1 year later

It was the middle of the night and
Diavolo was laying in bed  wide awake as Mammon was laying next to him fast asleep.

Diavolo couldn't sleep he kept having nightmares about everything and was being haunted by the choices he made.

Especially how he was going to take his own life because he thought it was better if he wasn't around. Thought it was the best thing he could do for everyone.

He was so close to leaving yet something stop him

Before he could. He felt like someone put their arms around him like hugging him from behind and was talking him out of it.

He didn't recognize the voice but it felt soothing and calm and made him realized what he was doing.

Yet it couldn't keep him from wanting to leave.

And because of his choices he nearly got his daughter and Luke killed.

The guilt weight heavily on him. All he wanted was to be the best he could be for his family but he felt like he kept messing up.

He felt like he didn't deserve them. They were so kind and so forgiving and saw so much good in him. They always stood by him.

And despite everything being good between them. He couldn't help but feel horrible every day.

He didn't feel like he was good enough for them. He still had thoughts about leaving.

He couldn't forgive himself for what he put Mammon and for nearly killing his own daughter he felt like a horrible king husband and father.

Anyway as he was thinking about this all this. Mammon suddenly woke up and asked looking over at him.

Mammon : are you alright?"

Diavolo then turned over facing him and said smiling.

Diavolo : I'm fine just a bit reckless"

Mammon : you don't have to lie"

Diavolo : I'm not? I just got a lot on my mind? I promise I'm alright"

Diavolo then kissed Mammon and said.

Diavolo : I love you"

Mammon : I love you To"

Mammon knew Diavolo wasn't himself lately and knew he was lying about it and was really worried about him.

And despite not knowing what was going on with him he was going to be there for him as much as he could and try and help him.

The next day in the celestial realm Luke was in his room reading a book about magic demonic magic since he had to learn how to control his new arm still.

He did it alone because he was worried what the other angels would think about him doing this.

And he was really stress out because for awhile Michael has been trying to find who stole from the garden and he was scared what would happen if he got caught.

But he never regretted saving Kammon.

Anyway as he was in his room he immediately stood up as Michael walked in.

Luke : Michael? Wha-!?

Michael: I know what you did Luke "

Luke : I....I don't care if it was against the rules! I stand by what I did!"

Michael : breaking the rules like Lillth to save a human?"

Luke : she's my best friend! I couldn't let her die!"

Michael : you had potential Luke..."

Luke :.....I accept my punishment...."

Michael : ....."

In the morning in Devildom as Lucifer woke up and as he sat up he did his normal routine getting up and ready and getting into his wheelchair.

Still there was no progress in him walking no matter what was tried he still couldn't.

His wings also never showed up anymore when in his demon form because last time they did.

They were so broken and not healing that they just fell off which was another hard thing to go through and brought up bad memories.

Plus he was in constant back pain especially with the scar's that
Wouldn't heal.

Despite his situation he never complained or said anything about how he was doing. He kept everything to himself.

And everyone knew he probably did because he didn't want to seem weak.

Anyway as he was fixing up his shirt he suddenly stop and hunch over in pain again as the pain was starting up.

It would get bad every so often
And he would try and just sit through it and wait for it to be over.

But when this happened the bad memories would fooled his head and it was like this neverending torture.

He felt like he was going to pass out until suddenly Barbatos sat down next to him and took a look at his back out his hands on his back that started glowing and he felt instant relief.

Barbatos : you are very stubborn Lucifer. I told you. if you are in pain I can help you

My magic can provide a bit of relief for you for when it gets like this. Can't imagine how this must feel for you"

Lucifer: I....I can handle it....."

Barbatos  : can you? It's alright to ask for help especially from me that's why I'm here"

Lucifer: .....why bother if it never goes away....I can handle a moment of agony"

Barbatos : I help because I know the pain it puts you in a terrible mind set.

And I know your going through things you refuse to talk about.

What I do isn't just for pain but also just provides ease and comfort.

Which is something I think you need"

Lucifer : it's....it's nothing...."

Barbatos : it's alright I'm here whenever you want to talk."

Lucifer just didn't want to mention anything he just wanted to ignore it and get through everything. Even though he knew he should just accept the help and talk about it.

Barbatos : ....put your head down on my lap I want to try something"

Lucifer : what?"

Barbatos : just trust me let me do this must for you"

Lucifer : I....fine...."

Lucifer didn't know what Barbatos was planning to do but trusted him.

So he lay on his side putting the side of his head down on his lap facing away from him.

He felt embarrassed about this but then Barbatos put one of his hands on Lucifer's head while the other remained on his back.

And suddenly Lucifer felt more at peace whatever Barbatos was doing was helping. Didn't make this any less embarrassing though.

Barbatos : I can ease one's pain and emotion calm their mind and body to provide comfort. It's not permanent but does last longer."

Lucifer : ....I feel like I'm being treated like a child...."

Barbatos just smiled and said looking at him.

Barbatos : well I did use to do this for Diavolo when he was a child? He was going through a lot at the time.

Lucifer : ......"

Barbatos : just relax and clear your mind everything will be alright"

Lucifer : what about you? You haven't been good since he arrived"

Barbatos : ..... I'm okay...."

Lucifer : think about yourself to I know you haven't been good. Because of him"

Barbatos : I.... It's just....it was difficult with him in the past and I still think he's just bringing trouble"

Lucifer : I agree."

Barbatos : why are you so quick to agree with me?"

Lucifer: I saw at the wedding you seem scared of him and if he can strike fear into you. Then he's a problem"

Barbatos : .....thank you for worrying...."

Lucifer: could I know why?"

Barbatos : I..... maybe another time. After we get you outside you been in here for a while. You need fresh air "

Lucifer : it a little while...."

Barbatos : take all the time you need"

Later Lucifer sat up and Barbatos started to help him out on his shirt and button it up.

Lucifer : I can do this myself...."

Barbatos : I'm here I might as well help you. And you were struggling for a minute "

Lucifer : you are trying to embarrass me....."

Barbatos just smiled at Lucifer Lucifer's face was red from embarrassment but continue to help him.

Lucifer : you did you rush out of the castle this morning?"

Barbatos : I'm sorry if I seem a little ruffled I had a run it with a rat....such a shame I just ironed theses"

Lucifer : I pray nobody walks in r-

Suddenly Satan walked in and was about to say something but stop as he saw them looking suspicious.

Lucifer : Satan it's not what it-

Satan : lock the damn door! Geez! Even Asmo knows this!"

After this Satan walked away looked traumatized and Lucifer was now getting a headache.

Lucifer : he's going to tell everyone....."

Barbatos : tell everyone what?"

Lucifer : ...... nothing......"
