Landor, the Maker of Monsters, was a mad scientist obsessed with mastering the secrets of life. As the name indicates, he specialized in making monsters, mostly by combining body parts salvaged from various corpses and bringing the results to life.

While trying to bring his first creation to life, a pair of adventurers, Anthony Jack Terrance and his finance, Marcia, sought shelter in Landor's castle. When Landor realized that his creature fancied Marcia, he tried to restrain her. But the monster wasn't keen on seeing a strange man hurt Marcia and turned on his creator. Ultimately, Jack managed to fight off the monster (killing him in the process) and escaped the castle. Somehow, the fight started a fire that quickly spread, burning through the entire structure. Landor survived, but he was burnt so badly that he was reduced to a ghastly, mummy-like creature.

From that point on, Landor kept creating monsters, hoping to create something more controllable and intelligent.

The five year old boy watched his father from a distance. The man in the green cloak stood over something as he was working on something. But it looked big and spiky. Landor was mumbling to himself as he was working on his latest creation. He looked behind him and looked at his small son. He gave him a toothy grin and signaled his son to come to him.

Max gulped nervously and walked to his father.

Landor: Come my child. Don't be shy.

Landor said to his son. Max walked over to him. Landor picked the small child and showed him the monster. It looked like some kinda humanoid rat. It was built like a human. It had a deformed rat face. It had tattered red shorts. Dirty yellow shoes. And blood stained white gloves. The creature roared, ranted, and struggled to escape. But to no avail. It was strapped down with belt like material's.

Max: What's this?

Max asked nervously.

Landor: My child, it's a part of our future. Before you know it, we'll have an army of monsters to control. And the city will now down before us.

Landor said with a smile on his face. Max gulped nervously.
