A lady in her 20s is seen entering the main office building. She was directly going inside the office when the receptionist stopped her.

Receptionist: Excuse me, ma'am

Lady: Yes?

Receptionist: I apologize for disturbing you ma'am but do you have an appointment with any of the officers over here?

Lady: I apologize for being a muddlehead for a while. I want to meet Mr. Manik Malhotra. Is he available for a quick meeting?

Receptionist: I'm sorry to say this ma'am but Mr. Malhotra has asked us to keep his evening clear today. But if you tell me your name then, I can ask him if he's available for a meeting.

Lady: Thank you for your kindness. My name is Nandini Murthy.

Receptionist: Please make yourself comfortable in the waiting area while I connect with Mr. Malhotra

Nandini made her way to the waiting area while the receptionist contacted Manik to ask him about his availability.

Manik's Cabin; Malhotra Industries

Manik was going through some important files while waiting for Nandini. He was so immersed in his documents that he didn't hear the ringing of his office phone.

He snapped out of his daze when he heard knocks on his cabin door.

Manik: Come in

Seeing the receptionist entering his cabin, Manik was confused. She is not someone who comes to his office.

Receptionist: I'm sorry to disturb you sir but Nandini Murthy is here to see you. What shall I do now?

Manik was surprised when he got to know about Nandini visiting his office but then he recalled his conversation with Rishabh.

Manik: Did you say, Nandini Murthy?

Receptionist: Yes sir.

Manik: Take me to her.

The receptionist was extremely surprised when she heard this as Manik has never done something like this before.

In a few minutes, Manik reached the waiting area. Seeing Manik, the entire office became alert.

Observing the changes, Nandini was surprised and on looking around, she found her to-be husband to be the reason for it.

She stood up seeing him and gave him her bright smile, earning a smile from her man.

Nandini: Hi Manik

Manik: Hey, what a pleasant surprise!

Nandini: I wanted to discuss something with you.

Manik: Sure, do you want to do it here or go for a coffee?

Nandini: Either is fine with me.

Manik: Susan, call Lisa and let her know I won't be available for the rest of the day. Ask her to reschedule my meetings and inform Dad about the same.

The nearby employees who heard him were shocked as they've never seen Manik talking so softly. Though he is kind and polite when talking to everyone, there was a different softness in his voice today.

Manik: Shall we?

Nandini: Sure.

Parking lot, Malhotra Industries

Manik and Nandini reached the parking lot and were quite confused on whose car they should take.

Manik: Can we take my car if you don't mind? I'll drop you wherever you need to go later.

Nandini: Don't worry about it. We'll figure it out.

Manik smiled at her answer and opened the passenger door for her like a gentleman that he is.

Nandini (smiling): Chivalry is not dead, haa?

Manik: Jab company itni haseen ho to chivalry apne aap aa jaati hai

(When the company is this beautiful, chivalry comes automatically)

Manik took them to a small cafe near to his office. The place was small but had a peaceful vibe to it. The seating arrangements were made such that everyone who comes there, gets their privacy.

Nandini: I never knew Mumbai has got a place like this.

Manik: There are some hidden gems in the city. You just need to explore them.

Nandini smiled when Manik gestured her to place the order.

Nandini: Can I have a hot chocolate with semi-skimmed milk and whipped cream, please?

Server: Sure. Would you like chocolate sprinkled on the top as well?

Nandini: Yes, please.

Manik: I'll have a shaken espresso hazelnut with whole milk, 2 sugars, and a bit of ice, please?

Server: Sure. I'll be right back with your order.

Manik: Thank you.

In a few minutes, their order came. Both of them were quite hesitant as to where should they start. Nandini took the initiative.

Nandini: I'm sorry if I've disturbed you in the middle of a work day.

Manik: Don't worry about that. If I can't make time for my family then, what's the use of having this business and prestige? By the way, is Champ okay?

Nandini: Your champ is absolutely alright. Nothing can happen to you now that he's got you to come to.

Manik smiled and they had a beautiful eye lock with Nandini placing her trust on him and him feeling her trust on him.

Nandini: I need to talk about something and that's the only reason I asked Rishu to check whether you're in the office or not.

Manik: I'm all ears. I hope everything's okay.

Nandini: Everything's okay. I just need to confess something about my past to you.

Manik: Hold on. Your past doesn't affect me as long as it stays there. What I care about is your happiness, your peace, our families happiness.

Nandini's heart got overwhelmed hearing him. It's hard to find a guy who can say such things in just the second meeting and she's lucky enough to have found him.

Nandini: Still I want to tell you about it. I haven't told anyone about it yet.

Manik: Okay.

Manik didn't object again as he could see she's determined to tell him and it was getting difficult for her to keep everything hidden inside her. He's someone who does that a lot and he knows how suffocating it can be. He didn't want her to feel it. He wanted to become her solace, her shoulder to lean on, her protector.

On the other hand, in Murthy Mansion, the atmosphere is lively as everyone is busy making everything perfect. Afterall, their princess's in-laws are officially coming for dinner. Nandini didn't know about this as she went out in the evening to meet her to-be husband without informing anyone except Rishabh.
