Are your #WIPworld #Celebrations religious, political, historical, or secular?
Do you have a mix of many kinds of #Celebrations?

#wipchat A1 During the MC Annie's time on Earth she celebrate religious holidays like Christmas, Hanukkah and Ramadan with her very diverse extended family. Once she goes to Eloh, the only holidays the Eloh Kingdom has are the Queen Mother's birthday and the anniversary of the King's ascension.

How do they celebrate births, observe birthdays, recognize milestones, hold weddings,
acknowledge divorces, or memorialize deaths in your #WIPworld?

#wipchat A2 The Eloh acknowledge 'Inkings' (marriage) but they have almost nothing in the way of family celebrations except when a daughter is born. Milestones are ignored as part of their rank and duty. When MC Annie has a birth anniversary party for Tal's youngest brother, the household is shocked.

Describe the biggest or most significant #Celebrations in your #WIPworld?
Did you have a wedding, a funeral, a holiday, just a party?

#wipchat A3 The most significant celebration in Ghost With Ink is The Queen Mother's birthday but MC Annie is almost killed by those seeking to overthrow the King. To Families, it is the birth of a daughter and her first Lottery season.

How do #Traditions dictate behavior in the society of your #WIPworld?
Do #Traditions influence the actions of your MCs and SCs and their roles?
Do they follow or resist #Traditions?

#wipchat A4-1 Annie, being raised on Earth, wants to break many of the #Traditions, she sees them as oppressive but Tal feels trapped by his tier and duty. It leads to a lot of conflict between them and he often defaults to the rigid Status Quo while she rebels more dramatically.

#wipchat A4-2 #Traditions control everything in the Eloh Kingdom. Their roles are dictated at puberty and they to deviate from the path, or resist would be to dishonor their House (family). Tal is tired of war after 14 years but feels its his duty and believes he can't quit.

#WIPChat Question 5

Are there social #Habits that you wrote into your #WIPworld
specifically to show it differs from your IRL?

#wipchat A5 All females are of the top ten tiers because there are so few of them. Lower tiered Males and cloned slaves are not even allowed to look at or speak to a female without permission. Females may kill males with impunity during the Lottery and also murder their own male offspring as infants.

Did you create any #Oddities (odd/weird/unusual acts or behaviors)
or faux pas that a character would be ostracized for doing in your #WIPworld?

#wipchat A6 MC Annie has her #Oddities After the traumatic murders of her parents and her own torture by terrorists, she has sets of rules she lives by, but all of those go out the window with the invasion and then her abduction. On Eloh, her biggest faux pas is her humanity, she treats the cloned 'pets' like living beings of value instead of disposable.

Share the craziest or strangest (ie. not like your IRL) thing about your #WIPworld, or about a trait of  a MC or SC. #oddities

#wipchat A7 the Cats... On Earth, they always find Annie and they love the 'pets'. On Eloh, the felines are all feral but they still like Annie and the clones, almost everyone else the felines bite or scratch.

Also, everything in the Eloh kingdom has a purpose, from the animals to the plants to the pets/people everything has its purpose or is 'cleansed' except for one roach-like rodent species and vipers (desert and water). They are the reason Felines are allowed to live.
