(No one's P.O.V)

Jaune was out of breath holding onto his sword and shield. Cardin laughs "Come on..." Jaune says to himself. Jaune let's out a battle cry charging forward at Cardin. Jaune gose for a down slash with his sword, Cardin easily side steps out of the way. Cardin proceeds to hit Jaune with his mace. Jaune gose flying back, in the process losing his shield. Jaune gets up again and let's out yet another battle cry. Jaune gose for yet another down slash on Cardin. Cardin blocks the attack with the handle of his mace. "This is the part where you loose" Cardin says to Jaune wining the test of strength the two were having. "Over my dead-" before Jaune could finish, Cardin kicks him in the gut. Jaune drops his sword and clutches his stomach. Jaune falls down and grabs his sword which layed beside him. Cardin smiles while he holds up his mace ready to finish the battle off. A buzzer rings before Cardin could swing. The lights that where around them shut off "Cardin, that's enough" a voice says. Claps and some cheers could be heard as Glynda walks past the two Huntsmen in training. "Students, as you can see Mr. Arc's aura has now dropped into the red. In a tournament style dual, this would indicate Jaune is no longer fit for battle and that the official may call that match" Glynda explains to the students in her class. "Mister Arc, it's been weeks now, please try to refer to your scroll during combat, gauging your aura will help you to decide when it is appropriate to attack or when it's better to move to a more.... defensive strategy" Glynda says to Jaune as he looks at his scroll. "We wouldn't want you to be gobbled up by a Beowolf, now would we?" Glynda says. Cardin lifts up his mace and rest's it on his shoulder "Speak for yourself..." he says walking off the stage. "Remember everyone! The Vytal Festival is only a few months away. It won't belong before students from the other kingdoms start arriving in Vale, so keep practicing! Those who choose to compete in the combat tournament will be representing all of Vale" Glynda finishes before the bell rings. Pyrrha who was sitting beside Ruby looks at Jaune. Jaune then hangs his head down in defeat.

"So...There we were...In the middle of the night" Nora says in a not so scary voice. "It was day.." Ren replies correcting Nora. "We were surrounded by Ursai..." Nore says. I yawn trying not to fall asleep while Yang who was sitting to my right, seemed intrigued by Nora's story. "They were Beowolfs" Ren says correcting Nora yet again. "DOZENS OF THEM!!!" Nora yells waking me up. "WHERE!" I replie startled. Team RWBY and JNPR stare at me. I nervously giggle before rubbing the back of my head. "Only two of'em" Ren says correcting Nora a third time. "But they were no match. And in the end... Ren and I took them down and made a boatload of Lien selling Ursa skin rugs!" Nora says finishing her story. Ren sighs "She's been having this reoccurring dream for nearly a month now" Ren says. "Jaune... Are you okay?" Pyrrha asks turning to Jaune. "Uh? Oh. Yeah! Why?" Jaune replies a little bit startled and confused. "It's just that you seem a little..." before Ruby could finish I finish her sentence. "Not so dandy" I say. "Yeah" Ruby replies to me. "Eh, guys, i'm fine... Seriously, look!" Jaune says making a thumbs up with a stupid smile on his face. Just then we hear Cardin laughing. We look over to see him and his team making fun of a second year student named Velvet. "Jaune, Cardin's been picking on you since the first week of school" Pyrrha says to Jaune concerned. "Who? Cardin Winchester? Nah... He just likes to mess around, you know? Practical jokes!" Jaune replies. "He's a bully" Ruby says. "Correction. Douchebag" I replie to Ruby. "Hey! Swear jar" Yang says to me. I roll my eyes at her. "Oh please you two... Name one time he's 'bullied' me" Jaune says. "The countless time's he's hit you in the stomach. The time he opened your shield and got you stuck in a doorway. Or that other time where he shoved you into your locker and you blasted off into space" I replie. "I didn't land far from the school..." Jaune replies. "Jaune, you know if you ever need help you can just ask" Pyrrha says. "OHH!" Nora exclaims jumping up out of her seat. "We'll break his legs!" Nora says with a smile on her face. "Guys. really, it's fine!" Jaune says standing up while holding his food tray. "Besides, it's not like he's only a jerk to me; he's a jerk to everyone" Jaune says. "Ooww, that hurts!" Velvet exclaims as Cardin tugs on her left rabit ear. "Please, stop..." Velvet says to Cardin. "I told you it was real!" Cardin says to his teammates. "Oh that's it" I say. I stand up "(Y/N), he'll just get you in trouble" Pyrrha says to me. I just click my tongue and walk over to Cardin. "Hey douchebag" I say to Cardin while crossing my arms. "What did you just call me?!" Cardin says letting go of Velvets ear. He stands up and looks at me "Huh, guess the knucklehead didn't hear me the first time. Hey douchebag" I say. Cardin growls at me as I smirk. He gose for a punch but I sidestep out of the way, dodging. He trips and falls on the floor face first. The other students around us see this and start laughing at Cardin. Cardin just groans as I walk up to Velvet "Hey Velvet, you okay?" I ask her. "Kind of, it still hurts" she says rubbing her left rabbit ear. "But anyways, thank you!" She says with a smile, then walks off. "Hey! Tell Coco she still owes me!" I call to Velvet. She just looks back at me and smiles. I walk back to where my friends are sitting to see Jaune missing. "Oh, where's Jaune?" I ask. "He left while you where teaching Cardin a lesson" Yang replies. "That was very nice of you (Y/N)" Blake says to me. "Ah, just the right thing to do. Humans and Faunus are the same if you really think about" I replie to Blake. She smiles at me before going back to reading her book. Just then the bell rings. I walk over to where I was sitting and grab my tray where a empty plate and glass sat. I walk over to where the lunch man gave us our food. I put the black tray down as the old man smiled at me. "You know he looks familiar to me... ah never mind" I think to myself before walking off to my next class.
