Standing in front of Grandpa's room, I took a deep breath.
Leaving Maniks hand, I sternly said " stay here. ....I will be back! !!!!"
As soon as I entered the room, I found Grandpa ,calmly looking at me .
Before I could say anything, Grandpa declared " main tumhara hi intezaar kar raha tha! !!!!!"
Me ( controlling my anger ) : kal party mein joh kuch bhi hua. ....
Again, Grandpa cut in, not at all allowing me to speak.
Grandpa ( commanded ): mujhe pataa tha. ...ki tum kal raat ke bareme hi baat karne aaogi! !!!!.....so Nandini. ...yesterday night you got engaged to Manik. ...and I am really happy for both of you! !!!
Me ( pissed off ) : par Grandpa. ....kal joh kuch bhi hua .....
Grandpa ( cuts in ) : umid karta hu Nandini. ....ki tum aapne Maa ki tarah. ....saari responsibilities chhod ke bhaag nehin jaogi! !!!!
As soon as Grandpa mentioned about Maa, my face turned pale and I was about to cry.
The fact that, Grandpa thought me to be as irresponsible as Maa, just broke my heart.
Unable to say anything, I left from there.

Grandpa's Flash Back. ....

I was passing by the balcony, when I heard Manik saying " hence. ....I and Nandini are not in a relationship! !!!!......we are not boyfriend and girlfriend! !!!!!!"
On listening to this, I was shocked and stood over there like a statue.

Grandpa's Flash Back End's. .....

Grandpa ( pov ) : I know. ....I had hurt Nandini today! !!!!....magar yeh karna zaruri tha. ....Nandini ke liye Manik se accha ladka nehin mil sakta hai! !!!!
Grandpa's thoughts were interrupted, as Dadaji spoke " kya hum ne sahi kiya Yash? ????.....dhokhe se baccho ka engagement karna? ????....kya yeh sahi tha? ?????"
Grandpa  ( with a smile ) : hmm. ....hum ne bilkul sahi kiya hai! !!!!!.....Nandini aur Manik abhi bacche hai. .....dheere dheere woh bhi iss rishte ko maan lenge! !!!!
Dadaji ( a little bit disturbed ): agar aisa nehin hua toh? ????.....agar Nandini nehin maani toh ??????
Grandpa ( calmly ) : Manik ki ankhon mein maine Nandini ke liye pyaar dekha hai! !!!!!.....ussi pyaar ke daam par Manik. .... Nandini ko zarur badal dega. ....

Coming out of Grandpa's room, I instinctively held Maniks hand and dragged him with me. I purposefully avoided looking at Maniks face, to ignore his questioning glance.
Entering the bathroom, I left Maniks hand.
Moving forward, I opened the shower. Standing below it, I just closed my eyes and let the water cool my hot head.
Manik didn't utter a single word, but just keept on starring at me, with his concerned eyes.
After few seconds, the water did it's magic and I was feeling better.
Looking at Maniks eyes, I coldly asked " tumhare life mein koi aur ladki hai kya? ???....koi girlfriend? ????.....yah crush? ????"
Asking this, I Impatiently waited for his reply. While, Manik just gave me a disturbed look.
I don't know why, but his silence was killing me from inside.
And finally, Manik replied, by nodding his head in a ' NO ' .
Learning about this fact, I just felt overwhelmed, but controlled my emotions.
Me ( calmly declared ) : tum kya socchte ho. ...iss baat se mujhe koi farak nehin paddta! !!!!!....meri tumhare saath engagement hui hai. .....aur main tumhari fiance hu! !!!!!!.....as a fiance. .....main aapni saari responsibilities nibhaungi! !!!!.....aur agar tumhe iss baat se koi problem hai. ....toh tum jaake Grandpa ke saamne roo sakte ho! !!!!!....par mera decision nehin badalne wala! !!!!!
After ordering him, I just dashed out of the bathroom.
I desperately wanted to prove Grandpa wrong, that I am not like my MOTHER.
While standing under the shower, Manik started crying out of happiness.
