.

Nandini without looking back took the glass from Manik and kept it on the table in front of her.

Nandini - Nahi peena mujhe pani.

Manik - Mai doonga tab bhi nahi...

Nandini - Nahi...

Then Nandini realised that it was Manik's voice and turned back.

Manik was standing right infront of her with his hands folded across his chest.

Nandini - Manik aap???

Manik - Haan... Mai...

Nandini - Aap kab aaye???

Manik - Bas abhi abhi....

Nandini's happiness knew no bounds. She was about to cling onto Manik but composed herself as everyone else was present there.

Varsha and Deepali greeted Manik and Manik did likewise.

Varsha - To aap hai wo jisse hamari friend ka byah hua hai...

Manik - Ji mai hi hoon wo .

Deepali - Bahut hi Khushi Hui aapse milke.

Manik - Mujhe bhi bahut Khushi Hui aap dono se milke.

Swati - Nandu Beta tum log thak gaye honge na. Jaake haath Muh dholo aur khana khalo.

Nandini was all the while looking at Manik who was intentionally ignoring her and was busy in talking with her friends.

Nandini - Mujhe bhook nahi hai Maa.

Deepali - Arey aise kaise bhook nahi hai. Abhi thodi der Pehle to bolrahi thi ki bahut zoro ki bhook lagi hai. Ab achanak se kya hogaya?

Swati - Nandu ... Kya hua Beta??? Abhi bhi usi baat ko lekar baithi hai tu? Ab janede na Beta.
(Swati was referring to the accident)

Nandini - Maa but???

Swati - Bas Kuch nahi Sunna mujhe.

Saying this Swati took Nandini to the kitchen along with her.

Swati - Nandu kya kar rahi hai tu? Manik ke saamne aise behave karegi. Kya soch raha hoga wo ?

Nandini - But Maa.... Maine kya Kia?

Swati- Beta Manik itni door se aaya hai... Aur mai Janti hoon Manik sirf Aur sirf tujhse milne aaya tha. Aur tu hai ki Muh phula ke baithi hai. Apna haal theek kar aur jaldi se bahar aaja.

Swati went away leaving Nandini behind.

Nandini went to her room and looked at herself in the mirror.

Nandini - Omg. Mai itni buri lagrahi thi ? Manik isiliye meri ore nahi dekh rahe the.

Saying this she went to the washroom and splashed water on her face.

Nandini then went down after doing some light makeup.

Manik observed this and smirked but still he pretended to ignore her .

Swati - Chalo bachcho aake lunch karlo.

Manik along with Nandini,Deepali and Varsha came and sat on the dining table.

Swati served all of them and when they were done, Varsha and Deepali praised Swati for making such delicious food.

Varsha - Aunty aapne khana Bahut hi tasty banaya hai.

Deepali - Haan Aunty ... Sach me Bahut hi tasty hai Khana.

Swati - Khana Maine nahi banaya hai.

Nandini - To kisne banaya hai Maa?

Swati - Manik ne....

Deepali and Varsha were surprised on hearing this.

Varsha - Jiju sa aap khana bhi bana lete ho....

Nandini to bahut hi lucky hai....

Deepali - Aap to multi talented ho. Photography bhi kamal ki karte ho aur Ab khana bhi itna Acha banaya hai.

Manik - Thank you... Waise aur bahut talents Hai mujhme....

Nandini - Ek minute... Tum dono ko kaise pata Chala ki Manik ko photography ka shauk hai???
Maine to nahi bataya...

Deepali - Tumne nahi bataya to kya hua. Hume sab pata hai. Ye Dekho...

Saying this Deepali showed Nandini the pictures which Manik clicked in the market.

Nandini was shocked to see her pictures.

Nandini - Ye... Ye pics to mere hai. Ye kisne liye. Aur kab...

Manik - Maine liye ... Jab tum apne friends ke sath enjoy kar rahi thi.

Nandini - To wo aap the???

Deepali - Aur humne khamakha us bechare ko kitna Kuch suna dia.

Varsha - Waise Jiju sa.... aap ne Nandini ke itne saare pics liye.... Ek pic hamare paas bhi hai... Dekhna chahenge?

Manik - Haan.. Why not?

Varsha - Deepu wo photo dena...

Nandini - Kaunsi photo ki baat kar rahe ho tum log?

Deepali - Batati hoon... Batati hoon.

Saying this Deepali took out a photo from Nandini's photo album which she had brought with her to relive their childhood memories.

Nandini - Deepu Agar tumne aisi waisi pic dikhayi na to mai chodungi nahi tumhe...

Deepali handed the pic of Nandini's First Birthday to Manik.

Before Manik could look at the pic, Nandini tried to snatch it from his hand but Manik raised his hand so that Nandini won't be able to reach the height.

Nandini - Manik wapas dijiye...

Manik - Nahi let me see it first.

Saying this Manik began to run away from Nandini and Nandini chased him.

Deepali and Varsha laughed at their cute fight.
Swati - Ye ladki bhi na... Kabhi nahi sudhregi.

Saying this she went to the kitchen to clean it and both Deepali and Varsha followed her to help.

Nandini - Manik... Please wapas dijiye na...

Manik - No...

While running, both of them reached Nandini's bedroom.

Nandini tried to reach Manik but everytime she went close to him, he raised his hand.

As Nandini was not able to reach for Manik's hand, she tried to jump to reach Manik's height and in that process lost balance and both of them fell on the bed with Nandini above Manik.

Nandini and Manik had an eyelock.

Nandini - Manik please wapas dedijiye na photo.

Manik - No. I won't... Agar tumhe ye pic chahiye to you have to do something for me.

Nandini - Kya karna hoga?

Manik came above Nandini and said- Why do you always hide your true self from me. Agar mai yahan nahi aata to mujhe pata hi nahi chalta ki tum actually itni cute ho.

Manik blew air over Nandini's face and Nandini closed her eyes and clutched Manik's shirt.

Manik - Nandini i just want you to be yourself. Don't hide yourself behind that calm and silent Nandini.

Nandini- Manik hum...

Manik - Shhh.... Let me complete. Nandini I know you didn't deserve whatever happened with you in the past. But trust me I want you to be happy from now on. And I am willing to do anything for you. And for that I need your support. I want you to live your life to the fullest. Mera itna to haq banta hai tumpar just like you have all the rights on me.
So tell me are you willing to shed your inhibitions infront of me and show me the real you.

Nandini nodded in a yes.

Manik - Aise nahi... I want to hear this from your mouth.

Nandini - Yes. I will....

Manik - I will be waiting to see your true self.

Saying this he got up from Nandini and handed her the pic to Nandini and left the room.

Nandini sat on the bed and said to herself - I promise you Manik that I am willing to do anything to make you happy.

With this she too came out of the room and joined the rest.

Deepali - Nandini tumhe pata hai aaj Gehna ki shaadi hai. Tum Chal rahi ho na? Jiju ne to Haan kehdi hai.

Nandini looked at Manik who was waiting to hear Nandini's answer.

Nandini - Haan mai bhi chalungi. After all Gehna bhi to meri friend hai.

Varsha - Great. Phir to bahut hi maza aane wala hai.

Everyone got ready in the evening and went to attend the marriage ceremony.

On seeing her friends,Gehna got very excited and happy.

Nandini introduced Manik to Gehna's family and they thanked Manik for attending the ceremony.

Gehna along with Nandini, Deepali and Varsha went to her room and chatted for sometime.

Gehna - Nandini tu to bilkul hi gayab hogayi thi.... Kaha thi itne saal?

Nandini - Wo mai...

Gehna - Khair wo sab jaane de. Tujhe to chodne wali nahi hoon mai. Itne saalo me ek baar bhi yaad nahi aayi tumhe hamari.

Nandini - Sorry Gehna. Tu jo saza degi mujhe manzoor hai.

Gehna - To fir theek hai tujhe mere shadi me dance karna hoga.

Nandini - Kya??? Dance??? But mai kaise?

Gehna - Oh hello... Tu to aise bolrahi hai jaise tune zindagi me kabhi dance hi nahi Kia. Tu hamare school ki dancing champion thi. Bhoolgayi kya???

Nandini - Haan wo sab to theek hai but Manik ke saamne kaise?

Varsha - Kyu nahi??? Wo hair thode hi na hai. Pati hai tera. Aur tera dance dekhkar wo to flat hi hojayenge.

Nandini thought for a while and said- Ok. Fine . Mai karungi dance.

Deepali - Ye Hui na baat....

Nandini - But tum dono bhi mujhe join karoge.

Varsha - Haan Haan. Kyu nahi...Hum to hamesha hi ready hote hai dance ke liye.

Gehna was called for the ceremony.

Nandini with her true friends took Gehna to the Mandap.

The marriage ceremony was done and it was time for the dance performance.

Everyone including Manik gathered around the stage.

The music began and Nandini took her position.

Her back was facing Manik so he couldn't figure out that it was Nandini.

After the performance, It was time for Gehna's Bidai after which Swati, Manik,Nandini and her two friends went back to Nandini's home.
(Varsha and Deepali stayed at Nandini's place)
