Hello everyone and welcome to an all-new chapter, I know right a chapter? Early? Yep, an early chapter.
If you guys didn't see the note I sent off like...a couple of days ago or was it yesterday? GAH I don't remember it's been a stressful couple of days but here I am with an update.
So it's been 16-17 days since Shadowhunters ended and I still haven't gotten over the series finale, so about a week ago I heard that a tv show under the same company or whatever that Shadowhunters was in was recently renewed (The Bold Type...is that what's called?) And I am utterly confused I thought the company was having "financial" problems with either FreeForm (or FlipFlop as I like to call them) or Netflix (NetBitch sorry to the Netflix users but they suck now I mean am I wrong?) Maybe both and that's what made them cancel Shadowhunters well a tv show call Bold Type is under the same company, same network, etc. And they got renewed and every Shadowhunters fan is confused and so am I. Can someone comment down below what their deal is? Canceling a fan-favorite tv and renewing a tv that is under the same situation and company.

Whatever, anyways before I start this chapter off I want to talk about today's chapter. There is this song I really love called "Vanilla Twilight" by Owl City and if I am not mistaken the song is about missing someone and thinking about them and think about the times they spent together basically reminisce, so in today's chapter, Alec is in Idris and Magnus can't visit because well rules no demons allowed and Alec has to stay there for few weeks almost a month and Magnus misses him and writes him letters to his lovely Angel and we go from there (I ain't giving away the full story)

Okay, I rambled on like Felicity Smoak so here's the chapter.

The stars lean down to kiss you and I lie awake missing you...

It's been 5 weeks since Alec left to Idris for an important meeting and Magnus misses him so much. Of course, Izzy, Clary, and Catarina know that Magnus will be worried and miss him so they take him out whenever they can. But there are times that they are too busy stopping demons, personal mundane jobs and taking care of Madzie that Magnus spends the day alone. And what does he do in his spare time? He writes love letters to his boyfriend. The letter usually says "I miss you" and "I love you, wish you were home" but with Magnus, he doesn't write long letters that people do when they miss their friends, family, and lovers. No, Magnus keeps it short but meaningful.

Pour me a heavy dose of atmosphere. Cause I'll doze off safe and soundly but I'll miss your arms around me

It was late and Magnus was alone in his apartment, a cocktail in one hand and a pen in the other. He was writing a letter to his beloved.
"My beloved, the stars are quite beautiful tonight but I can't stare into them without missing staring into your beautiful eyes. I miss you so much. I hope you are doing well in Idris. Stay safe my love,  I love you"
Magnus finishes the letter and sent it off with his magic. He smiled.
Alec replies to the letters whenever he can and he loves how Magnus writes him letters, but it makes him miss Magnus more. Alec was currently sitting in the office waiting for anything to happen, a new meeting, demon attacks, Magnus's letters, anything. Alec sighed and finally, something landed on his desk. He picked up the letter and smiled widely. He knew exactly who sent him the letter. He opened the letter eagerly. He read the letter and smiled. He had to reply to him so he got out his stele and wrote symbols in the air.
"Dear Magnus, I miss you too, the places I go aren't the same without you. I wish you were here, Idris is so beautiful but it isn't beautiful without you. I want to hold you and kiss you so bad. I can't wait to come home to you"
Alec sent the message off and did his normal thing....wait.

I'd send a postcard to you dear cause I wish you were here.

Back at Brooklyn, morning fell, the sunlight hit the curtains in Magnus's place shining in Magnus's eyes. (How can people sleep through that ugh once the sun hits my eyes I'm awake and grumpy as hell lol). Magnus woke up and smiled, he reached over hoping to hold Alec but all he felt was a cold empty side. Magnus frowned and sat up. He sighed and put his face in his hands. It's officially been a month and Alec still hasn't returned. Magnus felt something land on his lap and saw that Alec sent him a fire message. Magnus smiled as he read the message.

I'll watch the night turn light blue. But it's not the same without you. Because it takes two to whisper quietly the silence isn't so bad.

Magnus made himself breakfast and wrote a letter like he usually does in the morning.
"It's another morning without you and I continue to miss you. I am going crazy. I look at my side and I hope to see you, with your hand in mine but my hand remains cold and empty. I hope you return soon, love because I miss you so much"
Magnus sent the letter off and started his day.

Till I look at my hands and feel sad. Cause the spaces between my fingers are right where yours fit perfectly.

Magnus hung out with Clary that day, there weren't any demon sightings. Clary took Magnus to the mall, they were currently looking at clothes and make-up. Clary talked about her oddly handsome and pain in the ass Jace, Magnus was half listening he was too deep in thought. Clary knew who Magnus was thinking about, she looked down in sadness and sighed. Finally, she spoke.

"He's gonna return soon Magnus I promise you," Clary said breaking Magnus from his thought.
"I know biscuit but I just can't help but worry, I mean I do receive his letters but I always wonder " what if that was his last letter?" " Magnus said.
"You think that something happened to him?" Clary asked studying a leather jacket.
Magnus sighed and nodded
"Remember Magnus, Jace would know that something happened to Alec and right now Alec is fine" Clary said grabbing the jacket.
"Oh and I'm supposed to believe " Jace's tattoo" or something?" Magnus asked in his sassy tone
"Believe us. Not just Jace, not just on a gut feeling but believe me..believe us when we say that he's fine" Clary said
"I suppose that you're right," Magnus said with a smile.
Clary smiled back. The continue on their shopping spree and Magnus had a great time.

I'll find repose in new ways, though I haven't slept in two days. Cause cold nostalgia chills to the bone.

Alec hasn't been sleeping that much due to late meetings and missing Magnus. He received a letter from him but didn't have time to reply like he usually does. "Oh no, he's probably worried sick now since I didn't respond," Alec thought to himself. He fumbled with his hands nervously, he was currently in a meeting which was lasting an hour and Alec desperately wanted to reply to Magnus.
Alec couldn't take it anymore, he excused himself from the meeting and ran off to the office. He grabbed his stele and wrote:
"Don't worry my love I am doing okay, the meetings are hell but I should return home soon. Wait for me like you have been waiting for a month now. Stare at the door and I will enter through the door and kiss you. I promise you"
He sighed a relief when he finally sent the message off.

But drenched in vanilla twilight, I'll sit on the front porch all night. Waist deep in thought because when I think of you, I don't feel so alone.

Magnus hadn't received a message from Alec and he began to panic "something happened" he thought but it all subsided when he remembers what Clary said. He took a deep breath and sat down on his couch and went into deep thought like he usually does, he thought about those times he and Alec had before he left. He remembers when Alec told him he had to leave in a couple of days and Magnus wanted to make those couple of days memorable. So he spoiled his boyfriend with fancy dates.
Magnus smiled at those memories.

I don't feel so alone. I don't feel so alone. As many times as I blink, I'll think of you tonight. I'll think of you tonight.

Magnus was about to head to bed when something flew to him. His heart quickens and he grabbed the message. He read it and smiled. A single tear escaped his eye. He held the letter close to his chest. He instantly fell asleep after he received the letter, he knows Alec is fine so he can rest easy now.

When violet eyes get brighter and heavy wings grow lighter. I'll taste the sky and feel alive again.

This time it was Alec who wrote to Magnus first. He had some great news.
"Magnus I have some great news, I will be returning home next week. I am so happy and excited to see you, I can't wait to wrap my arms around you and kiss those beautiful lips. Just hang tight love"
When Magnus received the message he jumped out of bed....literally and squealed. He was happy. He cried tears of joy. After a month and a few days of hell, his love is finally returning home, where he belongs.
Magnus went to the Insitute and told the girls the good news. Izzy knew he was returning cause Alec sent a message to Izzy earlier. Clary gave Magnus a great big hug and whispered: "I told you so." Magnus texted Catarina the news and she wanted to celebrate which means "Girls Night out ft. Magnus Bane."

And I'll forget the world I knew but I swear I won't forget you.

A week has passed and Magnus was excited, Clary wanted to throw Alec a "Welcome Back" party which was surprising because it was Magnus who plans and throw parties.

The party went on and Alec didn't show up. Magnus was beginning to worry and so was Izzy and Clary. Clary and Izzy looked at each other with concern.
"Maybe they are having problems opening a portal or-" Clary was cut off by Magnus
"Stop trying to make up some stupid lies Clarissa" Magnus shot, spitting her name out like venom. Clary took a step back.  Her face looked heartbroken like she just got yelled at by her own parents.

Magnus got up and left his apartment with the slam of the door. Magnus was pissed out and worried "He should be here by now where is he" he thought. He was walking in the late night streets of Brooklyn when he saw a glowing burning light coming towards him. A fire message. Magnus grabbed it and read it
"Meet me at a place where I  confessed my love to you in front of people"
Magnus looked at the clue again ""where I confessed my love to you in front of people" he read out loud. "What does that even mean?" He thought to himself

He then remembers "where I confessed my love for you....where I first kissed him at his own wedding!" Magnus thought and ran off to get his love.

Oh, if my voice could reach back through the past. I'd whisper in your ear. "Oh darling, I wish you were here"

Magnus busted through the doors of the church and saw a man standing there. Magnus recognized this man. His perfect hair, his perfect eyes, his perfect skin....his perfect Alec.
Alec smiled at him, Magnus ran up towards him. Alec opened his arms wide and Magnus crashed into them hugging Alec tightly. Alec lifted Magnus up (since he's short) and swung him around hugging him.

They broke apart and looked at each other.
"I missed you so much" Magnus said tears falling
Alec reached up and brushed the tears away with his thumbs and smiled.
"I'm here" he said. And those words were enough for him to crash his lips against Alec's.

Alec knew about the party cause Izzy sent him a fire message. And the truth is he didn't want a welcome home party, Magnus is his welcome home party all he wanted to do was what he just did just now. Hold his boyfriend close and kiss him like he missed him.

So they returned home and saw that Clary was cleaning up the mess by herself. She sniffled like she was crying. Magnus realized why he yelled at her for no reason when all she was doing was trying to help. Clary looked at Magnus and Alec.
"There he is Magnus, your boyfriend happy now?" She spits and continues to clean up the mess.
"Clary I am so sorry for I said to you I was just so worried and angry. I thought Alec couldn't make it tonight and I took my anger out on you and I didn't mean it. I know you were trying to help and I yelled at you for it" Magnus said "I'm sorry biscuit" he apologized.
Clary nodded at him like he's forgiven. Magnus hugged Clary. "Now go home I'll take care of this mess" he said.
Clary nodded and walks out of the apartment after she greeted Alec.
For once Alec actually smiled and said Thank You.

Instead of actually cleaning the apartment up. Magnus cleared off the couch and grabbed Alec and slammed him down on the couch and kissed him.

He was glad that Alec was home.

This chapter hit me right in the feels I love the scenes between Magnus and Clary. Because Magnus is basically well...not basically he is Clary's godfather and it is so cute whenever they have scenes together. One of the many things I missed about Shadowhunters.
