Volume 1 Chapter 5: The First Step part 2

(Y/N)'s P.O.V

I fly through the air in a position that I would usally be in, flying in my wing suit. "Man wish I could bring that hunk of metal with me" I say to myself. I start nose diving towards the millions of trees in the emerald forest. "Let the test begin" I say to myself smirking. The two blades from my gauntlets blades come out before I hit a tree. I flew through the brush and stuck the blade into the tree. I spiraled down the tree brfore touching the ground. When I touch the ground I do a barrel roll, and proceed to stand up and dust my right shoulder off. I start to walk off before I hear a growl. "Just my luck" I say turning around. Two Beowolfs had showen them self's to me. "Oh hey, you two look hungry" I say too the two Grimm. The two just growl at me and get ready to attack. "You know there are other tasty treats out there. There's this one chick with blonde hair, and boy Is she top heavy" I say referring to Yang. The Grimm growls at me and gose for a slash. I grab it's paw mid swing with my right hand. I look straight into it's eye's "That all you got?" I ask the creature. I aim my left gauntlet and shoot a bullet through it's skull. The beast falls limp as it drops to the ground dead, it then turns to ash. I look at the other one as the blades of my gauntlets come out. I rush at the beast and stab it in the chest. It howls in pain before trying to get a slash in on me. I do a backflip dodging the attack. I then proceed to cut it's hand off. It howls in pain again before I turn it's head into a kebab. The body turns into ash, and the head on my blade gose last. The blades retract into my gauntlets as I start to walk off to the where the relics rest. I then hear a scream that sounds all to familiar I see Jaune fly over the tree tops. I then see a red and gold spear fly after him. I then hear what I assume to be the spear hit a tree. "Thank you!" I hear Jaune call. "I'm sorry!" I hear Pyrrha yell back.

((No one's P.O.V))

"Ugh this is bad, this is really bad!" Ruby thinks to herself while running through the forest. "What if I can't find her? What if someone finds her first? There's always Jaune... He's nice. He's funny! I don't think he's very good in a fight, though" Ruby thinks with a small frown appearing on her face. "Oh! What about Blake! So mysterious, so calm. Plus she likes books! Well, then again, I'm not sure I'd be able to hold a conversation with her" Ruby thinks getting another frown on her face. "Oh, (Y/N)! He seems nice and chill. I think he likes books too! Well... I feel like somethings off about him" Ruby thinks, gaining yet another frown on her face. "Ugh! Okay... Who else do I know in this school? There's Yang, Jaune, Blake, (Y/N), and..." before she could finish she came to a hault running into a familiar white haired girl. The two made eye contact and stared at each other. Weiss starts to walk away "Wait! Where are you going?" Ruby yells. "We're supposed to be teammates" Ruby says kicking the dirt sadly. "Ow! Ugh!" Weiss says hoping through some bushes. She proceeds to walk forward while pushing some shrubbery out of her way. "Phew!" She sighs relived while dusting herself off. "Ugh come on you stupid urg... come on agh" Jaune mumbles to himself trying to pull Pyrrha's spear out from his hoodie. He looks down and spots Weiss looking up at him. He laughs nervously and waves before Weiss walks away. "By no means dose this make us friends" Weiss says grabbing Ruby's hood and dragging the black haired girl behind her. "You came back!" Ruby cheers while throwing her arms up in the air. "Hey, wait! Come back! Who's gonna get me down from here?" Jaune calls out. "Jaune?" A familiar voice calls. Jaune looks down to see Pyrrha. "Do you... have any spots left on your team?" Pyrrha asks. "Very funny" Jaune says crossing his arms and looking away from the girl. Jaune looks back down at Pyrrha giving her a smile. Pyrrha smiles back at him. "What' the hurry?" Ruby asks Weiss. "I will not let my mission be delayed because you're too slow" Weiss says stomping away from Ruby. "I swear, if I get a bad grade because your-" before Weiss could finish Ruby zoomed infront of her. "What the?" Weiss says. "I'm not slow see! You don't have to worry about me!" Ruby says pointing her thumb at herself. "When did... ?" Weiss says looking back confused. "Weiss, just because I don't exactly know how to deal with people doesn't mean I don't know how to deal with monsters" Ruby says. "You're about to see a whole different side of me today, Weiss" Ruby says. And after it's all over, you're gonna be like "Wow!" That Ruby gir is really really cool... and I want to be her friend" Rubys says putting her arm around Weiss's shoulder and panning her hand too the right. Ruby zips away leaving some rose petals behind. Weiss swats them away before hearing a rustling sound. "You may be fast, but you still excel at wasting time!" Weiss calls. "Ruby?" Weiss says confused. The rustling continues "... Ruby?" Weiss says with a hint of concern in her voice. Growls could be heard as Weiss looked around her to see red eyes stareing at her. A Beowolf walks out of a bush and growls at Weiss. "Ruby!" Weiss calls worried. The Grimm roars at her ready to attack...

Volume 1 Chapter 6: The Emerald Forest

((No one's P.O.V))

"Helloooooooo?" Yang calls walking through the emerald forest. A black blurr rushes behind some bushes. "Is anyone out there? Hellooooooooo? I'm getting bored here" Yang calls while stopping. A rustle could be heard "Is someone there?" Yang asks turning around. "Ruby is that you?" Yang asks pushing the shrubs away. A growl could be heard as Yang looked up. "Nope" she simply said. A ursa jumps out of the bush going for a slash. Yang barrel rolls out of the way. She stands up as her gauntlets form around her wrists. Another ursa charges at her, Yang backflips dodging it's attack. The other one charges at her before getting punched in the gut. The second dose the same but gets uppercuted and then kicked in the gut. "You guys wouldn't happen to have seen a girl in a red hood would you?" Yang asks the Grimm. The two beast growl back, one standing up on it's two back legs. "Could just say no!" Yang says back at the creatures. The ursa on it's back legs gose for two slashes. Yang dodges the first slash and backflips dodging the second. Yang laughs "Geez you two couldn't hit the broad side of a ba-" before Yang could finish she saw a single piece of her hair float down to the ground. Yang sighs "You..." is what Yang could only say. The two Grimm look at each other confused. "You monster!" Yang yells basically igniting on fire. Yang lets out a battle cry as she uses her gauntlets to shoot her forward. She lands a furry of punches on one of the Grimm. It gose flying back crashing through three trees. Her gauntlets reloads as a tree falls down and the other Grimm rushes at her. "What you want some too?!" Yang yells at the beast. The Grimm growls back before falling limp to the ground to reveal Blake behind it. Blake pulls her weapon out of the Grimms back causing it to fly out. She tugs the black ribbon that's attached to the blade and catches it. She then holsters her weapon and smirks at Yang, "I could have taken him" Yang says. "WOOOOO!" a voice could be heard. All of the sudden (Y/N) came bursting out of some trees. He stuck the blades of his gauntlets into the tree spiraling around in circles. A ursa burst through the trees the same way (Y/N) came from. (Y/N) flew forward spinning in a circle. He hit the Grimm with his blades, cutting it in two. The two blades retracted into there respective gauntlets. He looks at the two girl "Hi" he says greeting the two.A clash of metal could be heard as Weiss slid back from the slash of the beowolf. "Remember your training Weiss" Weiss thinks to herself. "Head up, shoulders back, right foot forward" Weiss thinks doing all the steps her sister taught her. "Not that forward" Weiss thinks putting her right foot back a bit. "Slow your breathing, wait for the right time to strike..." Weiss thinks narrowing her eyes. "And..." Weiss thinks getting in a fighting position with her rapier. The dust compartment spins around. "Now!" Weiss says rushing forward. "Uhh! Gotcha!" Ruby says slicing the Grimm with her scythe. "Gaah!" Weiss says supprised. Weiss stumbles causing her rapier to fire a dust incased bullet at a tree, causing a tree to set on fire. The beowolf Ruby attacked slashed her causing her to bump into Weiss. "Hey, watch it!" Ruby says to Weiss. "Excuse me, you attacked out of turn. I could have killed you" Weiss replies. "You'll have to try a lot harder than that" Ruby says to herself. The leader of the pack howls as the other Grimm get ready to attack. A clip drops from Ruby's scythe, she takes out another clip and loades it into the scythe. The two get in there fighting stance before a tree falls down, causing the grass to set on fire. Weiss grabs Ruby's hands "We have to go" Weiss says as the two run off as another tree could be heard falling down. The Grimm start to growl and moan as the fire spreads around them. Ruby and Weiss had gotten away from the fire. Weiss stops and bends over breathing heavily and panting. "What was that!?" Ruby yells. "That should've been easy!" Ruby says annoyed. "Well perhaps if you had exercised even the slightest amount of caution with the placement of your strikes, I wouldn't have set the forest on fire!" Weiss says annoyed as well. Ruby scoffs "What's that supposed to mean?" Ruby yells back. "I'm just supprised someone who talked so much would communicate so little during an encounter" Weiss replies. "Well, I'm sorry that you need my help to win a fight. I'm just fine on my own!" Ruby says crossing her arms. "Well, congratulations on being the strongest child to sneak your way into Beacon, bravo" Weiss says throwing her arms up while walking away. Ruby yells in anger while taking her scythe out and cutting a tree in half with it. The two didn't notice a gaint black feather fell to the ground behind them. Pyrrha pushes a bush out of her way. Jaune follows behind her looking around. A explosion could be heard in the distance "Did you hear that?" Jaune asks. "Gunfire. It seems are of our comrades have encountered the enemy" Pyrrha replies. The two continue to walk through some bushes. Pyrrha pushes a branch out of her way. Causing it to hit Jaune in the face making him fall back. "Jaune! I'm sorry" Pyrrha says turning around. "Heh. It's okay. Just a scratch" Jaune says removing his hand from his face to reveal a scratch. Jaune stands up "Why didn't you activate your aura?" Pyrrha asks Jaune. "Huh?" Jaune replies confused. "Your aura" Pyrrha says. "Gesundheit" Jaune replies. "Jaune, do you, know what aura is?" Pyrrha asks. Jaune scoffs "Of course I do... Do you know what aura is?" Jaune replies clearly lying. "Aura is the manifestation of our souls. It bears our burdens and shields our hearts. Have you ever felt like you were being watched without knowing that someone was there?" Pyrrha asks. "Uh, yeah" Jaune replies confused. "With practice, our aura can be our shield. Everyone has it. Even animals" Pyrrha explains. "What about monsters?" Jaune asks. "No, the monsters we fight lack a soul. They are Creatures of Grimm. The manifestation of anonymity. They are the darkness and we are the light" Pyrrha explains. "Right. That's why we fight them" Jaune says. "It's not about why, it's about knowing. Understanding both dark and light helps us manifest our aura. Everyone has some of both. By baring your soul outward as a force you can deflect harm. All of our tools and equipment are our conduits for aura. You project yourself and your soul with fighting" Pyrrha finishes. "It's like a forcefield!" Jaune says. "Yes, if you wanna look at it that way" Pyrrha replies. Meanwhile Ren was blocking a King Taijitu's fangs with his aura. Ren grabs it's two fangs and rips them out of the Grimms mouth. The Taijitu gose to bite Ren but misses. Ren shoves the Taijitu's fang into it's left eye. Ren palm strikes the fang, causing the Taijitu's head to ripple then explode. Ren runs towards the white King Taijitu. "Now close your eyes and concentrate" Pyrrha says walking up to Jaune. Pyrrha puts her left hand on Jaune's cheek. "Uhh... okay" Jaune says closing his eyes. Pyrrha closes her eyes and then opens them showing her aura. She then closes her eyes yet again "For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. Through this we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all. Infinite in distance and unbound by death, I release your soul, and by my shoulder protect thee" Pyrrha backs up tired out. "Pyrrha?" Jaune ask's worried. "It's alright, I used my aura to unlock yours, but the energy that protects you now is your own" Pyrrha says. Pyrrha smiles, Jaune's scratch heals fast "You have a lot of it" Pyrrha says. "Wow" Jaune says looking at his hands, which where surrounded by a white aura. Ren stands on top of the two King Taijitu's. His guns slide back down his sleeves. He proceeds to pat his arms down. "Qrrraaww! Qrrraaww!" A voice calls. Ren looks to his left to see Nora come out of a trees leaves upside down. "Heh. I still don't think that's what a sloth sounds like" Ren says. "Boop" Nora says booping Ren's nose.

Volume 1 Chapter 7: The Emerald Forest part 2

Ozpin looks over the Emerald Forest on top of the cliff the students where launched off at. Glynda walks up beside him holding a tablet. "Our last pair has been formed, sir" Glynda says taping a video clip of Nora and Ren. "Nore Valkyrie and Lie Ren" Glynda says looking at the video of Ren pating his arm. "Poor boy. I can't possibly imagine those two getting along" Glynda says changing the video to Pyrrha and Jaune. "Still, he's probably better off than Ms.Nikos" Glynda says watching Jaune get whacked in the face with a branch. "Hmm..." Ozpin mumbles. "I don't care what his transcripts say, that Jaune fellow is not ready for this level of combat" she says still looking at the tablet. "I guess we'll find out soon" Glynda says turning off the tablet. "At their current pace, they should reach the temple within just a few minutes" Glynda says walking away. "Speaking of which, what did you use as relics this year?" Glynda asks Ozpin. "... Professor Ozpin?" Glynda says turning around. "Hmm..." Ozpin says looking at the live feed of Ruby and Weiss. "It's definitely this way" Weiss says walking back and fourth in the feed. "What about Mr.(L/N)" Ozpin asks. "He seems to have stuck with Ms.Xiao long and Ms.Belladonna. But it appears he is not partnered up with anyone yet" Glynda replies. "... A Vulture that strives to survive on it's own" Ozpin says. "Excuse me?" Glynda asks. "Oh nothing Opzin replies looking away from his tablet and at the Emerald Forest. Ruby looks at a leaf while Weiss still paces back and fourth. "I mean... this way! It's definitely this way" Weiss says stopping. Weiss then walks over to the sat down Ruby. "Alright, it's official, we passed it!" Weiss says watching Ruby get up off the ground. "Why can't you just admit that you have no idea where we're going?"Ruby asks. "Because I know exactly where we're going!" Weiss replies. "We're going to... the Forest Temple" Weiss says walking over to Ruby's side. "Ugh!" Ruby scoffs walking off. "Oh, stop it! You don't know where we are either!" Weiss says. "Well at least I'm not pretending like I know everything!" Ruby replies turning around. "What is that supposed to mean?" Weiss says crossing her arms. "It means you're a big stupid jerk and I hate you!" Ruby says angrily. "Ugh! Just keep moving" Weiss says walking off. "Oh, just keep moving! Hurry up! Wah, watch where you're going" Ruby says mocking Weiss. "Why are you so bossy?" Ruby asks still clearly angry. "I'm not bossy! Don't say things like that" Weiss says wlaking back towards Ruby. "Stop treating me like a kid!" Ruby says. "Stop acting like a kid!" Weiss says walking up close to Ruby. "Well stop acting like you're perfect!" Ruby says getting up in Weiss's face. "I'm not perfect!" Weiss yells. "Not yet. But I'm still leagues better than you" Weiss says walking away again. "You don't even know me..." Ruby says to herself. Meanwhile Yang, Blake and (Y/N) arrived at the temple the relics where at. "Think this is it?" Yang asks. Blake looks at Yang and starts to walk down the small hill. "Let's take silence as a yes" (Y/N) says following Blake. The three students examine the podiums the relics where on. "Chess pieces?" Blake says confused. "Some of them are missing" Yang says looking at a empty podium. "Looks like we weren't the first ones here" Yang says looking at Blake. "Well... I guess we should pick one" Blake replies. "Problem is I don't have a teammate" (Y/N) says to himself. Meanwhile Pyrrha and Jaune where stareing at a cave entrance. "Think this is it?" Jaune says. The two walk into the cave, Jaune somehow made a torch as well. They walked inside with the tourch looking around the dark cave. "I'm not sure this is it..." Pyrrha says. Jaune sighs "Pyrrha, I made the torch. Could you at least humor me for mabey five more feet?" Jaune replies. Just then Jaune trips causing the torch to fall out of his hand, causing it to get put out in a small puddle. "Ow" Jaune says getting up. "Do you feel that?" Pyrrha asks Jaune. "Soul crushing regret?" Jaune replies. "No, it's... Warm" Pyrrha says. Meanwhile at the actual temple, Yang examines a chess piece. "How about a cute little pony?" Yang says holding up the knight piece. "Wow... I honestly did not expect that to come out of your mouth" (Y/N) says. "Sure" Blake says rolling her eyes. (Y/N) turns around and looks at some vines that seemed to covering something. He tilted his head in curiosity as he walked towards the vines. (Y/N) stops infront of the vines and moves them to reveal another podium, with what looked like a chess piece with a vulture on it. (Y/N) looks beside it to see a piece of paper. He picked the paper up and started to read it.

Hello (Y/N). I assume you have found this special relic that was made.
If you do happen to find this relic and letter, you will be the first person
In Beacon history too be a one man team. I know you like to work alone
so I thought I might as well make a test for you. Instead of you going
out and providing it yourself. And if you are not (Y/N) (L/N) and
happen too find this relic. After Initation you will come straight to my office.

(Y/N) grins before grabbing the relic. He proceeds to walking back to Yang and Blake. "That wasn't too hard" Yang says. "Well, it's not like this place is very difficult to find" Blake replies. "Jaune..." (Y/N) says to himself. "What?" Yang asks (Y/N). "Oh nothing" (Y/N) replies. Meanwhile in the cave, Jaune and Pyrrha run into something glowing? "That's the relic!" Jaune says exited. Jaune gose to grab it but it moves. "Hey! Bad relic" Jaune says. He gose to grab it, but yet again it moves. He finally grabs the 'relic'. "Gotcha!" Jaune says victorious. "Jaune..." Pyrrha says. A hiss could be heard as six red eyes glowed up in the dark. Meanwhile Yang, Blake and (Y/N) where talking waiting for some more students. Just then a scream could be heard. "Some girl's in trouble!" Yang says turning around. "Blake, (Y/N) did you hear that?" Yang says looking up in the air. "I feel like I know that scream. But I can't put my finger on it" (Y/N) says. Pyrrha runs out of the cave as Jaune's scream could still be heard. A deathstlaker burst through the small cave entrance creating a giant whole. Jaune hangs on to the grimms stinger as it roars. "Ahhh! Why? Ahhh! Pyrrha!" Jaune calls. Pyrrha skidds to a hault getting in a fighting stance. "Ahhh! Pyrrha! This is not the relic! It's not! Ahhh!" Jaune practicality whines at this point. "Do something!" He yells. "Jaune! Whatever you do, don't let-" before Pyrrha can finish Jaune gets thrown through the air. "go..." Pyrrha finishes. Pyrrha turns around as the Grimm growls at her. Pyrrha smiles then rushes off. "What should we do?" Yang asks looking at Blake. "Heads up!" A familiar voice calls. The three look up to see Ruby falling from the sky.

Volume 1 Chapter 8: Players and Pieces

((No One's P.O.V))

"Ruby! I told you this was a terrible idea!" Wiess yells as she holds onto some black feathers. "We're fine! Stop worrying!" Ruby calls back. "I am so far beyond worrying!" Weiss yells. "In a good way?!" Ruby asks. "In a bad way! In a very bad way!" Weiss yells back. "Well, why don't we just jump?!" Ruby yells. "What are you, insane?!" Weiss yells back. Ruby vanished. "Oh, you insufferable little-!" Weiss yells. "Blake, (Y/N) did you hear that? What should we d-" before Yang could finish Blake points up. Yang and (Y/N) look up to see Ruby falling from the sky. "Heads up!" Ruby yells. All of the sudden Jaune hit Ruby mid air, causing them both to fly into a tree. "What was that?" Ruby said dizzy. Ruby shakes her head "Ahem" a voice says. Ruby looks up to see Jaune. "Hey Ruby" Jaune says hanging upside down. "Did your sister just fall from the sky?" Blake asks confused. "I-" before Yang could talk a growl could be heard. Three trees fell down as a ursa came out swinging before getting shot in the back. "Yeehaw!" a voice calls. The Grimm falls down dead to reveal Nora riding it. Nora rolls off the Grimms head onto the ground. "Aw. It's broken" Nora says getting up. Ren jumps over the ursa's paw. "Eeeew..." Nora says examining the body. "Nora? Please... Don't ever do that again" Ren says out of breath. A 'Whoosh!' could be heard as Nora disappeared. Ren looked around confused. "Ooooo..." Nora says looking at the white rook chess piece. Nora picks the piece up triumphantly. "I'm Queen of the castle! I'm Queen of the castle" Nora sings making different poses with the piece. "NORA!!" Ren yells. "Hehehe, coming Ren!" Nora says saluting, then skipping off. "Did that girl just ride in on an ursa?" Blake says baffled. "She did and I'm extremely jealous" (Y/N) replies. "I-" Yang was interrupted yet again by a growl. A deathstalker burst out of a tree line chasing Pyrrha. It's right pinser swings forward trying to hit Pyrrha. Pyrrha jumps through it and continues to run. "Jaune!" Pyrrha calls. "Pyrrha!" Jaune says still hanging upside down. "Woah!" Ruby says standing up while spotting the deathstalker. "Ruby!" Jaune says before Ruby jumps off the tree branch she landed on. Ruby barrel rolls onto the ground. "Ruby?" Yang says. "Yang!" Ruby says throwing her arms up. The two go in for a hug but "Nora!" Nora says popping up between the two. "Did she just run all the way here with a deathstalker on her tail?" Blake asks while Nora looks around excited, while Yang is getting visibly angry "Grrrrr! I can't take it anymore!" Yang yells igniting. "Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something crazy happens again?" Yang says looking around. Ren walks up beside (Y/N) still tired. "Um... Yang?" Ruby says tapping Yangs shoulder then pointing up. "How could you leave me?!" Weiss says holding on to the nevermore's talon that her and Ruby flew in on. "I said 'jump'..." Ruby yells. "I say we just leave her to die" (Y/N) says. "(Y/N)!" Ruby yells at (Y/N) angry. "She's gonna fall" Blake says. "She's fine" Ruby replies. "She's falling" Ren says. Jaune finally got down from the branch he was stuck on. He smiles as he sees Weiss falling. Jaune jumps in the air catching Weiss. "Just dropping in?" Jaune asks. Weiss looks down then back up at Jaune. Jaune looks down "Oh God..." Jaune says holding on tighter to Weiss. "Noooo!" Jaune yells as him and Weiss hold each other while falling. Jaune faceplants onto the ground. Weiss proceeds to land on his back, checking her nails. "My hero..." Weiss says. "My back..." Jaune says. Pyrrha gets hit by the deathstalker and lands infront of the six students. "Great! The gang's all here! Now we can die together!" Yang says sarcastically. "Not if I can help it!" Ruby says rushing towards the deathstalker. "Ruby, wait!" Yang calls. Ruby shoots a bullet from her scythe causing her to go faster. The deathstalker hits her with it's right stinger. "D-Do-Don't worry! Totally fine!" Ruby says getting up. She turns around and shoots the deathstalker in the head, doing no damage. Ruby starts to run as the deathstalker chases her. "RUBY!" Yang yells starting to run towards her sister. Ruby keeps running as the nevermore starts to fly over head. The nevermore starts to shoot it's feathers at Ruby. A feather gose through Ruby's cape making her stuck. "AND THATS WHY YOU NEVER WEAR A CAPE!" (Y/N) yells. Yang trips as feathers stick into the ground around her. Ruby tugs at her cape "Ruby, get out of there!" Yang yells. "I'm trying!" Ruby yells back still tugging at her cape. The deathstalker swings it's stinger down to kill Ruby. "RUBY!" Yang yells holding her arm out. A white blur passes Yang as cracking could be heard. "You are so childish" Weiss says. Ruby opens her eyes to see the deathstalkers stinger frozen in ice. "Weiss?" Ruby says confused. "And dimwitted, and hyperactive" Weiss says pulling her rapier out of the ground. "And don't even get me started on your fighting style. And I suppose, I can be a bit... difficult. But if we're going to do this we're going to have to do this together" Weiss says looking down at Ruby. "So if you quit trying to show off I'll be... nicer" Weiss finishes. "I'm not trying to show off. I want you to know I can do this" Ruby says. "You're fine" Weiss says walking off. "Normal knees..." Ruby whispers to herself. "Whoa!" Ruby says getting up. The deathstalker growls, shaking to get it's stinger free. Yang runs over and hugs Ruby. "I'm so happy you're okay!" Yang says. Ruby looks up to see the nevermore flying away to turn back. "Guys, that thing's circling back. What are we gonna do?" Jaune says pointing to the nevermore. "Look, there's no sense in dilly-dallying. Our objective is right in front of us" Weiss says. "She's right. Our mission is to grab an artifact and make it back to the cliffs" Ruby says. Weiss looks at Ruby and nods, Ruby dose the same. "There's no point in fighting these things" Ruby finishes. "Run and live. That is an idea I can get behind" Jaune says. Ruby walks over to a podium and grabs the white knight piece. While Jaune grabs the white rook piece. The two look at each other and smile. "Wait..." Yang says. Everyone looks at her. "Where'd (Y/N) go?" Yang asks confused. "I've been trying to tell you!" Ren says. Everyone looks at Ren. "A ursa major started to chase him!" Ren says pointing to some trees tipped over.

(( (Y/N)'s P.O.V ))

"AND THATS WHY YOU NEVER WEAR  A CAPE!" I yell. The others start to walk forward as I stay put with Ren. I hear some rustling and look to my left. I see a pair of red eyes glaring at me from the bushes, "Um... Ren, was it?" I say. "Yes?" Ren says looking at me. I point to the bush as a ursa major comes out of it growling. Ren aims his guns at the Grimm as it charges towards... ME? I start to back up slowly then book it. I hear Ren still shooting at the Grimm. I then look back to see it still chasing me. "OH COME ON!" I yell running into the trees, with the ursa on my tail.

((No one's P.O.V))

The deathstalker growls as it starts to break free from the ice. "Time we left" Ren says. "What about (Y/N)?" Blake asks. "He sliced a ursa clean in half, I'm sure he can take a ursa major" Yang replies. "Right. Let's go" Ruby says running towards a small hill. Everyone starts to follow behind her as Yang looks at her sister proud. "What is it?" Blake asks. Ruby jumps ontop of a rock and signals everyone to follow her. "Nothing..." Yang replies starting to run after her sister. The eight run into a field surrounded by old stone structures as the nevermore flies over head. Everyone hides behind a piece of ruble. The nevermore purchase on the highest structure and screeches. "Well that's great!" Yang says sarcastically. Jaune looks back to see the deathstalker from before burst through some trees. "Oh, man, run!" Jaune yells as him and Pyrrha start to run. Yang and Ruby follow the two as the nevermore starts to fly again. "Nora, distract it!" Ren says to Nora. Nora runs through the field dodging it's feathers raining down before taking out what looked to be a grenade launcher. She started to shoot the grenades that exploded into a pink explosion. The deathstalker gose to attack Nora but Ren and Blake attack it first. Weiss summons a glyph under Nora and Grabs her, then jumps away. "Go, go! Pyrrha says skidding to a halt as her spear turns into a gun. She starts to shoot the deathstalker as the others run past her. Ren barrel rolls next to Pyrrha and starts to fire at the deathstalker as well. The deathstalker get close to everyone and gose to grab them, but misses. Everyone runs across the old stone bridge as the nevermore rams into it, smashing it into pieces. Ruby starts to fire shots at the nevermore as Jaune looks across the now broken bridge. Pyrrha, Ren and Blake where fighting off the deathstalker. "Man, we gotta get over there! They need help!" Jaune says looking across the broken bridge. "Let's do this!" Nora says. Yeah, but, uh... I can't make that jump" Jaune says looking down at the white abyss. Nora smiles and hits Jaune back with her grenade launcher as it transformed into a big hammer. Nora jumps up in the air "Oh, wait!" Jaune calls. Nora hits the bridge cracking it in half. Jaune catapultes towards the other side screaming "No, no, no, no ,no!". Nora jumps onto her hammer and pulls the trigger, causing her to launch forwards as well. "Ah, smash!" Nora yells smashing her hammer down into the deathstalkers skull. The deathstalker was gonna swing it's stinger down, but Nora pulled the trigger on her hammer which caused a grenade to go off. The deathstalker smash down into the bridge, but it's stinger managed to strike the bridge. Nora slides back into Blake knocking her off the bridge. Her weapons blade switch sideways as she pulls the trigger sending it flying into the side of the stone bridge. Blake swings through some pillars as the nevermore flies past her. She flies up, starting to hit the nevermore with multiple strikes with her weapon. She runs down it's back slashing it even more. She jumps off it's back and lands on some rubble. "It's tougher than it looks!" Blake says jumping up beside Yang and Weiss. "Then let's hit it with everything we've got!" Yang says as her gauntlets form around her wrists. The nevermore screeches as it starts to fly back.

Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang get into there fighting positions and start to fire at the nevermore. The nevermore rams into the structure the four where standing on, causing it to crumble into pieces. Weiss, Blake and Yang jump onto pieces of rubble while Ruby starts to fire, using the recoil to boost her up. Blake starts to run up a pillar. Yang uses the same strategy as Ruby, but breaking falling rubble coming towards her. Weiss uses her glyphs to help her jump through the falling rubble. The four land on the structures base. "None of this is working" Weiss says. Blake swings up onto another line of pillars. Ruby looks around, she spots Yang shooting more explosives at the nevermore. "I have a plan! Cover me!" Ruby says to Weiss as she uses her scythes gun mode fly into the air. Weiss gets into a fighting position and rushes forward.

(( (Y/N)'s P.O.V))

I burst through some bushes and start to run across what looked like a stone bridge. I soon realized it was a line of pillars connected to the stone piece I was running on top of. I come to a halt as I reach the ledge. I look down to see white mist in a valley. I turn around as the ursa major was walking closer to me. My blades come out of my gauntlets as I get in a fighting position. The major gets up on it's back pause and roars. I smirk as it charges forward. It gose for a slash on me but I barrel roll under it. It stumbles almost falling off the edge. It turns back around going for another slash. I block it with my right gauntlets blade. It growls in pain from the blade going through it's paw. I pull the blade out of it's paw and round house kick it. The ursa major fell into the white obyss. "NORA, (Y/N) NAIL IT!" I hear a familiar voice yell. I look down to see Jaune, Nora, Pyrrha and Ren fighting the deathstalker. It's stinger had gotten cut off and stuck in it's own head. Me and Nora look at each other and smile. Nora jumps onto Pyrrha's shield and pull the trigger on her hammer to launch herself into the air. I jump off the beam I was on and fly past Nora who was riding on her hammer. I land on the deathstalkers head sticking my gauntlets blades into it's head. Nora then smash it's back causing the stone bridge the others where on to catapulte them over us. Jaune and Nora hit the ground as Pyrrha dose a god damn super hero landing, and Ren falls to the ground in exhaustion.

((No one's P.O.V))

Yang was ontop of a pillar shoot explosives at the nevermore. The nevermore flies towards her with it's beak open. Yang jumps up and lands in it's beak. She hold the beak open while shooting explosives into it's mouth. "I! Hope! You're! Hung-ry!" Yang yells. Yang backflip out of it's beak and lands on the structure the nevermore destroyed. The nevermore smashes into the cliff, it slides down and lands on it's talons letting out a screech. Weiss rushes past Yang and jumps up into the air. She flies forward and stabs the nevermore's tail, making it trapped in ice. Weiss backflips and uses a glyph to land on the ground. Blake shoots her weapon over to Yang who grabs it. Yang swings around the other side of the pillar she had climed onto. She stick Blakes weapons blade into hpthe stone structure, making a giant sling shot. Ruby fires a round and jumps onto her scythe. She uses the recoil to boost up to the make shift sling shot. Weiss makes a glyph behind the sling shot. Weiss moves her fingers in a up mostion, causing the glyph to turn black. Ruby stays in place due to the glyph. "Of course you would come up with this idea" Weiss says to Ruby. "Think you can make the shot?" Ruby asks. "Hmph. Can I?" Weiss says smirking. "... Can-" before Ruby could finish "Of course I can!" Weiss replies. Ruby reloads as the glyph turns red and disappears. Flinging Ruby towards the nevermore. Ruby fires of shots using the recoil to go faster. Her scythes blade clotheslines the nevermore's neck, smashing it against the cliff. Weiss summons a line of glyphs up the side of the cliff. Ruby uses the recoil of her shots yet again to run up the glyphs dragging the nevermore's head against the cliff. Ruby reaches the top of the cliff and proceeds to decapitate the nevermore. Th nevermore's body falls down the cliff as everyone stares at the body. ((CUT THE MUSIC!!!)) "Wow" Jaune says. Ruby walks to the edge of the cliff and looks down at everyone. While rose petals flew through the wind behind her. "Well. That was a thing" Yang says to Blake and Weiss. "Russel Thrush. Cardin Winchester. Dove Bronzewing. Sky Lark" Ozpin says as the crowd claps. "The four of you retrieved the black bishop pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as... Team CRDL. Lead by... Cardin Winchester" Ozpin finishes. "Jaune Arc. Lie Ren. Pyrrha Nikos. Nora Valkyrie. The four of you retrieved the white rook pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as... Team JNPR" Ozpin says while Nora hugs Ren. "Lead by... Jaune Arc" Ozpin announces. "Huh? L-Lead by... ?"Jaune says confused. "Congratulations, young man" Ozpin says. Pyrrha playfully punches Jaune's shoulder, knocking him over. "And finally. Blake Belladonna. Ruby Rose. Weiss Schnee. And Yang Xiao Long. The four of you retrieved the white knight pieces. From the day forward, you will work together as... Team RWBY. Lead by... Ruby Rose" Ozpin finishes. "I'm so proud of you!" Yang says hugging her sister. "But. There is a student who didn't meet another student. (Y/N) (L/N)" Ozpin says as (Y/N) walks on stage.

(( (Y/N)'s P.O.V ))

I walk onto the stage and stare at Ozpin. The crowd gose silent as I stop. "Mr.(L/N). You retrieved a special piece I crafted just for you. The vulture piece. The person who finds this piece will not only be excepted into Beacon. But will have no team" Ozpin explains. The crowd gasps as I smirk. "So, this will be the first time in Beacon history, where a student won't have a team. Looks like things are shaping up to be an... interesting year" Ozpin says.

((No one's P.O.V))

The shattered moon shone through a window of a storage warehouse. A familiar man with a white coat and top hat was looking at a framed map of Vale. He had a scroll up to his left ear. People chatting over the radio could be heard before he slammed the scroll down on the table. He puts a cigar in his mouth, and proceeds to light it. A White Fang member walks up with a trolley. The man puts down a stack of Lien. The White Fang member takes the Lien. "Open it" Torchwick says. The White Fang member opens the lid of the trolley with a crowbar to reveal lot's of dust crystals. Torchwick picks up a blue crystal and looks at it. "We're gonna need more men..."
