After shopping Manik went to parking lot to bring his car when he heard Raj shouting. Before Manik could understand anything Raj pushed him & a bullet hit Raj's left arm. But Raj cared less about his wound & took Manik behind a car. Till then thousand bullets were fired, Raj also took out his service revolver & started firing back.

Soon local police force reached there & took hold of those goons. When the situation was under control Raj looked at Manik who was sitting there hugging his knees tightly, just like a little scared kid.
Raj immediately sat on his knees, hugged him & said,

Raj:- (worried) hey Manu it's over. Look everything is alright baccha.

Manik:- (whispered) I am scared.

Raj rubbed his back & said,

Raj:- it's okey. I am there na, I will never let anything happen to you.  

Manik broke the hug & said,

Manik:- (innocently) i am scared for you.

With that Manik pointed toward Raj's wounded arm.

Raj:- (smiled) it's fine. Bullet bas suka nikal gayi.

Manik:- (with teary eyes) let's go to hospital, please.

Raj clearly understood Manik's insecurity & said,

Raj:- okey let's go.

At hospital

Doctor were treating Raj's wound when Manik got a call & said to Raj,

Manik:- I have to take this call. If you need anything I am just standing outside.

When Manik left the room after sometime doctor also left.
Raj was alone sitting on the bed when Neonika barged in holding his shirt's collar she said,

Neonika:- (shouted loudly) Acp Raj Malhotra didn't I say you to stay away from my son? Didn't I?

Raj:- (confused) now what the hell did i do?

Neonika:- (hell angry) don't act innocent Raj. Because of you my son's life is in danger again.

Raj:- (calmly) Neonika tum mujha galat samajh rahi ho.

Neonika:- (angrily) oh for god sake stop lying Raj.

Raj slowly removed Neonika's hands from his shirt collar & said,

Raj:- i am not lying Neo. Please trust me.

Neonika:- (laughed) trust or tumha?

Raj:- (hell irritated) I know I did wrong in the past but can't you forgive me for once?

Neonika:- (shouted loudly) a wife inside me may forgive her husband but how can a mother forgive her child's murderer ha?

As soon as Neonika said those words they heard a loud gasp. They turned back & saw Manik standing at the door with Nandini.

Manik:- (hell shocked) Mom what are you saying?

Raj:- (panicked) Manu don't believe her. A father can never harm his kids. It was just an accident.

Manik totally ignored Raj. He went to Neonika & said,

Manik:- Mom is it true? Is he a murderer? Mom why are you silent? Please say something.

Neonika:- yes it was an accident but he was the main reason for that. Because of him i lost my baby girl Mannat.

Manik:- (confused) Mannat? But Mom i never had a sister. Whom you are talking about?

Raj:- (calmly) you were only 5 years old then that's why you don't remember.

Neonika:- (with tears) I was 7 months pregnant when you were kidnapped. Hearing your kidnapping news I lost balance, fall down from stairs & lost her forever.

Raj:- (sadly) when we found you & admitted you to the hospital, Neonika came to me & told me to leave my job. but i denied her. then she made a contract paper  that i can't come close to my family until i leave my job.

Neonika:- (shouted) whatever i did, i did to save my son Raj. Manik was kidnapped because of you, i lost Mannat because of you. so what could you expect from a mother? didn't i give you option?

Raj:- (shouted back) country ka aga kuch bhi nahi. Family bhi nahi.

Neonika:- (angrily) if you can't leave your good for nothing job then leave us na. who said you to come back in our life again?

Raj:- i came back for my son and if you are concern about your fucking contract then let me tell you next month i am getting retied. so your contract paper is going to be valueless soon. 

Neonika:- (angrily) what do you think of yourself ha? jab chaha chorka chala jaoga or jab chaha bapas ajaoga? it's not happining Raj.

That's was enough for Manik. he couldn't control his temper anymore & shouted loudly.

Manik:- (shouted loudly) Enough..........

This story is going to end soon.
