P L A Y F O R M E.
Bryce sighed deeply as he stepped over the dead body and grabbed the backpack that had been lying against the wall since he first reached the private camp. Sweat dropped from his forehead and he took the time to clear it with his long sleeved gray shirt before fixing his dark blue baseball cap right again. He gave a clench to his shaking fist as he calmed himself down before throwing the bag over his shoulder and stepping out into the main hall. It was silent and the only smell that lingered was death.
Before stepping out of the door he tied a white cloth to one of the men's body then he left. The sound of birds chirping echoed through his ears but he did not stop as he approached a green tent that had blooded hand prints around it. There was no telling how long it had been out for there were stuff scattered about and the fire pit seemed to be dense. That didn't stop him from looking around for anything he could use, no matter what item it was.
Bryce what're you doing?
He flinched at that voice. The person it belongs too is long gone from his life, killed by the men he swore to finish off. "Surviving Ohm." His voice was hoarse and he stood still for only a moment. It wasn't until after the long pause he moved to stand upright and face the figure who seemed to be death himself.
You really gonna go through with it?
"I swore to you revenge and that's what you'll get.." Bryce sated flatly. "Doesn't matter if I die in the process or not."
Bryce...they're coming! Hide!
The blonde didn't respond as his eyes jerked over to the men who held their weapons high. He knew they'd be here sooner or later to scope out all the racket he had made but not this soon. His fingers brushed against the green fabric as he pulled himself out of the tent to climb the nearest tree he could find. Once he was hidden he calmed his breathing and watched as the men kicked open the door. There were only five that he seen but the weapons they carried could kill him in a heartbeat.
"Goddamn it!" One yelled loudly, his hand shooting to his nose to cover the smell. "It's a blood bath!"
"Move!" Another yelled out as he shoved the other man back behind him. He aimed his gun into the house and took steady steps into the house. "Everyone follow behind me now!" His order was heard by the others and they did as told.
Once he seen everyone disappear into the house he jumped from the tree and began to slowly and carefully make his way down the road until he came to the metal parting line. He gripped it and pulled himself over ever so slightly, not even daring to make a sound as he did so. The wind howled and the trees seemed to sway in sync with its lazy groans.
He reached his destination and began to follow the river line down to a small rocky area where a cave was. "Home sweet home." Bryce walked into the cave and threw his bag down by the fireplace before sighing loudly to himself. Never once had he felt so alone in his entire life, not until he lost the man he loved. It was blue, what had happened, but he was sure it was the man who tried to shoot them both.
Yet he was somehow alive.
The sound of silence surrounded him once more as he walked back outside. Sunlight seemed to smack him in the face as a greeting.
Bryce, you know you can't do this..
"I can and I will." The blonde growled, eyes narrowing at the water line. "This is the only way I can get even with the world Ryan."
But it wasn't them...
"Ryan.."
Yes Bryce?
"I love you.."
