Chase's parents had agreed to take Charli to her doctor's appointment, they left out the detail of what it was about.

"Are you sure you don't want us to come with you, honey?" Tamara Hudson asked, "I could come with you."

"No, no," Charli shook her head, "I'll be fine with just Chase."

"You sure?" Cole, Mr Hudson, questioned, "Your parents are okay with this right? You have them a call this morning?"

"Yes, they're fine with me staying over," Charli lied, "Thanks for taking me."

"It's no problem," Tamara said, "Be safe."

"We will," Chase told her as they waved to them as they drove away. He turned to Charli, "Are you ready?"

"Is it okay if I hold your hand?" Charli asked, embarrassed as her cheeks tinted red.

"Yes."

She weaves her fingers into his gently, "Okay, now I'm ready."
