“Is this better than the Giant Drop?” he murmured behind me.

We’d been at the amusement parks on our vacation, and after Eli had realized that heights and amusement park rides certainly weren’t my thing we had snuck out. That was how fifteen minutes later we found ourselves at a secluded look out place right on the beach.

“It’s beautiful, absolutely stunning.” I breathed watching the sun dance on the water and the waves crash on the rocks, the waters color looking more crystal blue than I had ever seen before.

“That’s great.” He murmured softly.

“Mmmm,” I agreed “I’ve never felt so happy….and just peaceful.” I murmured softly, thinking if I spoke any louder the moment would be ruined. “Is that crazy Li?” I asked looking over my shoulder to catch his gaze, his eyes already on me.

“I feel the exact same way,” he murmured softly “I think we should document such a beautiful experience.” He murmured softly.

I turned around fully to him raising my brow “You do? How?”

Eli walked towards me pulling out a camera before tugging me towards him, smiling and laughing he took a shot of the two of us smiling up into the lens.

Pulling away I mused out loud to Eli “Hey, I don’t think we’ve ever had a photo by ourselves like that ever before.” I said as I reflected.

Eli nodded “It will never be the last though.” He murmured softly, reassuringly.

I smiled “Do you promise?” I asked.

Eli smiled “If you build a castle with me in the sand than I promise.”

“Well we better get started on that castle than shouldn’t we?”

“So, did you have a nice chat with Liam?” I asked coyly as we continued our walk down the street walking towards the party that I was certain I could already hear a couple blocks back.

I had promised myself that I wasn’t to tease or laugh at Mel but as soon as she turned beetroot red I couldn’t hold it any more I burst into tears of laughter, tears running down my face at the sight of Mel, the cold hearted bitch blushing. “Oh my god!” I gasped pointing at her.

“Shut up Ez!” she hissed sending me a death glare.

I just laughed harder, the fact that she had been blushing before not the reason why I was laughing now but purely because I couldn’t stop and I was fining myself faced with an onslaught of giggles and laughter. Clutching my chest I tried not to double over more and wiped the tears from my eyes.

“Guys are you okay? We heard you’re screams!” Liam cried sprinting with Eli close behind towards us to only find me in tears of laughter.

Mel snorted “Oh we’re fine, but Ez has finally lost it. Look at her; she’s laughing over literally nothing!” She cried watching me bemused.

I laughter hard at that “Bull shit!” I laughed “I was laughing because yo-“

Mel’s hand slapped right over my mouth causing me to choke on my laugh and stumble so I fell right on the pavement.

“Shit.” Mel cursed as I hit the ground and holding out her hand.

I shot her a glare “Nup.” I sulked folding my arms and turning away from her and her hand.

“Oh c’mon Ez!” she pleaded.

I shook my head ignoring her stubbornly though mostly just annoying her, Mel after all wasn’t known for her patience at all.

“Look if you get off the floor I'll give you anything you want.” she begged of me, bribery her religion.

I looked up at her “Really?” I gushed like a little kid getting fed ice cream.

Mel rolled her eyes in amusement and the soft sound of laughter reached my ears from the boys “Really, really. Now what do you want?”

“A piggy back ride!” I squealed playing right to my character, I loved acting like a five year old; I was after all a five year old at heart.

Mel smiled at me “Can do, come on.” She said holding out her hand.

I shook my head “Not from you! You’ll just drop me again.” I accused narrowing my eyes at her.

Mel huffed before a devilish smile appeared on her face “Alright, Eli can. Hey, Eli?” she called over to him although he stood not even two meters away watching the entire thing.

I shook my head my mouth agape as I shook my head furiously “No! Its okay, I’ll own break his back! It’s ok-“ I tried pitifully to get out.

It’s not like I didn’t want a piggy back ride, especially off Eli but I rather didn’t want to put him in an awkward position especially after we had nearly kissed. I mean for all I know he could be rather disgusted in me.

“Come on bub.” Eli said smiling down at me as he held a hand out to me.

Blushing slightly I couldn’t help but smile wide as I took his hand with a shy smile and was hoisted up and onto his back. Clinging onto him like a koala I kept my legs and arms around him wrapped tightly as my head sat nestled on his shoulder, my head leaning into Eli’s happily.

“Okay Mel,” I began sending her a devilish smile.

“Oh what now?” she groaned as Liam walked up to her side happily.

“Part two of what I want is for Liam to give you a piggy back ride.” I said a huge smile on my face as I smiled cheekily.

Mel narrowed her eyes at me but before she could even reject it or deny the deal Liam had her scooped up onto his shoulder causing her to cry out in shock and wrap her arms around him like a vice.

“Okay now,” I began smiling at them as Liam smiled at me, his face practically screaming thank you to me.

“What are you planning here bub?” Eli murmured softly, chuckling.

I smiled cheekily at him as flicked his nose causing him to scrunch it up “Nothing.” I sang.

Eli rolled his eyes at me with a smile “Are you drunk already?” he asked.

I snorted “Honey I don’t need alcohol to be drunk. Still, I’d love some Jack Daniels right about now.” I mused thoughtfully getting distracted.

“Oi! Fruit loop!” Liam called out to me.

I gasped “It’s Mrs. Fruit loop to you!” I cried back at him.

Liam shook his head “Eli look after her wont you?” he asked before he started walking with Mel on his back towards the party.

I wolf whistled “Hey Mel? Nice ass!” I jeered.

Mel choked on her words spluttering as she threw me a shocked glance as I just giggled. In all honesty I wasn’t usually like this unless hypo or drunk, so it was quite alarming for Mel since it came on so quickly and randomly. Turning back around to Liam she began talking to him. I watched them smiling smugly at what I had caused.

“Bub, what are you doing?” Eli murmured interested.

I sighed faintly “They should just call me Cupid.” I muttered.

Eli chuckled “I see what you’re doing now.” he murmured, realization dawning on him and slithering through to highlight itself in his voice.

I sighed frowning “Isn’t it annoying when two people obviously like one another and yet they just won’t admit it?” I mused out loud as I studied Mel and Liam.

Eli nodded rolling his eyes “You can say that again.” He muttered.

“You know what we should do?” I began smiling as I jiggled on his back in excitement.

“What’s that?” Eli asked amusement in his tone.

“We should totally pair up and become Cupid’s ninjas! Our mission?” I asked getting really excited and into the idea “To get them together!”

Eli chuckled “You’re adorable.”

I beamed “I know right?” I said as I ruffled Eli’s hair “Now, are you in?”

Eli chuckled “Sure bub.”

I smiled “Okay partner, our first mission.” I said whispering in his ear with a serious and formal British accent.

“Um, Ez are you trying to be James Bond?” Eli asked laughter in his voice.

I stopped in my hush whispers to stop abruptly and purse my lips in thought “Ninjas aren’t British, are they….?” It finally dawning on me.

Eli chuckled “Ninjas are ninjas. Okay, so what’s our mission bub?”

“Oh right,” I said brought back to reality “When I say you’re going to run up to them and together we’re going to push them over into the grass and bushes and as Mel says they can than have hot rabid monkey sex.” I said smiling at my plan.

Eli barked in laughter at that making me smile some more, his laughter was so addictive and beautiful.

“Okay, now!” I cried.

Racing up the footpath of Corey’s house Eli and I reached over and gave the couple a shove. With a squeal and a curse the pair fell into the hedge and toppled over. With the both of us roaring in laughter Eli, still carrying me, ran us inside right into the party.

“Just a little bit more.” I sang holding out how when I meant a little bit that I meant larger than the width of my arms.

Jack, some guy mate of Liam’s watched me wary eyes “Anymore Ez and you’ll be hanging off the ceiling.” He cautioned.

“You’re such a spoiler!” I gasped in horror before snatching the glass out of his hand and skipping and stumbling towards Corey’s lounge room were music was blaring.

The song ‘Super Bass’ was on by Nicki Minaj, a catchy song that had me squealing in delight before flying through the dance floor in search before I found a bunch of girls I was friends with before joining them and dancing like crazy.

I was dancing with the mix of girls letting my hair stay down and have a blast; I’d never felt so relaxed or having so much fun. I didn’t have to bother about Jed or anyone else apart from myself. I felt so free and I was loving it, I loved how beautiful and addictive the music suddenly sounded to me as I swayed my hips, I loved how I couldn’t get any bigger of a smile and I just love how energized and high spirited I felt, I hadn’t felt like this for such a long time.

The most amusing part of this all was that I wasn’t drunk, I still understood everything I was doing, I still had control, sure I had alcohol in my system and more than a thimble full but I knew I was still in a right frame of mind to control myself and make logical decisions.

From afar as the song finished I noticed Eli sitting on the stairs just watching his eyes actually on me when I looked up. Seeing him I waved at him, not in the slightest shy at the time. Eli smiled and waved back at me.

Excusing myself with the girls I skipped over to him leaving my empty glass at some place before walking over to him. Giggling I plonked myself down on the stairs beside him as I caught my breath. Eli chuckled watching me.

Giving him a playful shove with my shoulder, our shoulders brushing I looked at him “What are you doing here? Scouting for some chickies?” I asked him with a giggle.

Eli smiled at me bemused “Sure, why not.”

“Find any you like?” I shouted back at him over the large thump of the music, the walls felt as if they were vibrating and enclosing in on me.

Eli nodded “Only one.” He shouted back.

I smiled “She’s lucky then.” I called back making Eli smile at me.

Sitting in silence for a while I just smiled bouncing my head and feet to the music as I watched all the bodies below me sway. Glancing over I caught Eli’s eye, his eyes solely on me and I couldn’t help but smile wide back at him.

“You look really beautiful tonight.” Eli murmured to me, leaning in so his lips brushed mine and so he could be heard over the heavy thump of the music.

I smiled at him “What are you doing Eli?” I murmured softly at him, curious as to what he was wanting, thinking.

Eli held his hand “Asking for a dance from my girl.” He called back standing up.

Giggling I took his hand thinking nothing of it with the buzz that I had.

Leading me out on the floor ‘Moves Like Jagger’ was on my Maroon 5 and I squealed over excited by the addictive song that was now blaring and reverberating through the houses walls. Clinging to Eli’s hand I tugged him out onto the floor as I my hips fell in pace with the beat and began to move and sway, I was feeling so light.

Watching Eli I could see he was a little tentative as to what he was doing or maybe what we were doing but right here and now I didn’t care. I wasn’t a shy girl right now, I was more confident and at the end of the day I knew what I wanted. What was holding me back though was not knowing what Eli wanted, but I wasn’t holding back by much.

Tugging Eli closer so he was right before, only a breath away I wrapped my arms up and around Eli’s neck not in the slightest hesitating. Friends could get away with doing that, right? If they say they’re drunk I guess they could, I could always lie and say I was utterly blinded, sure I was drunk but I was still in control.

Relaxing and holding my eyes Eli reached out and curled his arms around my waist tugging me closer until I was pressed up against his front, my hips swaying or rather grinding with Eli’s. Tightening my grip around Eli’s neck we began to sway and dance and quite quickly I was intoxicated by the beat as I began to sing to the music not in the slightest caring.

Holding Eli’s gaze the entire time we danced I felt entranced, as if a wave washed over me and pulled me under and I couldn’t reach the surface. His eyes were just so beautiful and my breath would constantly catch when I was around him and how is addictive body warmth fed into me creating heat right through me to the core. How had I resisted him so far?

A greedy part of me wanted him all for myself, by ourselves, alone.

“Would you come with me?” I murmured, my face buried in his neck as the song ended and we stopped dancing but Eli just held me.

“I’d go anywhere with you.” Eli murmured gruffly.

Giggling I towed Eli along with me and into the kitchen where I grabbed a bottle of alcohol and laughing and dancing like a fool I dragged him outside with me.

We’d spent hours on end just walking aimlessly around just talking and chatting, it was beyond beautiful and amazing to me. I hadn’t had the chance of catching up with Eli like this for such a long time and I finally realized what I had been missing out on and realized just how much I had missed it.

Walking under the dark night with the few starts and the small moon we walked hand in hand around random blocks just talking and at times when I gained the courage I'd danced. It was absolutely magical to walk around the deserted streets alone and in the star speckled sky with the man I was truly in love with.

Humming softly to myself Eli chuckled, looking up at him frowning I asked him “What?”

Eli shrugged squeezing my hand and spinning me around like I was a ballerina in the middle of the street, pulling me in I hit his chest I kept myself there. Sighing happily Eli wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me in even deeper and buried his face in my hair.

“I haven’t you seen you this happy, you’re glowing.” He murmured into my hair softly, his hot breath washing across my hair.

I didn’t even bother in denying it, what was the point? I knew I was happier, right now I felt as if I was already single; all I had to do was dump Jed. What shocked me was that it was noticeable, was it seriously that noticeable? Was I acting truly wild?

I brushed the hair behind my ears as I leant greedily into his side “Is it that noticeable?” I asked of him softly.

I could feel Eli smile into my hair before spinning me out and twirling me again, making me smile and giggle at this, it was all so enchanting!

Eli chuckled watching me as I twirled around like a cute little ballerina “I know I don’t ever say it enough, but you’re looking absolutely stunning.” He murmured softly and twirling me around and back into my side as we continued walking down the middle of the road well past midnight.

I smiled up at him before I skipped right back over to Eli as we stood only a house or so up from home, all the lights out, not that I cared; mum and dad were gone for the weekend so the house was empty and deserted.

Smiling up at Eli I wrapped my arms up and around his neck. Eli’s hands wrapped around my waist and pulled me in close as his gaze burned solely into my own, with such an intensity I felt my insides quiver. I could feel Eli’s thumbs rubbing tantalizing massages on my hips and I could only push myself in closer to Eli, hungry for a lot more.

“You looked so beautiful tonight bub.” Eli murmured, his hand reaching up and running the back of his hand along my cheek.

I smiled up at him “This probably sounds stupid, but for the first time in so long….I feel so happy Li,” I murmured giving him my old pet name for when we were younger, when things were more simplistic, easier. “I feel so light and free….it feels so great, it feels just like old times. Like, do you remember that day you and Mel came away with us to that holiday house up on the coast?” I murmured softly.

Eli smiled down at me, the back of his hand still running up the back of my cheek as I leant into his touch, my eyes fluttering. “How could I forget, we went to the amusement parks and you didn’t want to go because-“

“I was afraid of heights.” I cut over him.

“Yeah so instead of going on the rides we walked around the entire time, just goofing around and we snuck out and-“ he began.

“You took me to the beach at some private look out. You know, I don’t think I remember seeing those photos we took.” I mused out loud as I rocked gently from side to side like in the breeze.

Eli chuckled softly, slightly sheepishly “I, uh, actually have them at home.” He murmured softly, his breath cascading across my face, his taste and scent intoxicating me.

I smiled cheekily at him my fingers running through his hair “Should I be worried that you have photos of me?” I teased.

Eli chuckled, a laugh of relief mingled there too “Would you be worried if I told you that there is a photo from that day, of you and I, sitting right on my bedside table in a frame?” he murmured softly his face leaning in closer.

My breathing hitched at his close proximity as I tugged him closer around his neck and I smiled goofily up at him as I titled my head slightly. A bigger smile grew on my face as I saw Li’s eyes flicker to my lips and back up to meet my eyes.

“You know you want to.” I whispered as Li brushed my hair behind my ear.

“What?” he breathed, his hot breath tickling my lips as I held his burning gaze that was tender and hot, I didn’t know how I had lasted so long.

Reaching up I placed my hand on his cheek my eyes this time flickering to his lips “You know you want to kiss me.”

But it didn’t matter, because my lips had already met his.

Sorry it took a while, I was trying to perfect it, did I? Do you like the cliffhanger?
