19. The forest

Now, Kunti and her five sons were in the forest, hiding from Dhirtarashtra and his sons till they were powerful enough to take their Kingdom back because after all, Yudhisthir was supposed to become the king. It was his duty to take over the kingdom before Duryodhan does or else Hastinapur or even the entire Aaryavart can suffer.

They were staying in the forests of Panchal, the half of Panchal where Drupad still ruled. Meanwhile, Drupad had performed a yagna or Hindu rituals for getting a son who could defeat guru Dronacharya. From the yagna kund, Dhristadyumna emerged. Behind Dhristadyumna, a woman was also there. She was named Draupadi because she was the daughter of Drupad. Maybe, this is also a result of those short stories. I'm not sure about this right now but I promise that I will tell every short story, just because they're fun.

As you can see in the above video, I messed up the birth of the hundred Kauravas too. May God forgive me for spreading false information. Anyways, after the birth of Draupadi, it was decided that they have to win the Swayamvar of Drupad and get Draupadi. So, it will be peaceful on his side. If Yudhisthir becomes the next king of Hastinapur, Drupad won't attack Hastinapur for revenge. This gives Yudhisthir more chances to be selected as the next king because after all, he was the eldest, he knew the scriptures and he was also immune to a powerful enemy and that's Drupad because no one could defeat Drupad except Arjun. Yes, none of the brothers could defeat Drupad except Arjun, not even Bheem. That's how powerful Drupad was and when the Pandavas were supposed to be dead, Duryodhan must be sweating because he will be the next king and will need to fight Drupad.

So, if Yudhisthir goes to Hastinapur, the kingdom should be given to him without any questioning. That's what the plan was. Now, they were living in a forest as Brahmins or sages and would live on alms. The alms would be divided in seven parts, for Kunti, the five brothers and one extra for Bheem because he needed to keep his strength intact. They used to get enough food afterwards because the people living there, the tribe living there were facing a demon.

So, they had to give a sacrifice to demon so that the demon doesn't kill everyone. Kunti tells the chief, "Bheem will go."

Now, in this verse, Yudhisthir asks her, "Why are you endangering our only chance of winning the Swayamvar and getting our kingdom back?"

Use any Mahabharat you want, you will find this verse which can be translated badly. Anyways, Bheem defeated that demon, despite being weak due to hunger and the tribal people made sure to feed them well. They didn't go to the Swayamvar so that Bheem can eat fully. They went there so that they could get Hastinapur because if Duryodhan becomes the king, the entire mahajanapad will suffer.

Now, in Hastinapur, Duryodhan is appointed to be the next king. So, if he wants to become a king, he needs to be married. So, he goes to Panchal while convincing his friend Karna to come with him. Now, he has met Karna in Dronacharya's gurukul. Apparently, Karna was never Kunti's son. This short story was added to increase the drama in the story of Mahabharat. I am feeling like deleting this book and writing it again with all the correct facts. Please tell me if I should do this or not.

Karna was the son of a charioteer of Bhishma and he studied with guru Dronacharya too. Surprised? There will be more stories like these, just wait and watch. So, Duryodhan had praised and convinced Karna to accompany him to the Swayamvar so that he could fight for Duryodhan. That's my theory because some verses are added which say that Karna was Kunti's son but you need sperm to make a child and you need to be pregnant. Without that, child is not going to be born. So, most probably what we can say is that he was truly a sutputra and since there were no castes back then, he took education from guru Dronacharya and maybe Parshuram because there is one more eternal truth. Your body can't be alive for more than five hundred years. The stories which have Parshuram in both Ramayan and Mahabharat is like a divine character whereas he was a Brahmin who was forced to take weapons after seeing the adharm around him in the puranas. He was added here just for drama or it's a possibility that Bhishma and Dronacharya had a guru who was named Parshuram too. He was not God but still godly because he fought adharm without caring for his Verna.

I wonder if Karna's story of kavach kundal are fake too, just to increase sympathy for that sutputra who actually got the chance to become a king. He was not unlucky.

THOSE WHO ARE NOT INTERESTED IN MY BLABBERING, READ FROM HERE. I JUST NEEDED TO VENT OUT AND SLAM THOSE PEOPLE WHO APPLY SINDOOR (VERMILION) ON A BAL BRAHMACHARI (A CELEBATE) AND CALL A JANEUDHARI (A HOLY THREAD BEARER) AND THE ONE WHO KNEW VEDAS A MONKEY. IF YOU ARE A SANATANI AND YOU DON'T KNOW THE VEDAS, YOU ARE A MONKEY. ACTUALLY, THE BLABBERING WAS NECESSARY 🤔. GO AND READ IT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS ANYTHING.

Okay, long speech, sorry. So, Duryodhan and Karna met in the gurukul and Duryodhan had befriended him immediately, seeing his skills and thinking that Karna would help him with killing the Pandavas. Meanwhile, on the other hand, a sage (I forgot his name, like always) was told by the Pandavas to keep an eye on the announcement of the Swayamvar.

I know, nothing much happened here but I'm sure that lot of things got clear and I got to vent out some of my steam. About the birth of Karna, Draupadi and Dhristadyumna, I am not completely sure about it. I have not found enough verses about these incidents. If I get the chance to read Mahabharat and if I find out that I was wrong, I will come here and change these incidents but I think these happened this way. Like, Dhristadyumna was born for killing Dronacharya because he should have had the whole of Panchal and from that thinking, this story came forth or maybe he really came out of a hawan kund, which is quite nonsensical because it is 400°C inside a hawan. You can't even pass through it. So, these are my crazy theories about things but one thing is for sure. They wanted their kingdom back because they knew what would happen if Duryodhan would become the king and also, going to the Swayamvar was all planned...

Anyways, time for a short story. When Draupadi came out of the hawan kund, Drupad refused to accept her because he just wanted a boy to kill Dronacharya. He cursed her that she will only have sadness in her life and threw her out of the palace. She was roaming the forest, heartbroken and crying when she found a chariot with a peacock feather on the flag. She saw a beautiful dark man come out of the chariot and didn't know how to react.

"Come, I will take you home," Krishna said.

"Who are you? Did my father send you?" Draupadi asked cautiously.

"I defeated your father and he can keep his kingdom only on the condition that he has to accept you," Krishna said with a smile.

"Who are you and how do you know me?" she asked once again, still with her guard up.

He went towards her and placed his hand on her head, "Your brother. I promise to protect you with all my life and energy."

She smiled and went back home. Krishna ordered Drupad to arrange a Swayamvar for her and said that he will set the challenge.

I feel like this story is not real. I mean, who will reject a Laxmi (girl) in his home when there was a constitution of the manusmriti and especially when she came out of the havan kund which was made to destroy guru Dronacharya, his enemy? But still, I felt like adding it. I hope you liked this chapter.

Btw, you can't have sex with a river. When you look at the Mahabharat, it's not Ganga, it's another name. In the next verse, it says that the lady was an incarnation of Ganga. I need to join my hands in front of those who created this short story. Really? Anyways, I won't speak more. Looks like Shantanu had fought with her and she left with the son and came back twenty five years later. I will confirm it after I read the Mahabharat but I think that Bhishma was not son of Ganga and when he asks Arjun that he wants his mother and he shoots an arrow to the ground so that Bhishma could drink the water on his arrow bed, I feel like there has been some mistranslation because he could have said motherland or something like that. I need to read it and I will confirm. For now, that's it.

The next chapter will be on yagyas especially. Ramayan mentions that Dashrath didn't have any son till he was very old but then he performed a yagya and he got sons. Something similar to that can be seen in the Mahabharat. So, what is the science behind these yagyas and what it really means that they came out of the yagya kund or that they took birth because of yagyas which be explained.

Although you guys may feel like I'm twisting this historical drama, I'm sorry but I'm mentioning every story that I know about the Mahabharat. It is in your hands if you want to believe it or not.
