@ everyone who's ever commented on any of my fics: IF YOU ARE COMMENTING, I DAMN WELL EXPECT YOU TO BE VOTING TOO.

nothing pisses me off more than opening wattpad to see 39 notifications, all of them being one person reading through every single fic i have, only commenting on certain parts and not voting at all.

as i have posted many times on my message board, voting is a whole number that us authours can use to tell if people are enjoying the material we put out.

comments could be anything; positive, negative, or neutral. but votes are an overview of how well your material is doing, and how many people enjoy it.

comments don't help me win the wattys, votes do. comments don't help me receive a ranking on wattpad, votes do. comments don't show me how i'm doing, votes do.

it irks me more than anything that i have to write about this. if you read something, you better be giving props to the writer. i have nothing against people voting but not commenting; because i understand people can be shy, or aren't in the mood to comment, etc etc; but really, there is no excuse of why you shouldn't be voting.

i am literally sick of seeing only comment notifications. i have to hold myself back anytime i go to rudely or bluntly respond to a commenter who has not voted, so i opt to not respond at all.
