Murthy Mansion

The Murthys bid bye to the Malhotra family. Vikram along with Nandini and Rishabh were sitting in the hall while Swarna was in the kitchen. Soon Swarna came after instructing the butlers and now the Murthy family was in the hall of the Murthy Mansion to discuss their individual opinion about the Malhotra family.

Swarna - I'll get snacks for us and then, we can have a discussion

Vikram - Why bother?  We just had snacks with the Malhotras. Kids, do you need something to eat?

Rishabh - I don't need anything. I had snacks with Manik Bhai. Di, do you need anything?

Nandini was lost in her thoughts thinking about how her life can take a 360-degree turn with just a call that can come anytime. Though she liked the Malhotra family, there is an unsettling fear in her. The fear of not being good enough. The fear of acceptance in an unknown family. The fear of being rejected. The fear of protecting the respect that her parents hold in society. The fear of maintaining the reputation of two families that are taken as prestigious in the society.

If the alliance is not accepted by Malhotras then, her father will find another good prospect for her, and that family will also be a reputed family in the society. Unlike her choice, her father will find someone who deserves her and is the best for her. She has gotten betrayed once and now she doesn't want her family to suffer because of the foolish and immature decisions she has taken in past. 

She came out of her thoughts when Vikram shook her along with calling her

Vikram - Nandini

Nandini - Haan? (Yes?)

Vikram - Kaha khoi hui ho? Kuch baat hai kya bete? (Where are you lost? Is something bothering you?)

Nandini - Umm... Papa... Wo...

Swarna sit beside her and took Nandini's hands in between her own and asked

Swarna - Kuch baat krni hai tumnhe humse? (Do you want to share something with us?)

Nandini - Haa pr pehle mujhe janna hai ki aap sab ko Malhotras kaise lage? (Yes but first I want to know your views about the Malhotras)

Swarna - Thik hai. Vikram, aap shuru kriye (Alright. Vikram, why don't you start?)

Vikram - I like the family. They've got a high reputation in the society but they like to stay ground to earth. Their family business comes in the topmost businesses in the Internal market. And it was Manik who took it to an international level.

Swarna - That's great. I also liked them as being such a high-class family, they respect their traditions and culture. They didn't let their richness affect their roots. I feel it would be our good luck if both the kids agree to this alliance.

Rishabh - I also liked Bhai's company. He's so cool to be around and I want to learn so many things from him. You know being with him I felt I was with MM

Vikram - MM? Who's this MM?

Rishabh - Dad, MM is a singer. He doesn't come in front of anyone but you should listen to his songs. They're so soulful that you would want to listen to them all day. Somewhere, I got a feeling that I was with him when I was with Manik Bhai. I mean he has so many similarities with Manik Bhai. As much as I have heard from the industry, the personality of both these people is very similar to each other.

Vikram - Interesting. Nandu, what do you think?

Nandini - Even I liked the family. They're everything any girl would want in her in-laws. Kind, Caring, Loving, and Understanding. As far as I know, Nyonika aunty started her jewellery designing studio M Jewellers after she got married to Raj uncle. She has built it with her own hard work and without taking a single penny from her family. Today, she has made it one of the best jewellery brands. I feel they would understand me and my love for working.

Vikram - Definitely. Nyonika bhabhi was encouraged by her father-in-law to pursue her career in jewellery designing. He even offered her financial help but bhabhi denied it. She wanted to be someone on her own rather than taking help from any of her family. She wanted her firm to be made solely out of her work.

Swarna - Wow! That's great. Nandini won't ever have to struggle between her house and her work as these people value each other's work.

Vikram - So, what do you think, Nandini? What is your answer?

Swarna - Vikram, at least give some time to her

Nandini - No mumma. I'm pretty clear about what I want. It's a Yes from my side.

Rishabh - Wow! My di is gonna get married. I'm so excited. I hope Manik Bhai also says yes.

Vikram - I hope so too.

Although Nandini knew Manik's answer, she chose not to reveal it to her family. The waiting part may seem long but it teaches you to have patience in situations where you have got no choice but to accept life as it unfolds.

Swarna - Vikram, why don't you tell Raj bhaisaab about Nandini's decision?

Vikram - Would it be a good idea?

Swarna - Yeah. When everyone has liked Manik and his family then, why wait? It's not mandatory for the guy's family to approach the girl's family first for an answer. It's 21 century and we need to change the way some things were decided by our ancestors.

Rishabh - Wow mom, you are so cool.

Vikram - That she is! Always gives us surprises with her ways.

Swarna - Enough of praising me. Now, stop with this buttering and call Malhotras

Phone conversation

Vikram - Hello

Raj - Aree waah! Bada pyaar aaraha tujhe mujh pr

Vikram - Jaa jaa. Tujhe kaun yaad krega. Maine to mere hone wale damad se baat krne ke liye phone kiya hai

Raj - Kya yaar tu. Saara mood kharab kr diya. Tere paas Manik ka number hai. Direct call krle usse agar tujhe ussi se baat krni hai to

Vikram - Aree pr tu kara na

Raj - Chal hatt. Bye.

Phone conversation ends

Vikram laughed his lungs out as the call got disconnected. 

Nandini - What happened papa? Why are you laughing so much?

Vikram shared the details of the conversation that he had with Raj and everyone's face was adorned with a smile. After spending some time, they all moved towards their rooms to let sleep consume them.

Malhotra Mansion

After cutting Vikram's call, Raj was busy cursing him. Nyonika entered the hall and was surprised to see her ever-romantic husband cursing someone.

Nyonika - What happened, Raj?

Raj - Vikram called me.

Nyonika - And?

Raj - He called me just because he wanted to talk to Manik

Nyonika - ANd what is wrong with that?

Raj - He already has his number then, what was the need for him to call me?

Nyonika - Why don't you recall his exact words? Maybe you'll get an answer because he is a person who loves to play with words.

Raj - He said he wanted to talk to his future son-in-law. (Realising) That means Nandini said yes to this proposal. Woahh!

Nyonika - What are you waiting for? C'mon, call Vikram bhaisaab. He must be waiting for your call. He called to share such amazing news and you are sitting here sulking like a child.

Raj - I won't call him now. I'll do it tomorrow. Let me rejoice in this happy news

Raj grabbed Nyonika by her waist and spoke nuzzling her neck. Nyonika arched her neck and spoke

Nyonika - Raj! Call him now

Raj paid no heed to her and continued dropping kisses on her neck. Having no option, Nyonika pushed him and spoke

Nyonika - Call Murthys. 

Raj was about to protest but, a glare from Nyonika shut him up

Nyonika - NOW!

Raj - Why are you so hell bent on calling them now?

Nyonika - Because your call would be The Most Awaited Call for Murthys

Raj - I understand your point, baby. But look at the time. It's past 12 now. How about I call them the firrst thing in the morning

Nyonika - You do have a point here.

Raj - Now that you've agreed, let me spend some lovely time with my beautiful wife.

Raj picked her up in his arms and started moving towards their room. Nyonika smilingly encircled her arms aound his neck and let herself loose in his love.
