(AN: Long time, no update! Sorry for the wait, y'all!)

VJ's POV

"Please. I'm begging you, all of you, don't embarrass me in front of my family." Cole Keli'i said. We were all on a plane heading to Hawaii, Cole wanted us to meet his family and stay there for the summer.

"Won't be a problem. I'm a perfect little angel." I said, being slightly sarcastic and sipping on my Coca-Cola.

"Yeah. No. Who's in charge of VJ, again?" Lauren Hudson said jokingly.

Cole laughed and said, "But in all seriousness, guys, I'm really excited you are all meeting my family and seeing my home. It's truly a beautiful place, and my parents and older brother are really nice and funny, you're gonna love them."

"I'm really excited to meet them. Just one question- are you out as trans to your family? Just so we know what name and pronouns to use in front of them." Cerys Ahmad said. Cole nodded and said, "Oh yeah, they know about me being trans and they're cool with it. The name Cole and he/they pronouns is fine."

We all nodded and then the pilot announced we would be starting our descent in Honolulu. We all looked to each other and squealed softly, excited for what was to come.

"You didn't tell me Hawaii was this hot!" Cerys said, pulling her long black hair up in a ponytail and wiping sweat off of her forehead.

"That should be common knowledge, and also, you're wearing leggings. Of course you're overheated, Einstein." Cole said sarcastically.

"I think the weather's perfect." Lauren said, putting on a pair of chic black sunglasses. "It's warm, there's a nice breeze-"

"Trade winds." Cole said. "Common in Hawaii."

"As I was saying. Nice breeze, it's not raining-"

"Yet."

"Coleman!" Lauren yelled. Cole laughed and said, "What? Hawaii has the weirdest weather patterns, that's all I'm saying! The only positive of that is that there's a pretty likely chance you'll see a rainbow at least once a day. And also, the water is beautiful." 

We all took off our shoes and stepped into the cool, clear Waikiki Beach water. 

"It's beautiful." I said, letting the waves crash over my feet. Cole smiled and said, "I know, I love it here. It's my home and I wouldn't trade any of it for the world."

We all smiled and then Cerys gasped. "You guys, remember how Cole said that there's a pretty likely chance we'd see a rainbow at least once a day?" 

We all nodded, having a slight idea of what was coming. Cerys smiled and then pointed to the sky. "Well, look up. There's a rainbow now."

We all looked up and there it was, shooting across the sky. Lauren took a picture of it and we were all eternally grateful, we needed someone there to save the moment forever.

"E komo mai, guys, welcome to Hawaii."
