The school day was wearing on. At lunch, Ben and I started texting eachother under the table.

"Mal, did you hear what I said?" Carlos asked me.

"What did you say?"

"I was asking you what you thought about Dude."

"Who's Dude?"

"His dog and the campus mutt." Jay anwsered for Carlos. "We all said what we think, now it's your turn."

Wait, he had a dog? I thought.

"Oh, he's cute." I said, then I went back to texting Ben on my phone.

"What's going on with you Mal?" Evie questioned. "You seem to be happier. Not to mention that you're wearing your hair down."

"Yeah, so."

"You've NEVER wore your hair down on the Isle."

"I'm trying a new hair style."

"No excuse for the sudden change."

"GET OFF MY BACK ABOUT IT!"

Then I stormed off.

"Mal, MAL." It was Ben. "What's wrong?"

"I took your advice about my additude, but my friends noticed that and my change of hair style, so I may have lost it."

"Calm down, okay."

"Okay."

"See you tonight at 6."

"See you tonight."

I went back to the table and Evie, Jay, and Carlos looked at me.

"Not to get on your case Mal, but is there something going on between you and Ben?" Carlos questioned.

"NOTHING IS GOING ON!!" Ben and I screamed at the same time. Apparently his friends were giving him a hard time to. We both stormed off, not saying a word.

Later that night, I got dressed in black combat boots, black jeans, purple tank top, and a black leather jacket with my dragon emblem on the uper left side. I decided to leave my hair down because Ben likes it like that. I it curled slightly to make it seem like I styled it. 5 minuets later, I got a text from Ben. It read : I'm downstairs when you're ready.

"Evie, I'm going out. I'll be back late." I left before she could ask where I was going.

Something was wrong with Ben. The first view I got of Ben kinda shocked me. His hair was messy, like he just got out of bed. He wore blue jeans, a yellow shirt, and an Auradon Prep fleece jacket. When he saw me, his eyes seemed to bulge out of his head, mine probably looked like that to.

"Wow Mal, you look......"

"Same to you Ben."

"Ready to go."

"Yeah."

"Hope you like bikes." Ben said as he tossed me a helmet.

We both hopped onto his Vespa and we went on the date.

"Where are we?" I asked.

"The Auradon Yearly Carnival. It's a big deal for my family. And I want them to meet you."

"BEN! OVER HEAR!"

"Also my friends are here."

"Who's this?" One girl in the group asked.

"Everyone, this is Mal. Mal, these are my friends, Lonnie, Chad, Jane, and Doug."

"Um. Nice to meet you."

"We'll catch up with you later, I want to introduce Mal to my parents."

"We'll all go with, that way we can stay together as a group." Lonnie suggested.

"Whatever works." I said.

"Come on. "

Ben, Chad, Doug, Jane, Lonnie, and I walked over to this booth where a young woman was taking tickets. A guy who's face was clean, but eveything else was covered in pie and whip cream was standing about 20 feet away. That guy was seriously letting people throw pie at his face! On the Isle, we had to either run to throw pie in there face, or sneek up on them to do it. What madness is this!

"Hey Mom." Ben said to the ticket lady. That must mean that the guy was his dad.

"Hi Ben."

"Hey Dad, how's the pie?" King Beast just gave a thumbs up and smiled.

"Who's this Ben." Queen Belle said, pointing to me.

"This is my new girlfriend, Mal. Mal, These are my parents, Belle and Beast."

"Nice to meet you." I responded nervously.

"You're from the Isle, aren't you?" Beast questioned.

"Yes, I am." After I said that, Ben gave me a pie.

"Go ahead, throw it at my dad."

"What! You mean he's not going to run away? And I don't have to sneek up on him?"

Belle looked at me like a crazy person and said "It's just a game Mal, go ahead and throw it."

I looked around to see if anybody was going to stop me, and when they didn't, I threw the pie. It hit Beast right in the face. I was the first one to do so. When I turned around, Lonnie, Jane, Chad, Doug, and Ben gave me a high five.

"Did I do it correctly?"

"Uh, YEAH!" Ben exclaimed.

After that, we said bye to Ben's parents, and went to do our own thing.

"Hey, let's go in here." Jane said.

"What is that place?" I asked.

"The Haunted House. Have you ever been in one?" Ben asked,

"No."

"We can go in together then."

"Okay."

Ben and I went into a car and went on the ride. I screamed about every 10 seconds. Ben consoled me whenever I got scared. At the end of the ride, I was terrified. We waited for Lonnie and Chad, then Jane and Doug.

"Here's an idea, let's not go on any scary rides." Lonnie suggested.

"Agreed." I said.

Next we went on a roller coaster. It was way less scary than the haunted house. It had 4 loop-de-loops and 5 corkscrews. I remember Ben screaming like a baby all the way through the ride.

"Can we get food now?" Doug asked.

I got a food I've never tried before: a bacon cheese burger. I never knew food could taste that good. After living off of rotten meats and curdled dairy for the first 16 years of my life, it was good to have a change.

"Can I talk to you for a minute? It's important." I asked Jane.

"Sure."

"In private?"

"Sure. Excuse us."

When we were alone, I said "Listen closely. My mom wants me, Jay, Evie, and Carlos to steal your mother's wand."

"How did you.."

"You look like her, not the point. The point is that I'm asking you when your mom is using the wand next so.."

"So you can steal it?"

"No, so I can protect it. I'm never going to give into my mom's demands. I just need you to trust me."

"Okay. The next time she's using the wand is at Ben's coronation. She's going to use bless Ben when he becomes King. The whole school gets to go."

"Thank you for the help, Jane."

"Anything to protect Auradon and my friends."

We walked back over to our group.

"Hey, what was that about?" Ben asked.

"Nothing. So, what do you guys want to do now?" I asked.

"FERRIS WHEEL!!" Everyone in the group said.

"What's a Ferris Wheel?" I was currious, sue me.

"It's that thing over there." Ben said as he pointed to a wheel with seats on it.

"Oh, okay."

We paired up in groups of two, me with Ben, Jane with Doug, and Lonnie with Chad. Ben and I boarded the Ferris Wheel in our own cart. When we stopped at the top, Ben did something that suprised both of us, he kissed me. When we were kissing, I swear that you could see sparks flying. That was my favorite ride out of them all.

"I had fun." I said.

"Me to." Ben anwsered.

"I need to get in. Evie is probably worried about me."

"Night Mal." Ben said. Then we kissed for the second time that night.

Then I walked into my dorm and immediately got tackled.
