Belated Happy Diwali..!!

My eyes got infected.. So was the late..  I tried to write but my eyes didnt support me..! Hope the delay wont effect the response of the story..!!

Manik- ye kya hehehe kar rahi ho.. FYI, many girls make a queue to be my date okay..??

Nandu- FIne.. Then go with whoever you want to..

she stamps her foot and went away..

Manik pov- Nandu ke Ayyappa.. ye ladki chahthi kya hai..??

Half of the day passed and Manik didnt bother Nandu at all.. She too was busy with her work..

At lunch time, Nandu comes to his cabin to remind him about the night party..

Nandu- Excuse me Sir.. 

Manik- Yes.. (replied working on the laptop)

Nandu- Sir..  WO..

Manik- Wait... Tell me.. how does this dress look..???

He asked her showing a knee length Elegant blue color sling truck dress..

Nandu- Beautiful it is.. But its not of my size..

Manik laughs - well.. who said this is  for you.. Its for my date tonight..!!

He replied smirking..

Nandu- So you have already got a date for yourself..

Manik- Yes..! Manik malhotra never accepts his defeat..!!

Nandu mutters- Manik Monster Malhotra...!!

Manik- by the way, why did you come..? Any work thing..??

Nandu- I just came to remind you about the night party..

she said rolling her eyes..

Manik- Yeah.. I remember that.. Thanks.. You may leave now..

she already left before he could complete his sentence..

Manik pov- Uff.. Good going Manik..!! Just wait for tonight..!!

NANDINI FLAT

Nandu pov- kya karoon..?? jao ya nahi..? This Monster completely occupied my brain.. Please someone get him out of my brain.. Ayyappa.. Please do something.. Dont know with whom Manik is gonna attend the party.. I'm the biggest fool.. I shouldnt  have challenged him.. Nandu.. Why are you feeling restless..? Just calm down.. He's your Manik..!! Trust him.. He wont let anyone to take your place.. Remember cabir words.. 

Cabir's words rang in her mind..

FLASHBACK

Cabir- Nandu.. Do you have any boyfriend.. I mean like MAnik..??

Nandu- shut up bhai.. I'm not like your stupid friend to play with my relations and feelings..

Cabir- See.. You're again getting him completely wrong..

Nandu- matlab..?

Cabir- After you left Manik..

she cut him in between and spoke..

Nandu- I didnt leave him.. He's the one..

Cabir- Okay.. meri sherni.. Let me complete atleast..

Nandu just nods..

Cabir- After your break up.. Manik never went close to any girl.. He didnt even attend business meets with any date.. He comes alone.. If he needed any date, he used to take Mukthi as his date.. But no one else..  

End of flashback...

Nandu- Ayyappa.. Please help me na.. NExt time I promise I wont pull these kind of stunts.. Please one last time forgive me..

Her phone rings flashing Cabir's name..

Nandu- Ha bhai.. 

Cabir- You sound too low.. Are you fine..?

Nandu- yeah.. I'm fine.. 

Cabir- Okay.. I need your help.. 

Nandu- bolo..

Cabir- I already reached the party venue.. But i forgot to bring the file along.. 

Nandu- Then ask Manik to get it na..

Cabir- He's almost reached.. So can you please get it to here..?

Nandu- Okay.. fine.. where is it..?

Cabir- Thanks Nandu.. It was with Navya.. I'll send my car.. so that You can reach here soon.. 

Nandu- Hmm.. Anything else..?

Cabir- If possible get Navya along with you.. I've no date tonight..!!

he said making a puppy face..

Nandu- Aww.. Sure bhai..!!

Cabir- Thank you so much Nandu..

She hung up the call and jumps excitedly...

Nandu- thank you.. thank you.. thank you so much ayyappa..!!! Love you...

she immediately checks her wardrobe for a dress and picks a black jump suit..

But something lightens her brain..

Nandu pov- But Manik selected a blue one for his date..  That means he's going to wear something blue.. Why am I even trying to match him..? I'm just going to deliver the file.. Thats it.. (she tried to make up her mind) But what will I do alone in the party...? I dont have any date also.. Should I drop the plan of going.. No.. No.. what if Manik really gets another girl as date.. I should go and check on him.. Nandu.. have you gone mad..? why are you behaving so possessive all of a sudden.. Arghhh.. Hell with these thoughts.. I'm going as a secretary of Manik Malhotra.. yes.. As a secretary, I should obey their orders.. 

She slipped into a long gown instead and rushed to Navya's place..

NAVYA'S PLACE

Nandu rings the door bell..

Navya(surprised)- Hey Nandu.. 

they both greet each other..

Nandu- Wo.. Cabir forgot his file here.. He asked me to get it.. 

Navya- wait.. mein abhi laayi..

She brings the file and handed it to Nandu..

Nandu- Navya.. why dont you come along..?

Navya- nahi na.. I'm not interested..

Nandu- You should come Navya.. what if Cabir comes with another girl as date..

Navya- No.. he wont..

Nandu- He will.. See.. MAnik is also coming another  girl as his date..

Navya- what..?? 

Nandu- hmm..

she makes a sad face..

Navya- will cabir also go with someone else..??

Nandu- may be..!!

Navya- then I should definitely come..

Nandu- hmm.. we're already late.. So make it faster..

Navya- ha.. abhi aayi.. 

She turns to go but stops and yells peeking from the room door..

Navya- You're looking gorgeous soulie.. I dont know how will manik control himself..

Nandu- Shut up...!! 

and throws a cushion on her back which hits the door instead..

Soon the girls left for the party..

Cabir is luckily waiting outside the venue.. He greeted both of them..

Cabir side hugging nandu whispers- Thanks for bringing her..

she just gives him a sweet smile..

Navya- WHere is your monster handsome friend..?

Manik- right behind you Drama queen..!!

Navya and Nandu turns around to look at him..

He was looking deadly hot in Oxford Blue suit..

Nandu gawks at him with her wide mouth open..

Manik clicks his finger and spoke..

Manik- back to earth..

she closes her mouth and glares at him..

Manik- By the way Ms. Madhubala ji.. Thanks..

Navya- For what..??

Manik- for the compliment before..

Navya- oh.. Monster one..???

Manik- nahi.. Handsome wala.. 

he replies looking at Nandu..

Cabir- You both look perfect dates for each other..

Manik- Are we..?

he asked looking at nandu..

 (manan outfits)

But she ignores him and speaks..

Nandu - Bhai.. I think we're getting late...

Manik- Ms. Murthy..!! aap kaha ja rahi ho without your date..? 

Cabir- We're going.. You both finish your "talks" and join us..

Cavya left them alone..

Manik- so where is your date tonight..?

Nandu- wo.. wo..

stammers while replying..

Manik- wo kya nandu..

Nandu- tum bhi toh apni date ke sath nahi aaye ho..?

Manik- who said i've not come with my date..!!

Nandu- Oh.. You have one..!! okay.. Enjoy your time then..!

She replied sadly and turned to move..

Manik- Dont you wanna meet her..?

Nandu- I'm not interested..!

Manik- soch lo..

Nandu- Bye..

Manik- There she is..

he spoke excitedly..

She promptly turned and found no one..

Nandu- where..???

Manik shown his fingers pointing something..

she follows his gesture and turns to her left finding  her own face in the artificial water pond..

(Assume its night time)

A million dollar smile spreads on her face..

Manik- Isnt she beautiful..???

he asked back hugging her..

She just blushes..

He kisses on her hair from side ways still back hugging her... Her cheeks turns into deep red..

Manik- So..

Nandu tilts her head a little and looks at him still remaining in the same position..

Manik- I won..

she looks confused..

Manik- Arey.. the challenge you made.. to bring a date..  Remember..??

Nandu pulls apart from his hold and argues like a small baby..

Nandu- No.. You didnt..

Manik- Oh really..!!

Nandu- First thing.. I'm not your date tonight.. So you lose..

Manik- Then..?

Nandu- I just came here as  a secretary to my boss..!!

Manik- Dont be smart..!

Nandu- Dont you know.. Nandini Murthy born smart..!

Manik- Okay.. I agree. I loose. Ab toh andhar chalo..

Nandu happily holds his arm and speaks..

Nandu- Good boy.. Lets go..

he folds his hand backwards just like a true gentleman and  they started moving inside..

As Manik and Nandini enters the hall.. The whole press concentration shifted towards them bombarding with lot of questions..

Nandu gets frightened..

Manik holds her from the waist and she looks at him with a worried face.. He just gave her an assuring smile.. she too smiles back..

Reporter 1-  Mr.Malhotra..! This is the first time you've spotted with a girl..! Is she your date tonight..?

Manik-  Yes..

Reporter 2- Your date is looking gorgeous..!

he looks at nandu and proudly holds her by waist..

Manik- Thanks..!

Nandu smiles..

Reporter 3- You both look made for each other.. Is she just your date or ..??

Manik- She's spe..

Nandu pinches him in his arm.. No one notices this..

Reporter 3- She is..??

Manik- My secretary..

Cabir came to their rescue..

Cabir- And just like my sister.. Please let them in.. No more questions please..

He took manan inside protecting from the reporters..

The party goes pretty well... Manik not at once left Nandu alone.. 

wherever he goes, he took her along and introduced her to most of the important people around.. Many of them complimented manan.. they just replied with a smile in return..

Manik felt proud that he has someone with him now whom he can say as his own..! From the past few years he was alone and never attended any parties or events so excitedly as he is now with Nandu..

They were asked for the prom dance..

Manik forwarded his hand and asked..

Manik- May I..??

she happily accepts and slips her hand in his... Both of them join the others in the prom..

They share a romantic dance at the prom.. Everyone's gaze shifted towards them..

The were perfectly matching each other steps which gained everyone's attention..

Manik whispers- Someone is looking breathtaking..!!

Nandu- And the one who said is no less..!!

Manik pulls her deathly close holding her by waist making their eyes lock..

Nandu- Manik..! sab dekh rahe hai..!

she mutters still dancing with little moves..

Manik- I dont care..

Nandu- Manik..! I dont want to spoil your reputation..!

Manik- And who said you'll ever spoil my reputation..

Nandu- Manik.. chodo na..

Manik- nahi.. Why did you stop me when I was introducing you as a special person in my life..

Nandu- Because I dont want them to get any wrong signals..

She replied slipping from his hand.. He holds her wrist and moves a little back stretching his one leg in a bending position and pulls her with strength.. She twirls and landed near his chest..

Manik- What's wrong in this..?

Nandu- Manik..! This is not the time to discuss..!

he twirls her and she smiles while twirling..

Manik- then..??

Nandu- Manik..!!!

Manik- Will you leave me again..??

he lifts her balancing with his hands while she holds him tight and bends her head backwards in the crook of his neck.. whereas his lips are slightly touching her bare neck making her eyes close with his proximity..

Nandu leans onto his face and whispers..

Nandu- Never..!!

he smiles and put her down swaying to the background music.. Her back was in contact with his front..

Manik- I love you...!!

she looks into his eyes and found him staring at her waiting for the reply..

she changes her position.. now both were facing each other and her hands traveled around his neck.. 

while turning, she pecks on his cheek without being noticed by anyone..

He touches his cheek and smiles..

Manik- Sweetest peck ever..!!!

she blushes..

he turns her again with a quick jerk.. Now her one hand is on his back shoulder and the other one is securely in his other hand..

Manik- I said I love you..!!

Nandu- I heard you..

Manik- reply toh dho..

Nandu- Mr.Malhotra.. Dheere bolo.. what if tomorrow headlines may come out as " THE GREAT BUSINESS MAN 'MANIK MALHOTRA' PROPOSED HIS VERY OWN SECRETARY"..!!!

Manik- I'll be honored..!!

Nandu- Kuch bhi..!!

she blushes and he again pulls her closer crossing his hands around her back and touching each other foreheads..

Manik- I'm waiting..

Nandu- Me too...

he pecks on her forehead and finishes the dance receiving applause from the audience..

Nandu blushes.. while manik holds her by waist protectively and disperses from the prom..
