Nandini went in the bathtub and felt someone inside. Her eyes widen in horror. She was about to shout when someone covers her mouth. That someone is none other than Manik. He was inside the bathroom and when he heard them coming inside he took a deep breath and hides himself in the tub.

“Ssh.! Ni Shona.! Main hu.! Ssh.!” She was breathing fastly, “Ab main apna haath hata rha hu.! Aap ni chikhoge.! Hai na.?”, She nodded with teary eyes.

He removes his hands. Slowly he takes her in his arms.

She hides herself in his arms. He pats her head, “Baby dar gaya? I'm sorry! Monstu se galati ho gyi.!”

She calms down and looked him.

He kissed her forehead.

“Tum yaha kya kar rhe the?”

“Main? Main apni Nanhi ka wait kar rha tha.!”

She smiled and snuggles to him.

“Vaise main yaha ek aur reason se aaya tha.! You know sabne tumhy haldi laga. Mujhy haldi lagaya but humny toh ek dusre ko lagya hi ni! Haww!”, He said dramatically.

“But mere pass haldi ni Hai.”,she said shaking her head.

He takes out a bowl of haldi, “Ta da!! I'm always prepared.!”

She smiled and remembered about what girls taught her so sat in his lap. Manik looked her confusingly.

She slips her saree from her shoulder and opens the string of her blouse. She was about to open her hook when Manik stops her, “Yeh Kya kar rhi ho tum?”

“Why? Are you scared?”, She said tracing his cheeks seductively with her tongue and opens her blouse.

Manik smirked, “Playing naughty with me?”

She looked as he stops her. She thinks something else and tried to do it.

She slides her hands inside his kurta and tracing his abs opened it.

Manik was shocked with this new Nandini. She takes the haldi and applied it on her neck and cleavage.

“Yeh tum..”,she cut him off.

“Ssh..! No more talk.!”, She leans to him and rubs her naked chest to his chest.

Manik closed his eyes while his hands digs on her waist.

She was sitting in his lap and rubbing her whole body to his turning him on.

Not able to take it more he grabs her hairs in his fistt lightly and separates her. He takes her lower lip between his teeth and muttered huskily, “You’re playing with fire! I'm warning you kitten.!”

She hissed as he bites her lips and takes her in a soulful kiss.

In between the kiss he dips his hand in haldi rubs it on her whole body pulling her closer.

He broke the kiss but she kissed him back. She was not ready to break the kiss but he forcefully broke it.

She started licking his face and neck as he broke kiss.

Manik found her behavior different. He forcefully separates her.

“Baby.! Nanhi.! Stop.! Kya kar rhi ho.? It's not you.!”

She looked him and thought, “kahi sab ne jo kaha wo sach to ni. Because we're meeting after haldi isliye humary rishte me nazar to ni lag rhi.! Isliye Monstu is pushing me.!”

“Baby Kya baat Hai.? I'm noticing tum chup chup rah rhi ho.!”

“Monstu. You shouldn't have came here.! I think everyone is right.! Humy ni milna chiye.!”

“What.!? Are you crazy? Kya bol rhi ho? We shouldn't meet.!”

“Yes. If we'll meet toh humara rishta karab ho jayega. I've got you after ages. I don't wanna lose you.!”

“Nandini. Kya bol rhi ho.? I'm not gonna leave you ever again.! Kabi ni. Even if I've to die.! Don't you trust me!”

“I trust you! But sab ne bola hai that if after haldi couple meet toh acha ni hota hai.! Couples k bich problems aati hai!”

“What? You think humare bich problems hogi just because humne rituals ni follow kiya! Bullshit!”

“But I want you to follow it!”

“But why?”

She gets annoyed and shouted, “Tum har waqt aisa hi krte ho! Har waqt order krte ho! Meri ek baat mano! Main kuch ni janti! You have to follow it!”

“Fine! Let's do this! You want us to stay away, right? Then as you wish! I won't come in front of you!! But I’m warning you agar Meri Nanhi ko kuch hua toh mujse bura koi ni hoga!”

He came out of tub and gets out of washroom slamming the door but comes back and shouted on her, “Aur dare you play in water!”

He marched out.

Outside Navya and Nia was shocked to found him coming out.

But looking him angry they didn't bug him.

They went inside and found an upset Nandini.

She told them everything.

“Don't worry Nandini! It's good that he's upset! He'll get surprise on wedding night! With your new avatar!”

“He'll be happy?”, She asked pouting sadly.

“Of course!”

“Now take a bath and come out warna tumhe thand lagi to your monster will kill us!”

She wants to stay away!

I left washroom and changed in guest room.

Fine if she wants to stay away! I won't come in front of her.

I was aimlessly scrolling through my mobile when Cabir gets in.

Now what does he want? I'm already pissed!

“Suna tu angry young man ban kar ghum rha Hai!”

“Tu dimag na kha mera Cabir! Bol rha hu main!”

“But wo tere pass hoga to na?”

Seriously!

“Kya hua? Nandini se gussa Hai?”

“Gussa na ho to Kya Karu? Matlb uski aisi demands rhti that I feel lyk Kya karu main iska?”

“Tu gussa kyu Hai? Isliye because usne demand kiya?”

“What!!? No!! Never!! Why will I be mad at her for that? She has the right!”

“Exactly my point! You should be happy that she demanded! Manik wo pehle wali Nandini ban rhi Hai! Haq jatana! Jo uske mann me hai usse she's expressing and now if you won't support her to wo chup ho jayegi. She'll not take stand or express her feelings truly.”

He is right. I should not behave like this. She shouldn't think that she has no right to think about anything.

“You're right!”, I said nodding

“I'm always right!”, Cabir said lifting his imaginary collar.

“Haan. Kavi kavi kar leta Hai dimaag wali batein! You know company effects! Mere saath rhte rhte sikh gaya hai.!”

“Sale kamine!!”

We both laughed.

It's time to sleep and I haven't hugged my baby from more than 12 hours. I just kept an eye on her from distance. I've noticed that she's also upset because of her own demand. She haven't taken a single morsel as I was not with her. I knew it. Isliye usse ni akele rehne de sakta main even if for a minute!

But ye samjhaye kon meri nanhi si jaan ko!

Ufff!!

Now all I can do is wait!

But bina khaye soyegi kaise?

But wait wo mery bina ni so skti to aayegi tab khila dunga!

I was in my thoughts when I heard mom scolding my baby.

She came from kitchen with four roti and some curry and sat beside Nandini.

“Chalo. Open your mouth. Ek v nakra ni. Dekha Hai kya haal bana rakha Hai apna. Look at your hand. So skinny. Dekhti hu mere rhte kaise skinny rhti ho. Chalo aaaa karo. Open.”

Nandini nodded in no and looked other side.

Dad came and sat on the other, now my baby was sitting between them.

He turned Nandu face towards mom and said, “Chalo niyo feed her sab complete karegi meri beti.”

“Nooo!!”, Nandu nodded in no.

“Are aise kaisy no. Acha open it for me!! Yeh niwala mere liye.”

Like this they fed her all four roti taking everyone's name.

Woah!! Sare nakre mere saath hi.! Mere saath to madam 2 rorti v nakhre k saath khati hai.! Aur mom dad se dekho kaisy kahey jaa rhi h!!

Toh mujhy hi sare nakre dikhati Hai.! Mile toh main v badla lunga!! But I'm happy that she's getting parents love n attention which she needs.

I went in my rum and did some office work to pass my time as Nandini won't be here soon.

Nia is sleeping with her so I know that 'mere pyar ki dushman’ will not let her come so I've to wait till she sleeps and Nandini sneaks out of room.

I went to check whether Nia and Nandini slept and as expected Nandini was waiting for Nia to sleep.

I ran back to room and laid down when I saw her getting down to bed.

I heard my room’s door click and she entered. I acted to sleep. Nandini came inside and hugged me keeping my hands around her stomach. I so wish hide her in my arms but I did against it. I pushed her lightly and turned my back to her.

I know baby you'll be sad but thoda toh I need to tease you.

She stood and again came to my side and hugged. I again left her n turned. She turned me slowly and laid on me hugging me tightly but I pushed her and turned my back to her.

She wants me to cuddle her. My pumpkin I will cuddle but after teasing you a little.

I waited for her next way to make me cuddle her but to my surprise she didn't do anything. I frowned when I didn't felt her.

She's is in room but what must be she doing. I waited and waited but she didn't took any step so chucking all my plans to tease her I turned towards only to widen my eyes in horror.

My small baby is doing sit-up and she was breathing heavily but she was not ready to stop.

“Nanhi.! Baby.! Kya kar rhe ho aap?”, I asked and stood to stop her.

Her chin wobbled and she cried doing her sit-up, “I'm sorry Monstu. I'm bad. I'll not do anything.. I'll not shout at you.. please.. don't hate me.. please.”

I stopped her and carried her in my arms, “Ssh.! Ssh..! jaan. I don't hate you. I can never. I was teasing you baby. Ssh..!”

I rubbed her chest to stop her for breathing heavily. Slowly she stopped and mumbled, “Mera Monstu"

I cuddled her close to me taking her in my lap and kissed her face numerous times.

I looked at her feet which has swollen. Her feet is very delicate. Though the fracture which she got at our marriage is healed but because of it her feet has become delicate.

“Kya kar liya apne feet k saath.! Oh! Jaan!! You love to make me worry. Isn't it?”, I looked at her who has slept in my embrace.

Kya karu main iss ladki ka? The minute she comes in my embrace she sleeps. This is her habit. She can't sleep without my warmth and smell. If I'm cuddling her ,then, only a second is enough for her to go in deep sleep. I wonder how she slept all these years without me! Did she even sleep? It only gives me shivers remembering the past.

I pecked her open mouth to which she snuggles more into me.

Kya kru? She's sleeping so peacefully and I can't separate her with me because the minute I'll separate she'll woke up. But balm is also important for her feet.

“Main kuch help karu?”, It was Harshad. I frowned finding him here. What the hell is he doing here at this time!!

“Wo I was passing by when I heard baby girl cries. I stopped and peeped so thought you might need help.”

I nodded, “yaa. Wo actually there's a balm in that drawer can you please pass?”

“Why?”

I pointed towards her feet and he shouted running towards us, “What the hell!! Kya kiya tumne meri baby girl k saath!!! How bloody dare you!”

I looked him angrily because his shout disturbed my baby.

She opened her sleepy eyes and looked us.

He sat beside us and said cupping MY baby cheeks, “Baby girl. Kya hua? Bhai ko bolo betu. Isne kuch kiya? Dard ho rha hai.? Bhai sab thik kar dege betu.!”

Nandini looked down playing with my thread because she knows I'm mad at her because of her stunt and now her brother is also worried.

I took his hand and jerked it away from her, “Mainy kuch ni kiya.! You really think I can do anything to MY small baby?”, I stressed ‘my’ to let him know that she's mine!

Call me jealous I'm ok! But when it comes to my love I can't share her.

“Bhai. Maine sit-up kiya.”, She mummers only to get glares from both of us.

“Wait. You sit with her I'll bring hot water and salt.”, Harshad said and went to washroom. He brought salt from kitchen and hot water from washroom and said taking her feet in his hand, “Slowly put your feet baby girl.”

She nodded and sat on my lap properly. Harshad held her feet softly and put it in the bucket. I would have took care of her but looking the care, love and worries on Harshad's face for his little sister stopped me.

I smiled and just caressed her fist which she had as for the first time her BHAI is caring for her.

He slowly massaged her feet keeping it inside the water.

“Betu! Aap aise karoge to kaise chalega! You know you're so precious! Bhai ki gudiya ab se aisa ni karegi! Hai na?”, massaging he continued to talk.

Nandini looked at me with her wobbly chin and teary eyes.

Aww! My princess can't contain her happiness.

I squeezed her into me and kissed her hairs but didn't interrupted the bhai-behan moment.

“Bhai.”, Nandini said smiling as if trying to know how this word comes out of her mouth. How beautiful this relation is.

“Ji betu! Kaha dard ho rha hai? Bhai se bolo gudiya.”, Harshad said cupping her face

“Thik hu main.”

“No way.! Avi itni swelling this. Chalo you sleep tab tak I'll put this balm. Itni swelling hai. Main to bolta hu painkiller le lo! Wait main lata hun!”, He kept ranting and stood to bring pain killer.

“Manik! Where is pain killer?”

“She can't take that her doctor has forbid her to take any medicine if it's not prescribed.”, I told him. He looked at me as if asking what's the matter. I avoided his eyes but I know he'll surely ask about it later. I cupped Nanhi’s cheeks, “Maza aata Hai na tumhy? Mujhy tang karne me? Lagau tumhy ek tapad? Thik ho jaogi!”

“Sochna v mat!! Jis din tuny Meri BEHAN par haath utaya tu jinda ni rhega!”

Not again! Here comes my so called SAALA!

“Bhai!! Mujhy hug chiye!”, Nanhi said as we both were busy in glaring each other.

“Ji betu!”

He hugged her while Nanhi hugged me also turning it into a group hug.

We broke the hug.

“Chalo you sleep till then I'll massage your feet.”, Harshad said and sat on bed to massage her feet.

“Kya Hai na Harshad mere v feet bht dard hai.! You know I works a lot.! So please mere v pair daba de!”, I gave him 'fuck- yourself’ look to him looking his 'fuck-off’ face.

“Monstu!! Bhai ko tease mat karo! Bhai! Mujhy dard ni ho rha hai! I'm ok now. You go and sleep!”

“No! You sleep.! Bhai hai na!”

“Okay! Stop you both! Nanhi! Dawa li tumny? Ni na? Harshad hold her tightly main iski dawa lata hu!”, I said glaring Nandini who just made a pout.

I brought her medicine but stopped at door as I heard both siblings.

“Bhai. Aap nee kosis ni ki dundny ki mujhy? Ek baar v ni! Apny mujhy dekha tha na bachpan me? Then Monstu k pass jab main thi tab apny kyu ni apny pass rakha mujhy? Aap v mujhy pyar ni krty the? Bolo na Bhai! Monstu apke best friend the na! Then why?”

“Ssh! Chanda suno! I tried but things didn't worked out. But what matters is we're together now! You know Manik and I used to be best friends but after you born my priorities changed. Manik who was my priority was no more important to me. I lost him. He always blamed me for this but I didn't care. He never met you as I didn't allowed anyone near you! But things changed. I lost you. In my lose I blamed Manik. Then Manik had mukti, alya, Navya who were his little sister. I was jealous, frustrated. It worsen as tym changed! Our friendship turned into enmity! That douchebag hid you when you were child if even for once I saw you then I would have taken you with me! Wo jo tujh par haq jamata hai na agar tu mery pass rhti na toh ussy tumhy dekhne v ni deta! I went to London for studies because tere alag hona mujhse ni ho paa rha tha! I returned few days before your marriage! I'm sorry that you have to suffer so much! Agar mujhe pata hota toh I would have let anyone harm my small child.”

She sniffed and whispered, “Aur humare parents?”

Harshad sighed sadly but before he could talk about I went inside and interrupted them.

“Chalo Baby ab medicine time!”

Slowly she hid behind Harshad and said peeking from his back, “Aaj ni Monstu. Please! Mujhe mann ni hai.”

Here comes her daily ka bahana.

“Baby medicine mann par ni hota. Chalo. Have it!”, I said and pulled her in my lap.

She finally have it and I laid down taking her in my arms.

Silently she was playing with my bands as these few days are like a roller coaster ride of emotions. Kissing her forehead I pulled her on me and patted her head, “Sleep baby bear. I'm here to protect you.”

She hugged me tightly and sighed in my arms hiding her face in the crook of my neck.

“Kya hua? Wanna share something?”, I asked softly kneading her hairs.

“Dar lag rha hai.”, She whispered so softly that if her face was not near my ear then I wouldn't have heard it.

I hugged her more tightly and said, “Kuch ni hoga. Monstu h na. You'll be with me like this every night. I promise you mera jaan har khushi tumhare pass hogi and you'll be in my arms always.”

“Nandu promise?”

“Nandu promise bacha. Now sleep.”

What seems like hours I felt her breath even and I slept hugging her securely.

Next day.

Nia woke up and panicked not finding Nandini beside her.

She came out and asked other who were equally worried except Cabir who was continuously laughing looking them worried.

“Cabir for heaven sake stop laughing. Manik will kill us.”, Nia shouted annoyingly and worriedly.

“You guys really think Manik ab tak shant rhta agar uski baby gayab rhti? Come on guys chill maro.! Nandu is with Manik. So rhe h dono.!”

“Manikkk!”, Nia shouted furiously, “I'm not gonna leave him! Man’na kiya tha still he took Nandini away.”

She furiously went to their room and opened it.

First she smiled looking them sleeping peacefully in each other's arms but then she remembered she was angry and about to shout when Harshad covered her mouth from back.

“Dare you wake her up. Agar meri baby girl tumhari wajah se uthi toh I'm gonna flip you out.!”, He whispered.

Nia somehow freed herself but before she could say anything Harshad dragged her out.

“Leave me you moron!”, She shouted

“Don't shout.! Otherwise I know how to shut mouth of girls like you!”, He also shouted.

“Oh come on! You jerk face! I'm not scared of you!”

“Youuu!!”

“Yes me! And FYI for your kind information I was not going to disturb Nandi main bas Manik ko utane wali thi! So dare you interrupt!”

“Oh! Carry on.! I'm with you on this.”

Rolling her eyes she went inside and threw a jug of chilled water on Manik's face. He woke up with a jerk and because of him Nandini got disturbed.

He glared Nia who rolled her eyes.

“Out of my room! Now!”, He shouted but ignoring him she sat on the couch and said blowing her nails, “Make Nandi sleep first then we'll talk!”

Manik gritted his teeth but followed what she said.

Nandini was in half sleep clinging to him.

He laid again and patted her head till she slept.

Kissing her forehead he sat with Nandini laid beside him holding his hand.

“What the fucking hell was that Nia Sharma!”, He whisper yelled on her.

“I can ask the same question! Why the hell did you brought Nandi here? I was so worried above all you guys are not allowed to meet!”

“First thing she can't sleep without me even for a second! And where was your so called worry when she didn't have her medicine last night and above all no one can stop to meet us! Now if you got all your answer then you can leave aaj koi rasam ni h toh I think you should let my baby sleep! Out now!!”

Nia left leaving them.

“I shouldn't have behave like this!”, Manik thought looking at Nia's sad figure going out.

He looked at Nandini who was clinging to him more and more.

He checked her feet and found it better.

He laid beside her and said caressing her face, “Nanhi..Wake up!”

But she was in deep sleep.

He stood leaving her on bed as he knows she won't wake up until he will leave her on bed.

“Nanhi. I'm telling you lst tym. Wake up! Breakfast krna h tumhe!”

She opened her eyes not finding him beside her and shouted, “No..!! Monstu..!! Idhar aao.! Avi!! Monstu!!!”

“Kya hua jaan? Yahi toh hu”, he said taking his clothes out from closet.

She started crying and stood on bed, “Ni. Monstu.!”

Looking her crying he came out angrily and about to shout on her but looking at her he was shocked.

She had thrown all the blankets, pillows and everything and was crying badly.

As she saw him she threw herself on him and started crying badly.

“You left me.! Mujhe ni jana tumse dur..! Plzz! Don.. Don't.. lea.. leave me alone.. plii.. pliizz!”

“Idhar dekho.. look.. kya hua h! Fir se wahi batein! Har waqt crying!”, He scolded her.

“Maine dekha… sapne me.. koi le jaa rha h mujhe tumse!”

“Kuch ni hoga aisa! Chalo wake up! Main office jaa rha hu.”

“Main v office jaungi.!”

“Kyu?”

“Ni. Mujhe jana h!!”

“Ni. Stay at home.! Kal mehandi h na! Tum rest kro isliye today is no rasam.”

“Nhii…!! Jana h tumhre saath!”

“Kal jo apni ankle ki halat ki thi uske baad you really think I'll take you with me?”

“Niiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!”

“Nanhi! Ek tapad padega! Chup chap fresh ho jao!”, He shouted and like a scared rabbit she went in the washroom.

After having breakfast Manik stood to leave but Nandini kept following him. He turned and said, “I won't take you with me!”

He came outside and sat in his car. Crying Nandini tried to sit but before she could reach the car, the driver sped up.

She ran behind the car but before she could come out of main gate the guards locked it. She kept crying holding the grills. Manik was watching everything from the rear view mirror. He sighed!

“Sudeep car ruko!”

Driver stopped n Manik stepped down n stood spreading his arms. He nodded to the guards n they opened gate. She smiled b/w her cries and flung in his arms.

“Stubborn head”, he whispered pecking her forehead!

He sat with her in the car and both drove to office.

Manik was in his continuous meeting when saxsena came.

He went in manik’s cabin even after stopping by receptionist. She immediately called Manik n he came running leaving the meeting in middle.

Nandini was peacefully sleeping hugging manik's blazer on the couch.

Saxsena was about to touch her to wake her up when Manik came and hold his hand stopping him to touch her.

“Sochna v ni! Mar dalunga!”,he warned jerking his hand away.

“Kitne minutes bachoge mujhse? Le toh jaunga hi! Dur! Bht dur!”, He said wickedly.

Manik stood b/w him n Nandini n said, “You can't even touch her! Koi v! Koi v mujhse meri bachi ni chin skta!”

Saxsena smiled more evily and said, “Lawyer tell him the gud news!”

His lawyer came in front and said, “Mr. Malhotra Mr. Saxsena has filled a case against for kidnapping his 6 old month daughter and also for keeping her away from past 20 years. If you won't let her take him then case will be taken to court!”

Manik rolled his eyes and said, “Ho gya? Now out of my office otherwise I'll call the security!”

“Don't take it lightly Manik!”, Saxsena tried to warn him.

“Tch.. Don't take me lightly! Never ever! I already told you no one! No one can take my child away from him! Get dat! And FYI c is not under 18 dat you can take her with you! She can take  her own decision and as I'm her husband I'm not allowing you to meet her! Now out!!!”, Manik shouted and called the guards.

Saxsena went but not before threatening him, “So what if I couldn't take her away now! I'll make sure to separate her with you even if I've to kill her for it!”

He went away but his last words imprinted on Manik's mind.

Nandini woke up after sometime and found Manik caressing her cheeks keeping her head in lap.

She smiled to which he pecked her lips.

“Ice cream khani h!”

“Ni. Ghar chalo!”

“Ni. Ni. Ice cream!”

“Baby listen to me!”

She showed her tongue and ran outside. She came outside and ran towards the main road. Manik followed running behind her.

She ran without looking anywhere ran towards the road.

Manik’s eyes widen as he saw a truck speeding up towards her….!!!
