Ok guys here is the first new year update...

When Manik entered the room he found it empty on the first instance. He called her out...

M: Nandini...

That is when he got a sound coming from the walk in closet...

N: Manik aap freshen up ho jaye jaldi..

M: Are but kyu, aur mom was saying that you wanted to talk about something. Bahar to aao...

N: Are Manik I am getting ready....

M: Ready kaha jaa rahi ho...

While speaking all this he to moved there only to see her in a beautiful saree with her hair open. He moved behind her and looked through the mirror...

M: To be precise where are you going looking so sexy...

N: Not only me, you are coming with me...

M: And where...

N: Well let it be a secret... Just you and me you see...

Manik rubbed his hands in excitement and said..

M: wow that seems like something interesting...  

He was about to hold her when Nandini said..

N: First go and freshen up and then only come close to me. 

M: Ajib ho.. Pehle surprise plan karti ho, aur phir khud hi dur bhagati ho...

N: Yes you may think what you want to, but go we are getting late...

M: Fine.. Hitler...

Manik moved to washroom and took a quick bath and got ready...

M: Done 

N: Haan bas let me get my clutch..

M: Are I am there na, not needed baba...

N: Nope, you will get to know about it later. 

M: You are behaving too mysterious today, whats up with you...

N: Are I am surprising you and here you are complaining me.. So bad man....

M: Are too much drama to handle...

N: whatever... Chaliye na abb... 

Both Manik and Nandini bid bye to others and moved. Nandini took the drivers seat while Manik was enjoying all the attention..  

M: Are abb to bata do where are we going, I mean I do not want to make a fool of myself...

N: Like seriously... Fine we are just going out for dinner nothing more..

M: You mean to say that my dear wife is taking me on a date and that is nothing... No no no.... It is too much... 

Both soon reached the restaurant and were having their dinner with Manik teasing Nandini over the whole date set up and all.. Spending a sweet moment in their life..

They both had their deserts and were enjoying their own sweet time.

On their way back, Manik was driving and Nandini leaned onto his shoulder holding his one arm...

N: Had a great time...

M: A lot... You know it feels like we need another holiday to be with each other... You know waise bhi Paris is pending... Wanna come...

N: College... (She said it in fear, as she did not want him to feel that her studies are a hindrance in their time.)

M: Do not worry, will plan something for in the long weekend as the workload in office is gonna increase... I might need to travel other countries for promotional activities as now the final batches are ready and the product is to be launched...

N: Means we both will have to stay at different places.

M: are few few days maybe... 

Nandini became a bit sad,  she shifted her eyes from his face and started staring at the road in front...

Manik saw the change in her behavior and so he parked the car on an empty road and then made Nandini look at him...

M: Nandini why this sudden change. 

Nandini pouted and made the most cutest mouth for her to be irresistible for Manik and so he had to peck her lips making her smile a bit..  

N: I do not want you to go away from me... I just want you to stay close to me.. Very close... 

M: Well my dear wifey, I too want the same but at the same time I want you to excel in your career and fulfill your dreams. I want you to touch the heights on your own will and not with the fact that you are a Murty Malhotra..

N: But.. 

M: Nandini we both know that how much important this project is for our fathers and this the baby that we created with our hard work.. Let us not mix into the fact that we are not sure of... I promise on every special occasion in our life we are gonna celebrate, celebrate it in our style be it coming here or somewhere else.

While they were talking there Nandini nodded in understanding but somewhere near them a group of 5 surrounded their car and smash the window of the car screen broke making both Manan flinch...

Nandini held Manik's arm more tight, and Manik saw a gun being pointed at both of them...

N: Manik...

M: I am here... 

Goon 1 : Are chamiya, hum bhi to hai yaha pe...

M: Kon ho tum log... 

Goon 2 : Are uss se pehle ye hassina ko dekh to lene de.. Indian Beauty on top of that she is top most families daughter wah kya combination hai...

M: Dare you lift your eyes on her you won't be able to see...

Goon 3 : Jo chiz dekhne layak ho, uske baad to aakhe bhi chali jaye maza aa jayega...

Nandini felt disgusted on herself. While Manik looked at her and then said.. 

M: Move to the back seat and do not move ok, I will handle them and yes... 

But before he can speak further the front screen of the car was broken and glass pieces pierced in both their skins, making both to hug each other...

Goons started to laugh while Manik had too much and he like an angry bull moved out from the car and in a second the one that was near him was hit and lying on the floor in the pool of blood... While one tried to touch Nandini who immediately took the hokey stick lying near Manik's seat and  hit him.. While she grabbed her phone and dialed police and just asked to track her location and also gave a hint.. 

While she tried Abhi but his phone was not reachable. She was getting too much hyper and then her phone was immediately grabbed and thrown while one man held her by her arm and put a gun on her forehead and then grabbed Manik's attention who immediately stopped and that was it, the other's grabbed her and started hitting him with force making him bleed and then he was finally hit on the head where he lost his consciousness.. While the men then hit him on his chest to confirm that he was not conscious..

Soon the goons left from there as they were given some signal after a phone call, so they picked the unconscious man and ran from there while Nandini moved to Manik  and took his head in her lap patting his cheeks asking him to get up... The tears that she had been holding for a long time came with all their might making her feel dizzy with the happenings...

She placed Manik's head on the ground and ran to get water. She sprinkled some water but nothing happened she was getting baffled as to what to do as she was not able to move him.. 

That is when  she saw police coming, she immediately asked for the help and informed that it was her that called.. The police also immediately recognized her and called an ambulance while they gave her water and then when the ambulance reached she took the phone of Manik and informed home and asked them to come to hospital.

Nandini was sitting in Ambulance holding his hand trying to gain some strength from him but nothing happened and this was something that she could not bear.. She wanted to breakdown in his arms but those arms were not opening for her.. The smile that made her day was not to be seen.. All this while the doctors were cleaning the wound and trying to see  what is not bringing his consciousness back.

Those giggles, those naughty eyes were nowhere to be found.. her heart was squeezing seeing him like that.. She was constantly sending prayers to just make him open his eyes, while it felt every second that there was no one answering her prayers...

When they reached the hospital she did not even notice as she was down her own memory lane.. Trying to remember his that happy face but all that came in front of her eyes was his face when he was being hit... 

They immediately took her to the emergency ward, while  on the other hand Nandini was asked to fill up the form and wait outside... She with a heavy heart took the pen and started filling the form. She was not able to write his name also.  Fresh tears started to make their way from their eyes, while inside the emergency room the doctors were trying to know if the internal injuries are causing this or not as Manik was not gaining consciousness.

Nandini was disturbed by the police  who asked..

P: Mrs Malhotra we are sorry but we need information?

Nandini nodded in yes and then said what happened...

P: Well then it has to be a local gang as this is almost 5 case reported in two days, can you describe them...

Nandini gave a rough description to them when All the Malhotra's were there and Neyonika immediately took Nandini in her embrace who started crying unconscionable, Neyonika let her be for a while but seeing her loosing her grip on her she immediately came out of her hold and made her sit there and asked Mishkat to bring some water and something for her... 

Neyonika at that moment noticed that she had many cuts here and there, but first she made her drink water and some juice with great difficulties as she was not stopping... Neyonika then asked a nurse to dress Nandini,  she did not want to move till she got to know about Manik. 

But Neyonika gave her a swear of Manik and made her do her dressing... Soon she was there with all, while with great difficulty she got a grip on herself and was waiting for the doctors who inside came to a conclusion that it was just due to the effect of hit and nothing alse but his rib cage and arm had a fracture..

The same was told to the all who sighed that nothing major had happened... While Mishkat asked all to move home he will be with Manik as he was under sedatives and he won't be up till morning...

N: I am not going anywhere...

Ney: beta you are....

N: No mom, I wont be able to please...

Ney: Fine I am sending a change for you and  Mishkat too will be here.

N: Thanks... 

Neyonika kissed her forehead and then moved from there...

Nandini and Mishkat both were in the Vip room.. Nandini was just staring at Manik while tears were floating in her eyes.. Mishkat at that time came to room after seeing off all and sat beside Nandini...

Mi: Bhai is fine bhabhi...

N: But what if...

Mi: Bhabhi, bhai has a duty to save you, he did what he had vowed during marriage.. Now it your duty to be happy and make him recover because this guilt of yours won't help him to recover as he would worry more on how to help you rather than seeing that he needs to recover. 

Nandini closed her eyes and few drops of tears fell down from her eyes while Mishkat wiped those and asked her to have her medicines by the time the driver came with her clothes.. She changed in them and sat beside Manik on stool with shivering hand trying to touch his fractured hand..

Mi: Bhabhi, you need rest.. Thodi der ke liye so jaye.

N: Nahi... I am fine...

Mi: You sleep for a while and later if there is something then I will let you know...

Nandini finally nodded in a yes..

Nandini laid down on sofa, while Mishkat put the blanket on her.. 

Mishkat too moved to the single sofa and just sat there...

It was around 5 in the morning when Nandini's eyes opened because the happenings of the day came a dream to haunt. 

And she woke up with jerk...

While she took a bit of time to process her surroundings and then her eyes moved to Manik who was there lying but his eyelids were moving...

Nandini saw that Mishkat was sleeping so without disturbing him she saw that Manik was almost about to wake up so she called the nurse, who checked Manik and went to call the doctor...

Doctor requested them to move out. Mishkat was also up due to the sounds around..

Well Manik hospialised....
