*sniffs* *blows nose* hello everyone welcome to a new chapter *chokes on words* I hope everyone is doing well...doubt it though cause let's face it. We all saw the recent episode of Shadowhunters *cries* *blows nose*

So this chapter is another lyrical chapter, I apologize for those types of chapter but I am too sad to write a smutty chapter.

Even if we can't find heaven, heaven, heaven, heaven, heaven, heaven....

One thing you should know about Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood, no matter what state they are in, whether they are in a middle of war, personal hell, or hell itself...they will never leave each other's sides.

Hands, put your empty hands in mine. And scars, show me all the scars you hide.

Alec was stressed out, Jace betrayed the whole team by joining Valentine...or at least that's what the Shadowhunters think. Jace joined Valentine to save Alec, Magnus, Clary, Izzy and Simon. Alec couldn't get the image of Valentine grabbing Jace's arm and dragging him to the portal giving one final look at Clary out of his head. Alec doesn't know where Jace is or if he's okay, but Alec knows he's alive he would know if he wasn't. Alec was stressed and angry. He told eveyone to back off...he even snapped at Magnus, when all Magnus was trying to do was calm him down he ended up yelling at his boyfriend.
Magnus stormed off leaving Alec alone.
"At this moment...nothing" was what Magnus said to Alec before he left the institute. Alec sighed.

Alec went to Magnus's apartment to apologize AND BOY WAS IT HARD TO APOLOGIZE. Magnus shirtless, practicing his magic. Alec was able to apologize to Magnus and Magnus smiled "You're forgiven, also you are great at apologies."
Magnus also said "We always going to face challenges. So, when things get crazy. Don't push me away." He placed his hands on top of Alec's.

And hey, if your wings are broken please take mine so yours can open too. Cause I'm gonna stand by you.

Alec was sitting on the fire esacpe ladder at Magnus's place. His hands were still covered in Jocelyn (Clary's mother) blood. No matter how hard he scrubbed his hands, the blood remained to haunt him forever. Seeing Clary's face after she found Jocelyn laying on the ground, chest clawed open, puddle of blood near her and her eyes stared at nothiness is crystal clear in Alec's head.

Oh, tears, make kaleidoscopes in your eyes. And hurt, I know you're hurting but so am I.

Magnus wasn't having a joyous day either, he finally turned Camille, the woman he once loved, over to the Clave. Magnus still loved her unconditionally but being with Alec changed him. Magnus found Alec sitting outside, his hands was still covered in blood. Magnus know who's blood that belonged too, and he too is saddened to hear about Jocelyn's passing. Magnus confronted Alec about it.
"I'm fine" was Alec's responce.
"No you're not, you're hurting...badly" he said to him.

And Love, if  your wings are broken, borrow mine so yours can open too
Cause I'm gonna stand by you

"You hope the pain here will overpower the pain there" Magnus said describing the pain Alec is going through.

Even if we're breaking down, we can find a way to break through. Even if we can't find heaven, I'll walk through hell with you.

The day Valentine became Magnus and Magnus became Valentine was also the day Magnus had a terrible memory of his mother, finding her dead body with the knife still impaled in her stomach. The Clave tortured "Valetine" by using the painful Agony rune replaying the most painful memory. Magnus's mother's death was the painful memory. Magnus kept that part to himself, he didn't tell Alec either. Alec knows something is wrong with Magnus.

Love, you're not alone, cause I'm gonna stand by you. Even if we can't find heaven, I'm gonna stand by you.

Alec confronted Magnus. "I'm sorry but I'm not gonna leave until you talk to me."
Magnus stood there all quiet.

"Remember when you said 'when things get crazy, don't push me away' "
Magnus gave in. He opened up to Alec that day. "I never wanted you to see this terrible..ugly side of me...of my past" Magnus said whipping his tears away.

Yeah, you're all I never knew I needed. And the heart, sometimes it's unclear why it's beating.

"Hey...there is nothing ugly about you" Alec said. Magnus was still crying. Alec leaned forward and hugged him.

And love, if your wings are broken, we can brave through these emotions, too cause I'm going to stand by you.

No matter what happened in their personal lives or in the battke field they stand by each other. They never leave each other's side.

Even if they broke up, they won't let each other face danger alone.

Oh truth, I guess truth is what you believe in. And faith, I think faith is having a reason.

Magnus, Alec and Izzy portaled to a beach in New York after tracking down a portal letting through demons. Magnus studied the hole and a flying demon flew out and hit Izzy across the face.
"COVER ME!" Magnus shouted and started to close the hole with his magic.
Alec started to shoot at the demon.

And nah nah nah, love, if your wings are broken borrow mine til yours can open too. Cause I'm gonna stand by you

The demon started to fly towards Alec and Alec kept missing his target, so he ran
"MAGNUS!" He called out to him running fast only to have the demon catch up.
"MAGNUS!" he called out again, Magnus was still trying to close the portal.
He heard Alec call out to him and try to close the hole faster.
"MAGNUS!" Alec called once again.

Even if we're breaking down, we  can find a way to break through. Even if  we can't find I'll walk through hell with.

Magnus spun around and blew up the demon then went back to closing the hole.

Even broke up, they are there to save each other from harm.

Love, you're not alone cause I'm going to stand by you. Even if we can't find heaven, I'm going to stand by you.

Magnus, Alec and Izzy were at the institute to track down any more of the demons they fought eariler, Jace and Clary were out to find Valentine to stop him from raising the Angel Raziel. Alec was looking at the computer when all of a sudden he a jabbing pain in his side.
"Ah" he groaned out in pain
"Alexander?" Magnus asked

Even if we can't find heaven, I'll walk through hell with you. Love, you're not alone, cause I'm gonna stand by you

"What's wrong?" Magnus asked. Alec lifted up his shirt and saw his Parabatai rune glowing
"His Parabatai rune..." Izzy said
"It's-" Alec started to have flash of images of Jace "Jace" he then screamed out in pain.
He collapsed to the ground still screaming in pain. Magnus rushed to his side and held onto his shoulders trying to comfort Alec through the pain.

Alec finally stopped screaming. He wad breathing hard. He looked at his Parabatai rune and it disappeared. "I-I-I can't feel him anymore....he's dead."

Even when they are broken up...Magnus was there to help Alec

After everything was said and done, Valentine dead and Jace surprisly alive and unharmed, The downworlders threw a party to celebrate Valentine's death. Alec went towards Magnus, and Magnus was talking about his normal night celebrating. Alec smiled.

And when you can't rise, well I'll crawl with you on hands and knees cause I...

"Can we talk?" Alec asked. Magnus nodded.
They were outside, talking and Alec apologize for not telling Magnus about the soul sword. Alec lying costed his relationship with Magnus. Alec revealed to Magnus that he can't live without him.
Magnus stepped closer "a wise man once told me 'relationships take effort' "
"Yeah that was an understatement"
"You know what's not an understatment"

I'm gonna stand with you. Even if we're breaking down, we can find a way to break through, come on.
Even if we can't find heaven, I'll walk through hell with you.

Magnus placed his lips on Alec's lips. The kiss was sweet and full of love. They kissed like they haven't kissed in years.

"I'm all about big parties but let's say we get out of here?" Magnus suggested.
"Yes" Alec replied. They walked together, arms wrapped around each other.

Even if we can't find heaven, I'll walk through hell with you. Love, you're not alone, cause I'm gonna stand by you. Love you're not alone.

They may face challenges in their lives but they will have each other. Nothing will keep them apart no matter what situation they are in...
