A/N: you would start you first big step in beacon with the rest of the students to the Emerald Forest.

You were sleeping peacefully as daylight was beginning to brighten the day. However, your sleep was soon interrupted by the sound of someone yelling.

Nora: Wake up, lazy butt!

(Y/N): NANI?!

You woke up and looked around to see where that sound had come from. After you looked around, you soon saw an orange haired girl named Nora moving around as a boy named Lie Ren was just now waking up.

Nora: It's morning! It's morning! It's morning! It's morning!

She said in a singing like tone. You sat up and shook your head as she was doing that.

(Y/N): U ̄ n, kanojo wa son'nani ōgoe de sakebu hitsuyō wa arimasen. Watashitachi wa mina onaji heya ni imasu. (Ugh, she doesn't need to yell so loud. We're all in the same room).

You then shook your head again.

(Y/N): Oof! Accidently did it again. I need to try having that taken care of.

Ren started getting up before leaving the room to go change, all while Nora followed behind him. Some of the other students started to wake up as well due to Nora's noise.

(Y/N): Lord, she managed to wake everyone in here up.

You yawned as you got up and stretched before started to gently shake Ruby and Yang.

(Y/N): Hey. Wakey, wakey.

Ruby: Nuuuuuuuuuu.

Ruby said in a half-awake tone.

(Y/N): Wake up, sleeping beauties.

Yang: 5 more minutes.

Yang said with a groan.

(Y/N): ........Oh wow........ a lot of these guys here seemed to have slept here without their shirts on. And it would be a shame if the armor-like carapaces just suddenly came off to show off my chest and abs.

Yang: I'm up.

She said as she opened her eyes and quickly sat up.

Yang: ................. Uh.......

(Y/N): Well good morning, Goldilocks.

Yang: Morning.......

You both looked over to Ruby and saw she was still sleep.

Yang: I've got this. She said before she moved over and pulled out a small box. Inside of the box was a couple of cookies. Ruby had instantly caught the scent of them and woke up.

Ruby: Cookies!!!

She jumped up, grabbed the box and chowed down on the cookies.

(Y/N): Nice to see that you're awake. It's time we got up. We gotta get ready.

They both got up and you all went to the locker rooms and change to get ready.

Yang: So, you seem awfully chipper this morning now that you're up!

Ruby: Yep! No more awkward small talk or "getting-to-know-you" stuff. Today, I get to let my sweetheart do the talking.

She said while stroking her scythe.

Yang: Well, remember, Ruby, you're not the only one going through initiation. If you wanna grow up, you're gonna have to meet new people and learn to work together.

Ruby: "sighs" You sound like Dad!

She sighed as she shoved her weapon in her locker.

Ruby: Okay, first of all: What does meeting new people have to do with fighting? And secondly: I don't need people to help me grow up! I drink milk!

(Y/N): So does meeting me not help with fighting then?

Ruby: I never said that!

Yang: Yeah .......But what about when we form teams?

Ruby: ......Um, I don't know, I... I'll just be on your team or something...

Yang: Maybe you should try being on someone else's team?

Ruby: My dear sister Yang, are you implying that you do not wish to be on the same team as me?

Yang: What? No! Of course, I do! I just thought... I don't know, maybe it would help you... break out of your shell!

Ruby: What the?! I don't need to 'break out of my shell'! That's absolutely.....

Jaune: Ridiculous!

Jaune said as he a passed the sisters while holding a map and looking lost.

(Y/N): The first day and someone appears to be lost. Guess I can't judge. This is a pretty massive school.

Jaune: There's no way I put my gear in locker 636 yesterday! I would've remembered having to count that high! Why does this have to happen today?

You got up and walked to Jaune.

(Y/N): Need help?

Jaune: I'd appreciate it.

He said as you both passed Weiss and a red-haired girl named Pyrrha Nikos.

Weiss: So, Pyrrha, have you given any thought to whose team you'd like to be on? I'm sure everyone must be eager to unite with such a strong, well-known individual such as yourself!

Pyrrha: Hmm... I'm not quite sure. I was planning on letting the chips fall where they may.

Weiss: Well... I was thinking maybe we could be on a team together.

Pyrrha: Well, that sounds grand!

Weiss: Great!

Weiss' mind: This will be perfect! The smartest girl in class combined with the strongest girl in class! Together we will be unstoppable! I can see it now! We'll be popular! We'll be celebrities! We'll get perfect grades! Nothing can come between us now!

Jaune then came between both Weiss and Pyrrha.

Jaune: You know what else is great? Me. Jaune Arc. Nice to meet you.

Weiss: You again?

Pyrrha: Nice to meet you, Jaune!

Jaune: Yeah, yeah.

He continued talking to Weiss while at the same time, slightly posing.

Jaune: So, Weiss, couldn't help but overhear your fondness of me the other day.

(Y/N): Oh dear, this poor boy don't get it.

You whispered to yourself.

Weiss: Oh, you've got to be kidding me!

Jaune: Don't worry! No need to be embarrassed! So, been hearing rumors about teams! I was thinking you and me would make a good one! What do you say?

Pyrrha: Actually, I think the teams are comprised of four students each, so.....

Jaune: You don't say.

He turned to Pyrrha.

Jaune: Well, hot stuff, play your cards right and maybe you could join up with the winning team.

Weiss soon separated the two.

Weiss: Jaune, is it? Do you have any idea who you're talking to?

Jaune: Not in the slightest, snow angel.

Weiss: This is Pyrrha.

Pyrrha: Hello again!

Weiss: Pyrrha graduated top of her class at Sanctum!

Jaune: Never heard of it.

Weiss: She's won the Mistral Region Tournaments four years in a row! A new record!

Jaune: The what?

Weiss: She's on the front of every Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes box!

Jaune: That's you?!

He asked after gasping in excitement.

(Y/N): That's how you were able to know her?!

Jaune: Yeah, but they only do that for star athletes and cartoon characters!

Pyrrha: Yeah, it was pretty cool. Sadly, the cereal isn't very good for you.

Weiss: So, after hearing all of this, do you really think you're in a position to ask her to be on your team?

Jaune: I guess not... Sorry...

He hung his head.

(Y/N): And people on this planet had called my kind Cold.

Weiss: I'm just going to try to ignore you the best I can to avoid losing my sanity.

(Y/N): You've still got some left?

Weiss: Grrrrrrrrrr!

Pyrrha kept speaking with Jaune.

Pyrrha: Actually, Jaune, I think you'd make a great leader!

Jaune immediately brightened back up.

Jaune: D'oh, stop it!

Weiss: Seriously, please stop it. This kind of behavior should not be encouraged!

Jaune: Sounds like Pyrrha's on board for Team Jaune. Spots are filling up quick! Now, I'm not supposed to do this, but maybe I could pull some strings, find a place for you. What do you say?

Weiss: All right, that's a bit too close! Pyrrha, a little help, please?!

Jaune looked back just in time to see Pyrrha's weapon strike him and sent the would-be leader flying.

(Y/N): Oh dear!

Pyrrha: I'm sorry!

An announcement played on the intercom system. Glynda's voice was heard.

Glynda: Would all first-year students please report to Beacon Cliff for initiation? Again, all first-year students report to Beacon Cliff immediately.

(Y/N): Well, I best get going now before things escalate in this room.

(TimeSkip).

You and several other students were standing at The Beacon Cliff, overlooking a forest known as the Emerald Forest.

Ozpin: For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest.

Glynda: Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of "teams." Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... today.

Ruby: What? Ohhh...

Ozpin: These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well.

Ruby then groaned.

Ozpin: That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years.

Ruby: Whaaaat?!

Nora looked to Ren.

Nora: See? I told you!

Ozpin: After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path... or you will die.

Jaune laughed nervously and then gulped.

Ozpin: You will be monitored and graded through the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will reguard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. And one more thing, not matter what, you are all prohibited from attacking (Y/N). Especially with any kind of malicious intent. There will be consequences to face if you do.

(Y/N)'s mind: Well then, that's at least an upside to this whole thing of being out of the teacher's sight.

Ozpin: Are there any questions?

Jaune raised his hand.

Jaune: Yeah, um, sir?

Ozpin: Good! Now, take your positions.

Everyone but you striked a pose on their tile.

Jaune: Uh, sir? I've got, um... a question.

The tile under Weiss rose up into a springboard before rocketing her into the air and over the forest, as the rest of the platforms activated down the line.

Jaune: So, this landing... strategy thing... Uh, wha.....what is it? You're, like, dropping us off or something?

Ozpin: No. You will be falling.

Jaune: Oh, uh, I see... So, like, did you hand out parachutes for us?

Ozpin: No. You will be using your own "landing strategy."

Jaune: Uh...huh... Yeah.

(Y/N): Don't worry, if your Landing strategy doesn't work, I'll catch you.

Jaune: heh .....t.......thanks.

Yang was flung into the air like the rest of the students.

Yang: Woo hoooooooo!

Ruby was flung into the air as well.

Jaune: So, what exactly is a landing strategYYY!...

He didn't get the finish the last part since he was flung into the air.

(Y/N): You know, now that I think about it, I could just jump from this cliff on my own and........

Before you could finish your sentence, you were finally flung up into the air along with everyone else.
