Avoid mistakes if any...

After telling this to the media Manik stood up from his place and thanking the press to be there he left as he would not be able to take any more nonsense of about anything. And who can go against The Manik Malhotra.. as he completed his statement and left the stage all others also stood up and left.

As they were in Raman's cabin so they were secured as it sound proof so no talks can go out. While they all settled in, but Manik was still not in any kind of mood. Nandini sat beside him and took his hand in his and started to roam her fingers on back of his palm. Maink closed his eyes taking her touch as a medicine and then leaned towards the back rest of the sofa. While Nandini kept on doing it when her attention was on Raj and Raman.

Manik was just thinking of the consequences of the blame that could be put on Nandini and his character. He today only decided that they would not go to any public places until they disclose their relationship..

After a while Malhotra's had to leave as they had a busy day ahead, so after bidding bye they left from there. While all got back to work. But before leaving Manik texted Nandini that they are going out tonight after 9. Nandini gave him a positive reply for the same. The day went in a blink as they had too much to cover up. While our Manan were engrossed in work so they did not talk much.

At around 9 Manik picked up Nandini from her home and then they went to an aloof place where they can sit.. Manik was actually too restless because of the happenings. So he just wanted to be with Nandini.

M: Nandini you are fine right, nothing happened na..

N: Manik why are you hyper from morning, we handled everything then what is bothering you so much.

Manik without replying her just came near her and took her in a hug. He tightened his hold on her.

N: Manik you are making me scared now, what is bothering you please tell na..

Manik broke the hug and then he looked at her but he was not able to say anything so Nandini kept both her hands on either of his cheeks and then made him look at her..

N: Manik you only always keep on telling that we should share everything with each other.. So now tell me what is the matter...

M: It's just that Nandini I was just too scared.. what if  in the press conference if I did not take things in right time then I cannot even imagine what would they say about your character and us. Thinking these things just make me nauseous.

N: Manik why are you getting so worked up for this matter.. See that fact is that now everything is under control right, the story that we made was very convincing. And if you want then I do not mind disclosing our relationship after engagement. If this matters to this extent that you keep on thinking about it then I do not mind about disclosing our relationship...

M: No No Nandini, I do not want to and on top of it disclosing us means risking your life, I am not ready for it at least not at present so let's keep it this way.. Secret...

N: ok baba..  As you feel it to be perfect... But for now please give me a beautiful smile... These frowns on your forehead does not suit you.. you look like an old man...

M: Is it so that I look old... ohhh and you want a smile na will give you... But before that give me a kiss.... he said pointing towards his cheeks....

Nandini makes a pouts and makes face as if thinking but when she saw Manik making a bad face, she leaned and kissed him tight getting an ear to ear smile from Manik.

While after some time Manik pulled Nandini close to him and then said

M: you know Nandini always seeing Mukti and Mishkat behaving like kids in front of me or asking me to pamper them made me sad sometimes.. as I also wanted someone to do all these things with me also. But after college i stopped excepting and entered business after that things like expectations started drifting away from me to God knows what far end.

I became more serious, started forgetting that I am still to young to be burdened with responsibilities but never for once I complained. In all these things I started forgetting the Manik that I was.. the guy who was fun loving and had a different attitude..

(All this while he was just looking nowhere and speaking while on the other hand Nandini was all time looking at his face to see what he wants to portray..)

But you know how much ever I thank you, I would not be able to say anything as having you in my life I just want to live the way I used to.. I started finding that Manik which I lost years ago.

Nandini kept her head on his chest while Manik securely held her and then after few seconds of silence she said.

N: you do not need to thank me as you yourself are putting efforts to find that Manik.. and Manik i would definitely try to help you in anything I can, but you need to promise me that you will discuss even the smallest of your worry so that we do not let the changed Manik to bring the old one.. and things be back to how they were...

Saying this she looked up to him and extended her hand as if asking for a promise.

Manik looked at her and then smilingly gave her his hand and said promise.. while Nandini held his that hand tightly and again kept her head over his chest..

M: Acha Nandini just tell me if  any special things you want for engagement..

N: no Manik.. I said na that for  me these girly things like I want this type of  wedding and this type of dress and all never mattered to me. But I know Bhai and Paa would not leave any stone unturned so you relax, they will handle it..   Because at times more than me they would be more excited for things..

M:  But there would be something that you would have given a thought.. Ok tell me would you join me for ring selection  I would love to get a ring of your choice rather than keeping it a secret.

Nandini just nodded her head as she did not want to make him more sad but suddenly she said

N: Manik we to won't be able to go  any mall or some store then how are we going to go to select..

M: Relax Nandini I would also not go, vo Mom has already called our years old jeweler only, so he would be coming home with all his best designs.

Nandini just nodded and said,

N: That is fine then we will keep it Malhotra Mansion only as I want to spend some time with Aunty also.

Manik and Nandini then left as it was late and Nandini was sleepy also, so they left after a while.

Soon after the eventful day, both ended the day on a happy note.

While next few days passed in jiffy for almost all of them, Malhotra and Murty men along with Nandini were dealing in office work, while the ladies were busy in collecting the things for shagun and the ceremony items.. Taking care of decorators and caterers dresses and beauticians and what not.. In all this Manan spent time via calls and messages as they both used to dead tired at the end of the day and so they would not spend time with each other.

Next Day the couple was given off as they would be leaving the other day for Farm house, so the families wanted them to stay together and spend some time as last few days have been hectic for all of them and in that they did not spend time with each other.
