Chapter four: BTS

❀~~~~❀~~~~❀~~~~❀

Jungkook felt like smiling. He didn't even try to hide it. His face showed how much happy he was at that moment. He saw the living art that had filled his mind during the whole art class.

Jungkook didn't hesitate, or even thought twice, before sitting down next to the quiet boy. He glanced up at him, but his gaze remained down at his lap. The classroom was different from the others. The chairs were placed in a half circle. Taehyung was sitting alone at the edge whilst the students that were already there sitting on the other side. Jungkook couldn't help but to glance at the others students, who were acting rude in his eyes.

"Is he crazy? Why did he sit beside that thing?" That thing? Jungkook wanted to stand up and yell at them for having such bad manners, but he held back his anger. He didn't want to look like he was listening to them, or even cared for that matter. Jungkook didn't know why he became so sensitive when he heard them whisper. He didn't even know the kid. But he still wanted to talk to him, protect him, and even become friends. Jungkook wondered what his voice would be like, as he noticed he hadn't heard it yet.

"Hi," Jungkook said after he realised it had become awkward. Poor Taehyung must've felt uncomfortable when he just suddenly sat beside him without saying a word. Jungkook felt embarrassed when he thought back at his actions, but he still waited for a response. "Didn't think we'd have Music class together as well." He giggled embarrassed when the shy boy wasn't replying to him at all. "I'm sorry, but am I making you uncomfortable?" He still didn't meet Jungkook's eyes and stared downwards, resting his hands on both of his legs. The more Jungkook talked to him, the more he clenched his fists together on his lap. Jungkook noticed, and he stared at him worriedly.

Suddenly, Taehyung had raised his head and their eyes met. Jungkook wanted to stare in his eyes for as long as he could, but Taehyung didn't stare for a long time. It was barely even five seconds. Jungkook wanted to look in his eyes more. He wanted to just stare for as long as he pleased, but he couldn't do that without being caught by the boy and the students that were secretly watching. Jungkook knew what Taehyung wanted: he wanted him to stop speaking to him.

Jungkook moved a bit on the chair to not sit towards the boy he was admiring, and kept his gaze forward. He was surprised when an old man with glasses walked in with a few books in his hands and threw them on the front desk. It made some of the students, including Jungkook, to literally jump from their chairs.

"Where are the others?" he practically yelled and made the students shiver.

"I-I think they're a bit late," a girl stuttered, afraid to get yelled at. The man glared, and then sighed.

"They'll get their punishments," the teacher mumbled to himself. Jungkook mentally noted that he'd never dare to come late in his class. He pulled out some papers that was in one of his books and handed it to the students that were in the classroom. "Fill them out and give it to me when you're done." Everyone remained quiet to not piss the teacher off even more. Jungkook was as quiet as he could get and read the questions.

'What's your name? Can you play any instruments? If so, what?' Jungkook wrote down his name and 'Currently learning piano'. He glanced at Taehyung's paper out of curiousness and smiled. He knew how to play piano. Jungkook's mind was suddenly filled with his imaginations of Taehyung and him, playing piano together. As his mind went wild, he noticed the teacher glaring at him.

Jungkook swallowed nervously and continued to fill it out. He was one of the first to be done, but he waited until Taehyung was done as well. The silent male stood up and gave it to the teacher with Jungkook tailing right behind. He noticed the nervousness on Taehyung's face, and he wanted to do something about it. He figured his reason for not talking to him was because of their surroundings. He wanted to be able to talk to Taehyung without having many people around them.

"You can play the piano?" Jungkook whispered after they both sat back on their chairs again. The only response he got was a nod, but he was still pleased. At least he answered. "Do you think you could help me? I'm currently learning it myself, but I'm not that good yet." Jungkook had wanted to ask him ever since he saw on the boy's paper he could play the instrument. He felt shy for asking, but what did he had to lose? He was expecting to be turned down anyways.

Taehyung looked Jungkook in the eyes and opened up his mouth to reply, but he stopped himself when the door was slammed open and the rest of the remaining students entered. Some of them stopped and stared in the direction of the two boys, but they quickly snapped out of it and sat down on the empty chairs. Jungkook mentally cursed at them for ruing their moment. He thought he could finally hear the pretty boy's voice, but they ruined it.

Jungkook's stomach growled and he drooled at the sight and thought of food. He was stumbling carelessly around in the cafeteria to look for food to buy. He bought a sandwich with turkey, and water. He didn't spot any familiar faces and just sat down on an empty table and started eating the food.

"Kookie!" sang a familiar voice that made Jungkook almost choke on the food surprised. "What's with the reaction?" he sulked and sat down beside Jungkook. The familiar boy was the one and only Jimin. He was smirking and then other boys sat down. Jungkook recognised Jimin, Hoseok and Namjoon, but not the two other males.

"Jungkook, this is Kim Seokjin, or what he prefers, Jin. The guy sitting beside him is Min Yoongi. Guys, this is Jeon Jungkook, our new member," Hoseok introduced them. Jungkook bowed his head respectfully towards the elders, and they returned with a smile. Seokjin had similar hair to Jungkook, only his hair was dark red, and it was obvious he was colouring it. Jungkook thought it suited him well with his charming smile though. Yoongi had dark brown hair, almost black, but it was noticeable enough to be brown. He looked tired, but he was still staring at Jungkook.

"So you're Jungkook," Seokjin smirked and studied him. Jungkook didn't know how to react and just slowly nodded, trying not to hold the eye contact for too long. He was still confused why they suddenly wanted him into the group.

"Can I ask you something?" Jungkook finally said his first words courageously and they all nodded. "Why do you want me in your group?" They hesitated a bit, but Hoseok was the one who answered.

"Because we wanted to befriend you. We've heard many rumours about you, and we didn't want you to end up with the wrong people." Jungkook still wasn't sure if the right people for him were they. He still didn't have anything to lose, and just nodded his head, accepting their friendship.

"How was your day honey?" Jungkook's mother attacked him with hugs and kisses as soon as he returned home after the school day had come to an end. He felt exhausted, and his mother's affection was rather draining away his remaining energy from the day.

"It was great. I loved the art and music class," he replied, trying to avoid the wet kisses on his forehead and cheeks.

"Tell me, did you meet some people?" Jungkook didn't know what to reply. Could he call them friends? Should he say yes to not worry his mother?

"Some guys invited me into a own group they have formed together," Jungkook said honestly and his mother's face brightened up.

"Really? You made friends already?" she yelled happily whilst shaking her son excitedly. He hesitantly nodded his head whilst glancing down at the floor.

"Yeah, I guess so." His thoughts went back to Taehyung, the living art, and how much he wanted to be friends with him. When he met everyone in BTS, he was hoping that Taehyung would be there as well, but that'd be hoping for too much. When he realised he wasn't, he felt disappointed, but he was also excited. It made him think of more reasons to talk to him. He didn't want to just ignore him like how he had noticed what other students were doing. On Tuesday, the next day, they had PE and Jungkook knew Taehyung would be there as well.
