Radha is mad that the guys let Sam get slapped by Riya, but Sam admits that it was her fault. After sometime ,their class is suddenly interrupted by Aayush. He comes to call Sam and she accompanies him, scared of getting scoldings  for interfering in his personal life. But she gets surprised when he takes her to Riya and confronts her  to apologise to Sam for her rude behaviour. Initially, Riya opposes but obliges later, very reluctantly. This behaviour of Aayush  standing up for Sam makes her  fall madly in love with him even more. He tells Sam that he had always admired her courage. Moreover, he offers her an important part in the eco club, which makes Sam happy . It is also revealed that Aayush feels a sudden spark for Sam, but he is determined not to love anyone again and get his heart broken by doing so.

Sameera's POV

It had been a few weeks since the Riya-Aayush incident. Aayush had given me  loads of work in the club.The seniors in the club were very busy with  stuff such as romancing with their lovers, bunking classes to watch movies, hang out and what not ! Apparently Aayush was not aware of all this because he was gearing up for the state level basketball tournament and I got stuck with all the work. I couldn't blame him, the poor soul and I missed him a lot.  I hardly met him , until when I was going to the club to finish some of the work,

"Hey Sam!", someone called out.

I turned back to see Aayush approaching . My heart raced . He wore a white shirt, with rolled up sleeves and denims. He looked breathtakingly handsome.

I awkwardly grinned at him and greeted,"Hi Aayush!"

"Long time no see? How is the work in the club going on?", he asked.

I wanted to scream at him that I was fed up working for the stupid club and that I regretted joining it. Instead, "Awesome Aayush !", were the words that came out of my mouth.

 Stupid girl , I scolded myself.

"Great!", he smiled and we  sped towards the club. "See. That is why I have given you such a huge responsibility."

I rolled my eyes , but luckily he didn't see.

"We have work to do!", he said and sped away to the club. I had to run to catch up with him.

"We are going to have a small hill station tour  soon. You have to be the event planner.It will be a 2 day tour probably. We will have trekking, boating, visit to tribal communities in the hills. We will be going in the next semester mostly. "

"Sounds great! But where?"

"The place is not yet decided, which is why we are going to have a meeting today with all the members, in the evening."

"What?", I blurted out , rather loudly. I was already tired and now there was a meeting.

"Huh?",Aayush looked at me, puzzled.

"Nothing. I was just thinking about my transport.The meeting will probably take all evening right?", I managed to lie.

"You are right. No worries. I'll drop you, if you are fine with it."

Yaay! I silently screamed in joy! A car ride with my sweetheart !

"Sure.Thank you", I smiled.

The meeting took place in the evening. Almost all members turned up when they came to know that we were going on a trip. It was like a parliament meeting, with half the people arguing with the other half, some of them playing in their phones etc

I wasn't even listening to what they were arguing about.I sat in the corner of the room, half sleepy.I leaned back on the chair and my eyelids slowly drooped.

Aayush developed a pair of wings and horns on his head. Was he an angel or a devil? He chased me and suddenly I was standing at the edge of a precipice. Riya came from behind and pushed me down the cliff . She screamed that I separated Aayush from her and that my life was going to be miserable.I fell down the cliff  screaming and I heard Aayush calling me out , distantly.

"Sameera.....sameera......".

I woke up with a jerk. I had been dreaming. Shucks!

I saw Aayush looking at me , shocked!  "Are you alright?", he asked slowly.

"I am sorry Aayush. I shouldn't have slept during the meeting.", I said , as I got up from the seat. I looked around to see the place empty, except for the both of us.

"You have been asleep for a long time.The meeting was over half an hour ago", he calmly said.

I stared at him blankly. I felt extremely stupid, to sleep like a small kid, during a meeting.

He laughed. I still stood with a blank expression on my face.

"I am glad that you dozed off. They were fighting like cats and dogs and I had to use some abusive words to calm the guys down.Thank God you didn't hear  it!", he grinned.

Aayush, use abusive words? He doesn't seem like such a person, I thought.

"You could have woken me up right after the meeting."

"Well, you were fast asleep and I had some work. So, I just thought I'll let you sleep till then, until, you screamed in your sleep."

"Did I scream?", I asked him, shocked.

"Yes. Nightmares eh?"

I couldn't tell him my dream . How could I ?

"Yeah. I guess.", I grinned awkwardly.

"Shall we leave then?"

"Absolutely", I said and picked up my bag.

As we walked towards the parking lot, I asked him,"Are you sure you are not mad at me for sleeping?". I felt very guilty.

"No Sam! I am not. You didn't kill anyone, you had just slept.", he chuckled.

He seemed to be cheerful . I didn't know why. Did Riya patch up with him or something? Can't  be !

The sky was dark  and it seemed sure that it would rain. We got into the car and he sped away.It was a 30 minute drive to my house.There was heavy traffic and we were stuck in it for about an hour. There was loud thunder and it started raining.

Aayush had turned on the radio and there was this RJ,  who was asking a common question to all the callers.

What would your ideal life partner be like?

There were many funny replies, some serious ones, some were prejudiced and it went on. Aayush had been silent since we had started from college. I was dying to talk to him, but didn't know what to talk ,let alone about the trekking plan that we were going for. Now, I got the perfect question for him.

"Say, Aayush, what would "your" ideal life partner be like?", I asked him.

Aayush didn't reply for a moment.

Oh no ! Have I touched a chord? Oh Dear God !

"Well....she must cook well."

Cook? Duh ! I mentally checked off the word "cook" from the Sameera's attribute list. I only enter the kitchen when my mother cooks, to check what she is preparing.

"She must be a family girl....."

Another attribute off the list. Guys !!

He continued, "Then she should be the one to give me butterflies in the stomach."

Butterflies? I seriously doubt if I could give him that.

"She must be like a mother to me."

That Mister, I am perfectly capable of. I thought.

"And?"

"I think that is pretty much of it."

"Don't you want her to be pretty and beautiful?", I purposefully asked him.

"I believe that love is blind ! It doesn't depend on looks. Why? Do you want your husband to be very much good looking and handsome? "

"No . I don't . My beliefs are the same as yours."

He smiled and asked, " May I know why you asked this question to me?". He put more emphasis on the word "me".

"Well...I just wanted to know if you were like the  typical  kind of  boys."

He nodded and again silence followed for the entire ride. I looked out the window and enjoyed the rain. How romantic to be in the same car as your crush and a rainy climate. But he would not talk !

After about 20 minutes, we reached the corner of my street. I got out from the car, went around to speak to Aayush. I have to do this now, my inner voice told me. He was about to reverse the car but I knocked on his window and asked him to open it. He opened the window and said,"No need to thank me for dropping you .Get inside soon. You'll catch a cold."

 I put my arms over the windowsill and bent down to look at his face. My heart beat furiously and my hands were shivering.

"I have to tell you something. I don't know how to propose but I'll tell you this- I have absolutely no idea how to cook, but I'll learn it for you and I'll make sure you that you never go hungry. I am not a family girl, but I will be the best daughter- in-law to your parents, the best mother to our children. No love in this world can be greater than a mother's love, but I am sure I can take care of you, like your mother has been, all these years and we will bring up our son like a perfect gentleman, just as your mom has brought you up. I love you !  Your boldness, your caring nature, your personality and your beautiful soul.", I said to him, while looking in his eyes the whole time.

"Give me a positive reply soon.", I said and I ran away to my house, without even glancing back.

Aayush's shocked expression when I said all this to him is etched in my mind. I could never forget that.

I rushed as fast as I could inside and went directly to my room .I was shivering since I got wet in the rain fully.

"Have you come home? What kept you so long?", Mom shouted from the kitchen.

"Had work , Mom. Leave me alone for sometime please.", I cried back.

I fell on my bed, clutching my hair.

What the devil have I done ? I just proposed my love to Aayush. Damn ! I should have waited for sometime . What would he have thought about me? He just had a break up. How could I expect him to get in a relationship so soon. What have you done Sameera? What is going to happen ? A thousand questions ran through my mind.

I got up and paced around the room. I was restless and my heart still beat fast.

I immediately picked my phone and called Karthik. After a few rings, he attended the call.

"Sameera? ", he asked lazily.

"Karthu, you won't believe what just happened !", I spoke hastily.

"Cool down ! Take a deep breath and tell me what happened."

The Idiot ! I scolded him. For his sake , I took a "deep breath" and told him everything that happened.

"Sameera! I think you are in trouble! "
