~ He looks at her like he just realized what love is ~

NANDINI

"That moment which was going to happen if the manager didn't interrupted. Want to continue from where we left?" Manik came dangerously close to me as I clutched the seat cover and had no space to move. I closed my eyes as he leaned towards me, I didn't even stopped him, neither leaned towards him. I just closed my eyes, I didn't had any control over my actions at that moment.

I could feel his breath on me, I was drowned in his cologne which was doing wonders to me. It left me senseless, it was the first moment with Manik which I was having and it really had the old Nandini there,  not the one who was sad or upset about the past but the one who was ready to live life and start a new beginning.

"Tring Tring." The phone buzzed in my purse and Manik rolled his eyes. I am sure he was swearing but was controlling himself for my sake. I couldn't help but let out a chuckle to which he glared.

It was Navya. I had almost forgotten that she was supposed to come to my home. "Hello, Navya, I am so sorry!!! I knew you were going to come but...."

"Bas bas...Aunty ne bataya mujhe Sab. Calm down. It's fine, it had been a long time since you were out. Aunty wanted to know if everything is fine..."

"Yes, yes everything is fine, we took a lot of time in shopping, I guess. Anyways, I am with Manik and will be reaching home soon. See you there!" I bit my lip and looked at Manik who was giving a sheepish smile. I disconnected the call and looked at Manik.

"Friend waiting,huh? We have to head home, I suppose? Waise, I don't mind making your friend wait a little more, what say?" He asked leaning towards me while I pushed him back to his seat with my fingers. I gave a sarcastic smile and shook my head. He smiled and continued driving.

As soon as we reached home, Navya was already at the doorstep waiting for us. I immediately jumped out of the car and hugged her. "Nandu...." She screamed and Uff, iss ladki ka kuch nahi ho sakta. Amma also came out and saw us. Manik went to her and touched her feet as she blessed him.

"Manik...Meet Navya.. my childhood and only best friend, she is like a soul sister to me." I spoke as both of them faced each other and exchanged warm smiles.

"And Navya.. Meet Manik.. my fiance and your to be Jiju." I spoke and blushed. Navya held me by my shoulders and giggled while Manik had a naughty smile playing on his lips seeing me blush.

"Manik....it was nice to meet you." Navya spoke warmly as she pulled me inside home to talk while I looked behind to see Manik looking at me and I gave a smile to him.

"Manik is so hotttt!!!!!" Navya shouted as we were inside my room and I held my head because of the loud noise she was creating. "Navya, calm down!" I spoke as I made her sit in bed but she was so excited that it seemed her eyes are gonna pop out anytime soon.

"Itna hot ladka...dekhne ke baad, Kaun calm down Hota hai Bhalaa... unfortunately Mera jija hai woh. But Saali Bhi toh aadhi gharwali Hoti Haina." Navya spoke making a face and I hit her with a pillow.

"Oh hello, stop getting ideas. He is mine!"

I spoke without realizing what I had just said. Navya raised her eyebrows and excitedly came close to me as I closed my eyes out of embarrassment. "He is mine!? Possessive wife to be!" She nudged me while I covered my face with my hands to hide my blush, but Navya knew me inside and out. She tried to remove my hands from my face. "Chodh na Navyaaa...." I spoke to cover up, Navya stopped trying and I removed my hands to see what was going on. I looked to find her smiling with tears in her eyes.

"Navyaa....kya hua?..." I asked as I held her hands with anxiety. "Nandu... I am so happy for you, I had thought that whatever happened, you won't be able to smile and blush like this once again. And I am happy to be proved wrong. Jadoo hai yeh ladka.. Nandini. He is magic. You remember how I was comparing him with Madhyam before your date? I was a fool to compare a gem with a stone. He is the perfect guy for you, Nandu. And you're getting married to him, what can be better than this?"

She spoke and I engulfed her in a hug because of high emotional quotient in the air. She stroked my hairs gently and I hugged her more.

MANIK

Once again, someone came between our kiss. Bhagwaan Ji, Shaadi ke pehle bas ek kiss? Please? Why did it had to be so cumbersome. Anyways, I reached home to find my gang already there.

"Pack your bags, Dulhe Raja.." Cabir spoke as I entered.

"For what?" I asked.

"Exercise Karne ke liye. Okay?" Cabir mocked and I looked on.

"Hain?" I asked and he threw a cushion at me.

"Sahi kaha hai kisine, love destroys all the senses and makes you nonsense. Abey, we all are going for a trip to Lonavla for weekend,to have some fun before the entry of Bhabhi in your life." Cabin spoke and I looked towards the others and they nodded.

Weekend without Nandini? Nah.... didn't wanted to think about it also and here I had to go away from her for the whole damn weekend. A frown appeared on my face thinking about it.

"Manik, go pack na..."  Mukti spoke but I was not listening to her as I was busy thinking how will I stay without seeing her for 2 whole days.

"MANIK!" The whole group shouted and I looked at them. "Kya hogaya?" I spoke thinking something went wrong, and the gang giggled.

"Nandini and her friend Navya are also coming with us. Nyonika Aunty has talked to Pallavi Aunty about it, so chill. We knew you'll love to have Nandini with us on this trip. Naina?" Alya spoke and I had a huge grin on my face. My gang was the best. FAB 5 was the best.

"Haan, dil kahan lagta hai Bhai ka aajkal, Bhabhi ke bina." Dhruv spoke with a mischievous grin playing on his lips.

"Arre, guys...I wanted Nandini to come because this way she'll get to know you guys na...she has only met Mukti and Alya till now, and that too itne ache se nahi...." I was speaking when Cabir cut me off in between.

"Rehne de Manik beta...Nandini ko tere saare kaand bhi toh bataane hai...kyun guys?" Cabin spoke and Mukti gave a hi five to him.

"Absolutely! It'll be so much fun!" Multi spoke and gave their naughty smiles to me. I wasn't bothered because Nandini was coming with me, yay!

"Manik...." mom called out to me and I went to her in the kitchen. "Mom, aapne Pallavi Aunty se baat karli?" I spoke as I kept my head on her shoulder,hugging her from the back. "Haan, karli. They'll be ready by 10, you guys have to pick them up." Mom spoke and I mentally created an alarm in my mind. I won't make her wait, I'll reach there 9:45 itself.

"Manik....Waise, your wedding invitation card is here." Mom spoke and immediately my eyes gleamed. "Where is it?" I asked excitedly.

"It was in the living room itself. You didn't find it on the table?" Mom asked and I ran towards the living room to find Cabir holding it and teasing me to catch him. I ran after him, and he threw it towards Mukti who took the catch and teased me more. She threw it towards Alya who took the catch but she had to throw it to Dhruv because I had almost reached her. I looked at Dhruv and he came towards me, handed me the card.

"Dhruv.... itna maza aara tha.... you spoiled it." Mukti spoke while I hugged Dhruv. "Bhai ki shaadi hai, uska haq banta hai iss card pe." Dhruv spoke while the other came towards me as we shared a group hug. It was emotional for each one of us. They were waiting for the marriage of their brother, their protector, they had so many expectations from Nandini, and I knew she'll live up to them. But the thing that scared me the most was, will our friendship change after marriage?

So, I guess this is the last update till I am done with my exams, I don't know if I will be able to write or not, if there is a hike in votes and comments which will show how much you guys love this story, I'll try to write a chapter or two but not more than that.
