Nandini and manik entered at the terrace and stood there drinking coffee and looking at the sky..

Manik: beautiful stars..

Nandini looked at him smiling: you like stars?

Manik: yess..ofcourse! They are so pretty..

Nandini: fireflies are soo much better

Manik: whats with you and stars? I have heard you hating on stars before too..

Nandini: the accident..we went to see the meteor shower and then you know..

Manik: yeah..that day i got the best thing in my life..dhruv..he saved my life..

Nandini: weird how one incident can be so different for people..

Manik: hmm..

Nandini looked at manik as he stared at the stars above.. There was a smile on his face..nandini didnt know why but she felt good seeing that smile..she was smiling too..

Manik looked at her and then the coffee mug: done?

Nandini: yes..

Nandini gave it to him..

Manik kept them aside and then came and stood infront of nandini again..

Nandini: manik..things have not been good between us..i can understand if u think all of this is a mistake..

Manik looked shocked at nandini

Manik: mistake?

Nandini: haan..i mean you and me..even we know what happened manik and..its not normal..

Manik's anger triggered in a moment and he moved a step closer to nandini..nandini could see it in his eyes that he was pissed..very very pissed..to ignore anymore arguments nandini turned around to walk away but manik held her hand and pulle her back with nandini hitting with his body..

He placed her hand on his shoulder and then entwined his fingers with hers and moved his other hand to her waist gripping it tight..

Manik started dancing slowly with her..

Nandini: manik what are you doing?

Manik gripped her waist more tight making nandini jerk and move closer to him..

Manik: making more mistakes?

Nandini looked confused at him..

Nandini: manik please..

Manik: no why? You think its a mistake na?

Nandini: manik..

Manik pulled her more closer..his nose was touching her forehead..

Nandini: manik its hurting..

Manik gripped her more tight and nandini closed her eyes..

She slowly opened her eyes to see manik staring at her..

Nandini: manik..you have so much good in you..why do you show people the monster side?

They were still slowly doing a couple dance and both of them couldnt get their eyes off each other..

Nandini: you do manik..i can see it..

Manik: you cant see anything nandini..

Nandini: i can..

Manik: just shutup

Nandini: you care so much manik..why do u hide it?

Manik: because thats how you live in this world! You cant show people you care..because you have to survive this world..

Nandini: you can survive this world by showing the good side too manik..

Manik tightened his grip

Manik: still no?

Manik looked at her amused..she was one hell of a girl and as stubborn as he was..

Manik loosened his grip slowly..

Manik: btw..you shouldnt be friends with harshad..

Nandini: why?

Manik: he is not the right guy..

Nandini: ofcourse you will say that..you hate him..

Manik: and there is a reason.. So just trust me on this..stay away from him..

Nandini smiling: see you care..

Manik looked at her annoyed and then moved back..

Manik: you are delusional..

Nandini: i dont think so..

Manik: you are.. Lets go inside..

Nandini and manik went out..they were in the staircase...all the lights were switched off and it was completely dark..

Manik: mobile hain?

Nandini: nehi..

Manik: wow..

Nandini and manik slowly started going down..nandini could feel that manik was breathing heavily..

She slowly moved his fingers between his one and held his hand tightly..

Nandini: its okay..mein hoon yaha dknt be scared..

Manik stammering: i wasnt scared..

Nandini smiling: ofcourse..i was..

They both went down and to manik's room..

Nandini: you guys live together na? You,cabir and dhruv?

Manik: hmmm..

Nandini: how did you guys become friends with abhimanyu and aryaman? I heard fab5 never talks to anyobe..

Manik: rumours..we talk to those people only whom we like..

Nandini: wow so choosy..

Manik gave nandini a look..

Nandini: okay..sorry

Manik: hmm..

Nandini: i toh love making bew friends..

Manik: oh my god! Why do u talk so much..

Nandini: toh aur kya karu? We are just standing in your room..kuch toh karna parega na for time pass?

Manik: so you want time pass?

Nandini: haan..

Manik moved towards nandini..
Nandini stood still and stared at him come towards her with a smirk on his face..

Manik on the other hand had no control..he knew he shouldnt do this..but he was still doing it and his heart was totally loving the win it was having over his mind..

Manik came very close to her..nandini still did not move a step and her body was stiff..she looked down as manik came closer..his chin was touching her head as she looked down..
Manik moved his hand to her waist and pulled her and nandini looked at him..her hands landed on his shoulders..

Nandini softly: manik we shouldnt..

Manik tightened his grip

Manik: we shouldnt what?

Nandini stammering: this is not right...

Manik: toh why are you still standing so close to me? Why does your eyes say that you have no problem with this?

Nandini closed her eyes as her hands gripped his tshirt tightly..

Manik kissed her forehead...
Nandini's whole body shivered as his lips touched her skin..it was like an electric current.. Her heartbeat increased so much that she felt as if she could hear all the sounds..

Manik slowly moved his hand underneath her tops...his cold hands made nandini breathe more heavier.. She slowly opened her eyes to look at him..manik was still staring at her and his hands slowly moving upwards beneath her tops..

Just then they heard dhruv call out nandini's name..

Manik and nandini both moved apart and dhruv came inside opening the door..

Dhruv: tum dono yaha kya karrahe ho?

Manik: woh..nothing..we werent sleeping so we were just talking..

Dhruv: talking and you too? I hope your talking doesnt mean fighting..

Manik and nandini both looked at each other..nandini totally embarassed and manik was smiling..

Manik: surely not fighting..might mean alot of other things..

Nandini looked at manik surprised..her cheeks went red instantly and a small smile crept on her face while manik quickly winked at her..

Dhruv: what?

Manik: nothing buddy! Tu bol..kuch bolna tha?

Dhruv: haan..actually my sleep broke! Chalo lets plan then?

Nandini: haan..chalo!

They sat on the bed making a circle..

Nandini: okay so surprise date..

Dhruv: haan everything planned for the date..dinner,music everything..something after that?

Nandini: umm..how about fireworks?

Dhruv: thats gonna be amazingg..

Nandini: haan then whats the problem?

Dhruv: who is gonna do the fireworks?

Manik and nandini: me

They both looked at each other..

Dhruv: you guys can?

Manik still looking at nandini: ofcourse.. We can just buy them and do it

Nandini moved her eyes breaking the eye contact..

Nandini stammering: haan so manik will do that..

Manik: tum?

Nandini looked at manik: mein kya?

Manik: tum nehi karoge?

Nandini: you are doing it na?

Dhruv: haan! Akele it wont be fun both of you do it..

Nandini: mein kaise..

Manik: why nandini? I thought we were not enemies anymore

Nandini: haan..thik hain...

Dhruv: so we do it tomorrow?

Nandini: dinner date all planned?

Dhruv: yes..its in an open space..two hours from here

Manik: okay then done! Best of luck buddy..

Dhruv: i will come guys..

Nandini: mein bhi ati hoon..

Manik smiled looking at nandini and nandini noticed his smile too...
She went with dhruv and then went downstairs and rushed to the balcony..

Nandini took a long breathe..

Nandini: needed fresh air so bad.. Aiyappa yeh monster manik aur uske looks..sach mein it will kill me one day!
