Chapter One

It was a silent night in blue base, and you couldn't sleep. Tex had left flashlight on in the main room (probably to annoy Church) and the light was flooding through the cracks of your door. You got up from your bed and rubbed your eyes. Looking at the clock next to your bed, you sighed. 2:41.

Your stomach growled quietly, so you went to the kitchen to find some of the snacks Grif gave you a few days ago. Twinkies? How the hell did he get twinkies? It wasn't like you were complaining though. No point in questioning anyway. You eagerly unwrapped the food and ate it, not hesitating.

You heard footsteps from the other room and you froze, your eyes widening. You pressed your self against the fridge in attempts to hide yourself. The light was turned on. Ohshitohshit.

"I can see you, y/n." Tucker snickered, pulling you from the fridge. You groaned in defeat as he snatched the twinkie away from you eagerly.

"Where the hell did you get this?" He muttered, eating the rest of it. You took the time to admire him. His green eyes sparkled in the brightness of the kitchen, the streams of light dancing on his skin.

"Grif." You cleared your throat quickly, hoping he didn't notice you staring at him. He probably did with that arrogant smirk on his face. Tucker surprisingly said nothing, and instead threw the crinkled wrapper in the garbage. You laughed when it landed on the floor next to the trash can and you bent to pick it up.

You felt a slap on your ass.

"Tucker!" You hissed, half serious and half playful. He had ran away, switching off the light in the process. Typical. You blindly grasped at the walls around you I'm attempts to find a light switch.

"Boo." He whispered, smirking against the back of your neck. You could feel the messy bun on your head bop his forehead, making you giggle. Slowly, you turned towards him. His eyes were widened, already anticipating your next move. You swung your leg back into his groin with a small cackle. He cursed as you got away, watching you scramble to your room. The familiar lock was heard.

It was only fair since he spooked you like that. The only things heard were your slightly heavy breathing and the footsteps of the aqua-armored soldier. You unlocked the door when you thought it was safe, tiptoeing to your small bed that was pushed, or you should say squished into the corner of your small room.

"y/n." You could hear Tucker through the room next to you. The walls were pretty thin.

"What?" You whispered back, pressing your ear against the rough wallpaper.

"I hate you." Wow. You could practically hear the grin on his face.

"I hate you too."

And then there was no more sound for the rest of your sleep.
========================

The next morning was busy. Caboose kept pestering Church so you had to take care of him. Tucker was pestering you (although he avoided the subject of last night) so Church had to take care of him. It was usually like that between you and your leader. You do this for me, I'll do this for you. Taking care of your annoying team mates just happened to be the case.

"Can we make pancakes?" Caboose pleaded. How could you resist those big blue eyes? You nodded, ruffling his blond hair like he was a child and grabbing the close to empty pancake mix. It was all you had besides water, and you didn't even know why Church insisted on keeping the fridge since it wouldn't even work.

"Don't burn the house down!" Church called out from the main room. You and Tex chuckled.

"I'm surprised y/n hasn't burned down the house because of her hotness! Bow chicka-" Tex marched to the main room and you heard a loud slap and a bitchy whine. You laughed when Caboose not so quietly cheered. What a dork.

"Caboose, you're going to have to learn how to make pancakes too," You gestured to your face with a smile, "It's making me pretty dirty."

"Don't even think about it." Tex growled when Tucker was about to open his mouth. You and Tex were basically sisters, you both had been in Project Freelancer and you were the only one that tried their best to support her. Of course, you never told Church or Tucker. There was also no point in telling Caboose.

"Okay!" Caboose responded happily, gently grabbing your chin and pulling your closer. You furrowed your brows in confusion. He carefully flicked a piece of dry pancake mix off your cheek.

You blushed, "Thank you." He nodded with a somewhat smug grin on his face. You didn't seem to care that much though. After you were done making the pancakes (with the help of a certain adorable blue soldier) you went into the main room and plopped onto the floor next to Tex.

"Tonight we shall feast." You said in a horrible British accent.

Church sighed in amusement, "It's 7:00 in the morning."

"Oh. I knew that."
