Makas pov

I walked around the town. Everyone was so friendly except for a few people though. It isn't perfect but it's good enough. I looked around trying to find a place to stay. A gust of wind came and my hat flew off.

I couldn't just let it go it was an essential to my disguise. So like any crazy person I chased after it. I ran reaching my hand out trying to grasp it but failed every time. I chased after it all the way across town.

I was pretty far but still close enough when it finally fell to the floor. I grabbed it and put it back on. "You're not getting away this time" I said to it even though I knew it wouldn't talk back. I turned around and saw the whole village.

It was a beautiful view. I saw it all from here. I closed my eyes and smiled and felt the breeze. I've never felt so alive. Like I could do anything. I was free here.

I yelled at the top of my lungs and laughed and fell to the floor laying there laughing. I calmed down and got up and saw a big house. It was an old fashioned Japanese style house.

The biggest of the whole time. It looked wonderful from here. I heard something and turned around. It was a small Japanese style house and a fat cat.

It meow at me and I smiled. I walked to the house and petted the cat. It was an abandoned house. Not much but it'll have to do. I picked up the cat and looked at it. He meow again and I smiled. "I'll call you rollo" I said.

He meow again and I petted him and put him down. He followed me inside as I studied the house. Not the best place but I can work with it I thought.

I pulled out a blanket from my bag and layed it down on the floor and layed down. Rollo layed next to me and stayed close to me. I fell asleep next to rollo happy about my new home.

-Next day-

I felt light hit my face and I rubbed my eyes. The light burned my eyes so I opened them blinking until my vision cleared up.

I was met with a pair of red eyes. My eyes widened and I quickly stumbled to get up. "Yep she's alive" he said. "Oh thank goodness sweety are you okay?" The woman asked.

I tried to speak but nothing came out. "John she's not answering" she said. The man next to her came up to me. "Now don't worry we don't bite" he said. I stared at them for a while.

A boy about my age with red eyes and white hair,another boy who looks like him but taller and darker hair, a woman with violet eyes and black hair, and a man with white hair and green eyes.

How could I get caught on the first day I'm here?! I thought. "Um who are you?" I asked.

"We're the Even's family my name is Ellis my husband John and my sons wes and soul what are you doing here?" She said.

I didn't know what to say. I felt rollo rub against my foot. Maybe he was telling me these people were trust worthy?

So I followed my instinct and told them everything. "Well why don't you live with us?" Ellis said. "WHAT!?" The whole family said.

"Oh come on the poor girl shouldn't live that way with her father and we have more then enough room at the house" Ellis said. "B-but" John said. "No buts about it she's staying with us now what's you're name?" She said sweetly.

"Maka Albarn" I said. "So lovely and don't worry you're cat my come too" she said smiling. She helped me up and started dragging me to her house.

It was the big house I saw yesterday. "Don't worry you'll love it here maka" she said her face bright as a Christmas tree.

So just like that I was going to live with the Even's family.
