Nandini came inside her room. She dropped her things on the bed and sat down on it. She kept her both hand on head which was paining.

Nandini:- What a bad day!

She was pressing her head that time her phone started ringing. She made a irritate face. She took her phone Manik's name was showing on the screen. Within a second her mood changed into a happy one.  She picked up the phone.

Nandini:- Hello Manik.

Manik:- Oh ho someone was waiting. But didn't call me whole day.

Nandini:- Sorry I was very busy today.

Manik smiled.

Manik:- Its totally fine. I was just teasing you.

Nandini:- Manik can we meet tomorrow?

Nandini was bitting her lips.

Manik:- Actually Nandini I called you to share this news with you. I am joining office from tomorrow.

Nandini:- Congrats Manik. I am really happy for you. But it's pretty urgent. Can you gave me 30 minutes?

Manik:- Urgent!? Are you OK Nandini?

Manik was hell worried.

Nandini:- Yeah I am totally fine. I can't share it with you now. Can we please meet?

Manik:- OK let's meet on lunch. I will pick you up from your hospital.

Nandini:- No no. I will come by myself.

Manik:- OK then see you tomorrow. You should take rest now. I love you.

Nandini:- Love you too.

Then they hanged up the phone. After fresh up Nandini went to sleep. Next morning Manik was standing with his father. His father was introducing him to his all workers. Manik was joining in the office as MD. Manik had a small smile on his face talking to them. Then his father took him to his cabin.

Vikram:- Here is your cabin. Hope you liked it.

Manik was looking around.

Manik:- It's good.

Vikram:- I renovated it according to your choice. Come sit on your position.

Manik sat on his chair.

Vikram:- Now you are looking like a true king. I can bet my son will rule this business world.

Manik:- I will Dad.

Vikram:- OK you just relax. I will appoint a assistant for you. Today I will give you some simple work do them and from next day your training will start.

Manik:- OK Dad.

Vikram:- Enjoy then.

Vikram left from there. Manik stood up and started looking around his office room. It has a beautiful city view. Till lunch Manik was little bit busy with his new work. He was getting familiar with the environment and the work. Soon it was lunch time. Manik left the office.

Manik massaged Nandini where they should meet. He again told her that he would pick her up but Nandini refused. They both meet in a small restaurant. They didn't wanna attract attention towards them specifically Nandini.

Manik reached the restaurant and went inside. He was searching for Nandini and saw her in the back and she was wearing scarf around her head with sunglasses. Manik went towards her.

Manik:- My love! What's with this get up?

Nandini removed the sunglasses.

Nandini:- Can't help it Manik. For others I am someone else fiance if media got to know about this. They will make headline's of it.

Manik:- Is that means you are cheating on your fiance? Oh my so bad love.

Nandini rolled her eyes.

Nandini:- Seriously Manik. Stop all this. I have something to say.

Manik:- Yes love.

Manik held her hand which have band-aid on it.

Manik:- Is your hand OK now? Any pain?

Nandini:- Yes it's fine now no more pain.

Manik started playing with her fingers and hand. He was not listening to Nandini.

Nandini:- Manik listen to me.

Manik looked at Nandini.

Manik:- Yes love.

Nandini was little bit nervous.

Nandini:- I made some stupid deal with Dad.

Manik was confused.

Manik:- What deal?

Nandini:- I told Dad that Mr. Shah's new project you will get it.

Manik's eyes was wide open. Today he heard about Mr. Shah's project. Some special team was going to handle it. It was a big project for them.

Manik:- What? You must be kidding me.

Manik tried to laugh on it but seeing Nandini's face he thought aginest it.

Nandini:- I am not.

Manik took a deep breath.

Manik:- Nandini it's a big project. My Dad will never allow me to handle it.

Nandini:- I know but my mind was not in my control that time. I just wanted to win against Dad.

Manik held her hand.

Manik:- It's OK it happens.

Nandini:- But Manik now I can't go back of it.

Manik thought for a second.

Manik:- And what if you won the deal then what?

Nandini:- Dad will accept us and will call of the engagement.

Manik was totally shocked.

Manik:- What??? Really?

Nandini:- Yes.

There was a big smile on his face.

Manik:- That's unbelievable. Are you sure about it?

Nandini:- Yes Manik I am absolutely sure.

Manik was hell excited.

Manik:- We have to do it Nandini. I have to grab this chance. Time like this will not come again and again. Its my chance to show your dad I am worth of you.

Nandini:- But Manik how will you do it. It's impossible. Your dad will never agree on it.

Manik:- Nandini  believe in me. I will some how convence my dad. You just be by my side.

Manik held Nandini's hand tightly and kiss the back of it. Nandini smiled at him.

Manik:- I was thinking I should try your method.

Manik had a mischievous smile.

Nandini:- What kind of?

Manik:- Like you made  a deal with your Dad. I should made one also.

Nandini raised her eyebrows.

Nandini:- And what deal you will made?

Manik:- Like if I won I will marry Veebha.

Nandini's anger was on top floor.

Nandini:- Oh really?

Nandini gave him a big smile.

Manik:- Yeah really.

Nandini held his collar and pulled him to her.

Nandini:- Jaan na le lu main tumhara. ( I will take your life.)

Manik gluped up his saliva.

Nandini:- I dare you to do that Manik Malhotra. I am not that innocent Nandini any more. I will dig your grave right here.

Manik raised his both hand in surrender mode.

Manik:- Cool down baby. I was just kidding.

Nandini pushed him back. Manik started fixing his collar and colth.

Manik:- I never know you have this side also.

Nandini:- There are many things you don't know.

Manik drunk some water.

Manik:- Don't scare me baby. You know I love you.

Nandini:- Yeah i love myself also.

Manik:- Nandini!

Nandini laughed.

Nandini:- You can joke then why can't I?

Manik:- Your jokes are really dangerous.

Then they had lunch together. Manik and Nandini both parted their way. Nandini went to hospital and Manik went to his office again. Manik went to his father's cabin directly. Vikram was doing his work. Seeing Manik he stopped that.

Vikram:- Where were you Manik? Its your first day and you went missing on lunch break.

Manik:- I went to have lunch outside.

Vikram:- Veebha was waiting for you.

Manik sat in front of his father.

Manik:- Why she was here?

Vikram:- She wanted to surprise you and take you on a lunch.

Manik rolled his eyes.

Manik:- Let's stop talking about all these nonsense.

Vikram:- Manik you will marry her in someday. Don't talk about her like that.

Manik:- We will see. Now let me come to the point. Dad I wanna handle Mr. Shah's project.

Vikram was shocked.

Vikram:- You must be joking with me.

Manik:- No dad I am not. I am serious about it. I wanna work on it.

Vikram:- Manik today is first day of your job. You should relax and get familiar with the environment and work on small project.

Manik:- I don't want to Dad. I wanna work on it.

Vikram:- Its not some toy that you want. It's a big project. I can't let you ruin it.

Manik:- I am not ruining it. It still have 2 months before the presentation. I have enough time to work on it.

Vikram:- Why suddenly you want to? You have any particular motive behind it.

Manik's eyes lift up.

Manik:- Yes Dad motive. I want to show the world that I am not spoil brat like they talk about me. I wanna proof myself and my worth to the world.

Vikram have his hand on his cheek.

Vikram:- Wow I almost had tears in my eyes. Cut the crap I know you very well. Just tell me the truth I might change my mind.

Vikram against got busy with his work.

Manik(in mind) :- I can't tell you my real reason Dad. You will never agree with me.

Manik was thinking about other excuses.

Vikram:- If you don't want to tell me then I have a proposal for you. If you agree on it then I will let you handle this project.

Manik eyes lift up.

Manik:- Done.

Vikram:- Done? First hear about.

Manik:- Whatever is your proposal I have no objection.

Vikram:- OK then. You can work on Mr. Shah's project.

Manik was really happy.

Manik:- Thank you so much Dad.

Vikram gave him a smile. Manik stood up from his sit. He was about to left the cabin but Vikram stopped him.

Vikram:- Then get ready for the engagement.

Manik was confused.

Manik:- What engagement?

Vikram:- My deal was that if you agree to get engaged with Veebha then only I will let you be on this project and fortunately you did. Now get ready to do the engagement in a week.

Manik was stood there like a stone. He just forgot how to speak.

Manik(in mind) :- Why? Why it's happened with me only. It have to be me when the table has to turn. Nandini will kill me.

That's for today. What will Nandini will do when she will know about it? Will Manik able to handle both the situation and the project and our the Nandini Murty?
