At Murthy house

Nandu was sitting in the balcony, staring the stars. Though she was an introvert, she too needs someone to talk, someone who would just be there with her. Abhimanyu was such a person. He would fight with her, he would pamper her and irritate the shit out of her but would never ever leave her. Though he is going only for a week she would miss him as there won't be anyone who would barge into her room at nights nor there would be any late night calls cribbing about her lack of attention on them but secretly checking upon her on whether she is fine or not. She was angry as Abhi didn't even allow her to come to the airport in the morning.

In all these, she didn't realize when a message popped on her mobile from a desperate person who is having similar thoughts about her. Manik who had seen an upset Nandini while leaving the office, is restless to know the reason and found out through Abhimanyu. He messaged her and was waiting for her reply,

Message

Would you like to accompany me to the airport tomorrow? I am feeling too scared to come alone after dropping them. 😨😨

Nandini who read the message understood what he was trying to do and instantly called him.

Nandini: (excited) Manik.

Manik: woah. Itna excitement. Mere liye? I am proud of myself.

Nandini: Manik please na.

Manik: acha fine. So, are you coming tomorrow?

Nandu: lekin Abhimanyu?

Manik: I will handle him. Who would dare to stop my P.A to come with me? I know I am smart and you can thank me later. Now sleep. Goodnight.

With that, he cut the call without giving any chance for Nandu to speak. Nandu couldn't help but smile at this guy who was trying very hard not to let even a single frown on her forehead.

It's been long since I have shared something with you.

(Itne dino baad yaad aayi meri? Maine tumhe bahut miss kiya hai Nandu)

Manik has become a friend, in fact, a very good friend.

(Acha bataya hi nahi mujhe? You naughty girl. Isiliye bhul gayi mujhe?)

Yesterday, when he dropped his plan of going somewhere just for me to complete my book, made me fall for this guy a little more than usual. Today when I was sitting here all cursing Abhi for not letting me come to the airport, I don't know from where this guy came to know about this and he texted me to come to the airport tomorrow along with him. After dad, I never thought anyone would understand my thoughts without me saying it aloud. But this guy is proving me wrong every day.

(Banda gentlemen lag raha hai. Uff good for him, nahi tho maine pura plan bana liya tha iska murder karne.)

After a long time, someone is reminding me of dad. I miss you, papa. I miss you, mumma.

(No Nandu. Please don't cry. Mummy Papa nahi tho kya, Abhi hai na, chacha chachi hai. Wo jo tumhara crush hai na, tumhara naya fraaaaand, wo bhi hai. Aur main bhi tho hun na.)

She gets emotional and sleeps hugging the diary. She wakes up after few hours and gets ready. Here Manik wakes up and picks Abhi and Cabir before the required time. Cabir sat beside Manik while Abhi was at the back.

Cabir: Manik, what's your problem? Adhe ghante pehle kyun bulaya? Mujhe neend aa rahi hai.

Manik: (dramatically) I want to spend some more time with you Cabir. Mere liye tum apna neend nahi chod sakte ho?

Cabir: (cupping his cheek) I know baby, tum mera pyaar samaj jayoge. Lekin itne jaldi yeh nahi pata tha. Tere liye jaan bhi haazir hai, yeh choti si neend kya cheez hai jaaneman.

Manik: acha tho apna food chod de.

Cabir: (taking his hand off Manik's cheek) pagal hai. Isse acha breakup hi tha. Chal airport chal. Nahi chahiye tera pyaar.

Manik bursts out laughing seeing a pissed off Cabir. He notices an unusually silent Abhimanyu through the mirror and smiles looking at him. He halts the car.

Cabir: itne jaldi airport aa gaya?

Manik: Guys get down. (Says looking at a confused Abhimanyu particularly)

Both of them get down only to find Nandu coming out of her house and stands infront of them.

Abhi: Nandu tu yaha...

Manik cuts him in between,

Manik:(says with a smirk) Guys I wanted my P.A to accompany us to airport. I hope you are fine.

Cabir: haan haan. Ofcourse. Let's go.

Nandu sits at the back along with Abhi but both were silent. Manik points at them to Cabir and winks.

Manik: Cabir, I guess Abhi doesn't know my P.A. Why don't you introduce her to him?

Cabir: oh ya. Nandini meet Abhimanyu. Abhimanyu meet Nandini.

Abhi gives a glare to Manbir and looks towards Nandu

Abhi: Nandu

Nandu: (fuming) Don't you dare talk to me. You didn't even want me to come, right?.

Nandu starts hitting him. After being tired, he holds her hand to stop her and gives a side hug.

Abhi: sorry na babydoll. It won't be safe for you to come alone after dropping me. Isliye bola tha.

Nandu:(with a sad face) I will miss you.

Abhi: I will miss you too.

Cabir: (with a serious face) And I will miss the flight.

Abhi and Nandu look at each other confusedly while Manbir burst out laughing looking at their expression. They realize that they have reached the airport. They talk for a while till there was an announcement. After the announcement, Abhi hugs Nandini while Cabir hugs Manik.

Abhi (to Nandu): You will take care of yourself and if you miss Mumma Papa, you will straight away go to mom dad instead of crying all night. No skipping of food, no working overtime, no straining yourself.

Nandu: tum bhi apna khayal rakhna. Eat properly and chacha chachi ko call karna. They will be worried.

While they were talking, Manik was all the time adoring the siblings and their bond. Cabir finds an emotional sibling duo and a lost Manik.

To lighten up the situation, he says to Manik, audible enough for the other two,

Cabir: Baby tum bhi apna khayal rakhna. No affairs while I am not there. Promise me that you will not forget me and will call me every hour to say how much you miss me and how much you love me.

Manik gives him a glare while Murthy siblings laugh out. Abhi goes and hugs Manik while Cabir gives a side hug to Nandu.

Cabir: Princess, you take care. I will take care of that idiot, don't worry.

Nandu nods and wishes a happy journey for him.

Abhi:(in Manik's ears, while hugging) take care.

Manik: I will. Mera bhi aur uska bhi.

Abhi mutters a thank you and was about to say something when Cabir interrupts,

Cabir: yaar itna tho movies mein hero-heroine gale nahi lagte jitna der tum dono lagte ho. Ab tho chodo bhi ek dusre ko.

Manik and Abhi were about to pounce on him when there was another announcement. So, they leave after few last byes.

How was the update? Many of you have guessed that Manik would lift up Nandu's mood by taking her out or so but yahan baba khud Nandu ko Airport lekar aaye. Very Unpredictable Manik.  😝😝
