Natalie is the younger sister of The Next Step studio owner Nick who bought the studio from Kate after she got a role on a reality tv show and after her studio looses Regionals which has never happened she decides she needs to go to a better studio re build her reputation.

So she decide to move to Toronto where The Next Step is after hearing her brother had bought The Next Step dance studio and they are known for there internationals reputation but with there past will Nick accept her in A Troupe. Natalie had always been a great dancer ever since she was a small child which made Nick jealous because he loved dance however he was bad at it which meant that he never go his parents attention as they were always taking his sister to dance competitions.
