I ran upto her but she already jumped.

I can't let her go.

Somehow I managed to hold her hand, So she didn't fall...but her head got hit by something and she fainted.

I pulled her up and tried to wake her up...

"Nandini!! Nandini wake up...please nandini"

I cried but she didn't wake up.

I panicked seeing her in this state and called the ambulance.

At the hospital

I was sitting here, Unable to speak a word as again and again I saw the scene before my eyes..of nandini jumping from the terrace.
If I was there before a few seconds, i could save her.

I am a failure.

I couldn't save her.

Pooja and priyal were crying too and Urjan was trying to console them.

Cabir was sitting right here, beside me.

"She was right in front of my eyes. still, I couldn't save her."

I said, With tears in my eyes.

"Aisa nahi hai bro. She will be fine...she has been hit on her head. don't worry."

He said trying to convince me.

"Nahi. Its my fault. I shouldn't have left her alone in the college."

Pooja said while crying.

"Guys, both of you...just--"

Before Cabir could complete the doctor came out.

"How is she doctor?"

I ran upto him and asked

"She has got some injuries on her left leg and an internal injury on her head, both because of getting hit by something sharp!!We will save her, but it is hard to say whether she will lose her memory or not."

Saying this he left.

These words were a shock to all of us present there.

How..can she lose her memory?

"What if she loses her memory?"

I said and fell on the chair not being able to stand up!!

"M..manik! Think postive na...s..she won't lose her memory. We will all pray for her"

Pooja said convincing me.

I remembered all the moments i have spent with her!!

Please god, she should be okay when i see her!

As i was thinking all this, time flew and the doctor came out saying,

"You all can meet her now! I will accompany you all to know whether she remembers everything or..."

His words scared me but gathering strength we all went inside to see her lying with no expressions and her leg and head covered with bandages!

Our eyes met but she broke the eyelock!

"Nandini, how are you feeling?"

Pooja asked her. She just gave a fake smile.

"Nandini do you know all of them?"

Doctor asked her as he was still unsure of her memory loss!

She just shook her head in a yes!

We all took a breath of relief that she hasn't lost her memory.

"You guys are very lucky! This is rare. In most of the cases the patients lose their memory. Nandini take care of yourself."

The doctor said and nandini smiled a bit.

I was looking at Nandini continuously but she didn't look at me even once.

"Nandini, aise kyun kiya tune?"

Finally, pooja asked her.

"Han Nandini, You were fine when we left you. kya hua badme??"

Priyal asked her set of questions too!

Nandini without realizing her surroundings, which i guess, said,

"Kyun bachaya mujhe? I don't want to live!!"

She finally said something. Tears fell out of her eyes.

"Kyun nandini? Kya hua aisa??"

Pooja asked again.

"Mukti ko kidnap kiya tha mom ne! And..."

She then told us everything.

I, Cabir and Urjan were shocked. How can a mother do this??

"I didn't want to go back par mujhe pata hai..if i stay here..they will harm you all and my friends in India. That is why i thought...this is the only way out."

She completed her part of the story.

"Tu pagal hai kya?We could complain in the police. why are you so scared? We are there na with you!"

Pooja assured her.

"Ye sab kya ho raha hai? Koi samjhayega hume?"

Urjan asked.

"Urjan, Manik, Cabir vo..."

Pooja then told us everything from the beginning.

I thought Nandini has been through so much but it was never visible on her face. yes, I knew she had changed..i knew she was stressed but to this level! I never thought! I wish i could share her pain!

"Don't worry! You are like my sister. I will not let you face any problem now! Hmm!"

Cabir suddenly said to which nandini smiled, she actually became happy hearing "Sister"
and in her happiness she hugged him.

"Thank you."

She said

"Bhai ko thanks nahi kehte!"

Cabir said and ran his hand through her hair.

"Okay. BHAI"

She said and they hugged again.

She finally looked at me and i was still looking at her. This time she didn't break the eye lock.

Everybody seeing the situation decided to leave us alone, but we were unaware of it.

"Acha nandu, you take care. Main aur pri abhi aye hun!"

Pooja said and they both went out.

"Nandini, hum chalte hai ab! Kuch chahiye hoga to batana hume."

Cabir and Urjan said and they left too.

Now WE were left alone.

We looked at each other.

We had a lot to talk but couldn't find words!

So nothing happened to Nandini!
