The next day I woke up to be greeted with Sloth on the floor, Gluttony making food appear out of thin air and Joshua driving. Joshua told us that we are ahead of schedule as Lust drove the whole night. We decided to stop driving for sometime.

Joshua found a nice place where RV's park and set up camp. It was around 3 o'clock so I decided to go for a walk. Joshua was getting somethings in check with the owner of the joint. Pride was flirting with a girl or maybe he was just telling her how handsome he was. Sloth was sleeping on Envy's shoulder, while Greed and Gluttony seemed to be betting on souls. Wrath was with Joshua, helping him with the route for the next drive.

I informed Greed and Gluttony that I was going for a walk. I began to make my way down the hill when a man began to walk next to me.

"Hey, beautiful," he slurred.

I remained quiet. "Playing hard to get, hmm?" He asked.

"Well, spending a night with me definitely won't be silent," he purred.

What is this pervert doing?

"Hey, don't be shy b-" his hand snaked to my arm to stop me from walking away.

"Let me go" I yelled.

His grip tighten and his glare turned dark. "Stop fi-"

"She said to let her go, so leave her," someone said from behind me.

Lust emurged from the shadows, his eyes like a raging ocean.

"Oh yeah says who?" He turned around to be face to face with Lust who almost looked like Wrath with all that rage burning in his eyes.

"Says me, now leave or I'll hurt you and trust me I won't feel sorry," Lust threatened.

"Oh you would hurt me? I'd like to see you try," he retorted.

"I'd break all your bones and mail them to your mother and I wouldn't even bat an eyelash," Lust threatened, approaching him.

"Just leave it," I said.

"Yeah listen to the sexy bit-" he was interrupted with Lust's fist colliding with his face. The man squirmed on the floor, obviously shocked at the sudden impact. Lust punched him once more just incase he wasn't in enough pain already.

"It's not broken. Just a hairline fracture. Painful but not excruciating. Ice it and keep it wrapped," Lust explained, while slipping his hand in mine. He dragged me away, our hands still interwoven.

We walked in silence for sometime, until I broke the silence, "thank you for doing that."

He smiled, his dimples becoming more prominent, "anytime! But I don't blame him, you're so...pulchra."

"Ummm, annoying? Yeah, thanks," I replied.

"Wow! You are so gullible!"

"What do you mean?"

"Pulchra means beautiful, not annoying."

My eyes widened in shock, "w-what?"

He laughed. My mind couldn't process what Lust had just said. What shocked me is not that Wrath had called me beautiful, rather it was that someone thought I was remotely beautiful.

"I...I d-don't," I stammered.

Lust kept laughing, "you are beautiful," he stopped laughing but he remained smiling, "that's the human in me talking."

I couldn't help but smile at that comment. Wrath had told me that demons are 50% demon, 50% human but the sins are 99% demon and 1% human.

I wanted to say something to him, anything would do, but secretly I wished for something to take me away from him. My phone began to ring and Joshua spoke on the other end, "hey Maia, it's getting late. You should probably come back to the RV."

"Yeah be right there."

Once the sun went down, basking the hilltop with hundreds of hues. I sat beside Joshua while talking to each other. I learnt so much more about each sin that night that I cherished a lot.

We began to drive again, Wrath drove while Joshua sat next to him. I sat as far away from Lust as I could. I found a place next to Greed and I could feel Lust watching me. I caught his eye multiple times, but I instantly looked away. I got up to go bed since it was passed midnight when Lust grabbed my wrist and pulled me aside.

"Why are you acting so weird?" He asked.

"N-no reason," I forced myself to look in his eyes.

He kept watching me and I bit my lip, looking down at my shoes. His hand lifted my chin up, making me to look at him.

"Whatever your reason may be, I just want to tell you that I don't anything to ruin our friendship."

"It's just that-" I was cut off by the RV swerving, knocking me off my feet and slamming right into Lust's firm chest. He held on to me tight as he whispered so quietly, as if he didn't want me hear, "I got you."

Once I had recovered, we ran to see what happened. We got off the RV to see something that scared all nine of us.
