Your MC is having a frequent nightmare of a stranger (love interest/friend) getting hit by a bus outside of your MC's business. It always starts the same, with your MC and love interest/friend chatting about the day. The love interest/friend pays, and leaves. Moments later, your MC would look up just in time as a bus runs them down. Your MC would Bolt awake immediately afterwards.

After this goes on for a few months, your MC is it work. They see a familiar face walk up to the front desk, where your MC works. It's the love interest/friend. Heart bounding and trembling, the conversation goes exactly how the dream would. Everything was the same as the love interest/friend turned and walked towards the door.

Lillith would straight up jump over the counter and distract Cassandra. Even if it meant making herself look stupid. She would talk about an upcoming event, or just say something about how Cassandra looks familiar.

Cassandra would have asked Lillith to stay for a minute, before she'd even walk towards the doors. She would wait until after the bus drives off, before letting the conversation drop.

Theo would have escorted Lillith out of the building, making up an excuse that they've seen someone who comes out and mugs the people who leave the building. He would make sure Lillith waited till the bus passed before letting her walk across the street.
