Chapter One: Fight With The Pink Haired Boy
Fight with the Pink Haired Boy
I pushed open the Guild's double doors and came to a complete halt.
The whole Guild was in an uproar. Some people were either screaming or shouting, while others were cheering. And right in the middle of it all were two boys who were locked in a battle. One boy, with spiky pink hair, and a scaly looking scarf, yelled at the other boy. "Come at me, Ice-Pervert!" The other boy, who had black hair...and was only in his boxers, yelled, "You're dead, Flame-Head!" With that the boy threw a punch and hit the pink haired boy right across the jaw. The boy flew back...straight for me!
Crash!
His body slammed into mine and we both fell back. I gasped for breath and the boy who was on top of me, scrambled off me. Without looking back he ran forward toward the black haired boy, with his fists on fire. With a yell he brought his flaming fist up and it connected with the other boys chest. The two boys continued their battle as I lay there, staring wide-eyed at them. The hell!
This was Fairy Tail?
My eyes fixed on the pink haired one who was spitting fire. I studied the boy who was now dodging a blow from the black haired boy.
A Fire Mage.
Suddenly a girl with sunlight golden hair rushed over to my side. "Oh, are you alright? I'm so sorry for those two idiots!" She exclaimed as she lent me her hand and I took it. She looked normal enough. "Hi, I'm Lucy! Are you here to join Fairy Tail?" I blinked and nodded. "I suppose so." I told her, eyeing the two Mages, who were now throwing insults at each other.
"Let me take you to the master then if he approves! We can go get get your Guild Mark." I smiled and nodded. While we walked over to the bar, Lucy asked what my name was.
"It's Freya." I told her with a little smile. Blend in. Make them believe. She smiled back and brought me to a woman with white hair who was working the bar. Beside the woman was a little old guy with a small brown staff. Was he the Master? He didn't look like someone who would hold such a high position.
Lucy answered my question for me, "Master, we have a girl here who wants to join!" Lucy said excitedly. The Master of Fairy Tail looked at me and smiled. "Have you, my child? Well, I can tell you that you made an excellent choice. Here at the Fairy Tail Guild we-" He was cut off when a chair came flying his way.
He didn't see it coming. It hit him right in the side of the head. The Master went down and he started to mumble incoherent things. I think I heard him say, "Mira...nice body..." or something. What the hell is wrong with this Guild!
Lucy yelped and started to shake the Master. "Master! Oh no! Master, are you okay?" I looked to my right to see where the flying chair of death had come from. My eyes landed on the pink haired boy once again. His fists were still on fire and he was now picking up chairs and throwing them at the naked boy.
I let out a shocked breath. Then I smirked, this Guild was wild, and I liked it. It would give me the cover I needed. My attention was taken away from the two boys when a soft voice asked, "Hi, are you new?" the voice asked. I turned to see that the soft voice belonged to the beautiful white haired girl. I nodded.
Then she got out this stamp looking thing and asked me what color and place I wanted it. I cocked my head at her, confused, and a little cautious. Could it contain some kind of poison? "I thought the Master wanted to ask me some questions?" Isn't that how it usually went with these type of things?
The girl shook her head with another smile. "The Master seemed to like you...before he was knocked out." My eyebrows shot up, she made it sound like this happened often. I chuckled under my breath.
Oh, yes, this place would do.
After I studied the stamp with careful eyes, I told her black and on my chest.
She stamped the area and I thanked her. Lucy then turned to me, "Let me introduce you to everyone!" she took my hand and led me to a table where a red headed woman sat, watching the boys fight, and eating her cake. Within seconds my eyes had ranked over her and I had already begun to process and file away the information I had on this powerful Mage.
Lucy told me that the red head was named, Erza Scarlet. I smiled and waved at her. "I'm happy that you decided to join our Guild." She told me. Just then a freaking table came flying at her, before I could warn her, she raised her hand, and caught the table! Her cake however, fell to the floor. Ruined. Lucy covered her mouth with her hand and took a step back. I decided to follow her lead.
"If you would excuse me." Erza muttered and stood up with fluid grace. She looked down at her cake then she said darkly, "Natsu...Gray..." The boys stopped fighting and stared at her with wide eyes. Then they started to tremble with...fear. All of a sudden the pink haired boy ran, shouting over his shoulder, "She's all yours, Popsicle!" The black haired boy, still with no shirt on, shot daggers at the retreating boy. "You basta-!" but he was cut off when Erza suddenly stood behind him. "Gray..." 'Gray's' body locked up and before he could get away, Erza had him by the ear. She then yanked on it hard and she then pointed to her destroyed cake. "My beautiful cake was destroyed, Gray."
Gray started to apologize rapidly when Erza raised her fist and smashed it on top of his head. The poor boy slumped to the ground, out cold. A blue thing with white wings zoomed across to Gray's limp body and shouted, "K.O!" Wait, was that a cat!?
My eyes narrowed, no...an Exceed.
Lucy noticed my stare and she smiled at my shocked look. "Yay, that was my first reaction too. That's Happy. He's Natsu's best friend and partner." I exhaled, "Is that the boy who ran?" Lucy giggled, "That would be him." After Lucy introduced me to everyone, except of course, Natsu, who had not come back yet, and Gray, who was still out cold. Also the Master was still out as well. After I had met everyone, I then retreated to relax at the bar with Mira Jane, the girl who had given me my Guild Mark. Who knew putting up a nice act could drain you so?
My eyes had just fluttered closed when the Guild's doors burst open. I sighed and cracked open an eye.
Just when I was beginning to relax...
I turned on my stool and looked at the entrance. Standing there was Natsu with a big grin on his face. "I heard there's a new person who joined, where is he!" I blinked. Ah, excuse him. Did I look like a man to him? I stood up with a shrug. "Her. You mean." I said with a smirk and a hand on my hip.
The boy looked me up and down, then with a smirk of his own, pounded his fist into the palm of his hand.
"Fight me!" He yelled at me. I tilted my head, confused. "Did I do something wrong?" I asked, I replayed my entrance, and sought for the source of where I had messed up.
My search ended without me finding a flaw.
"No, sweetie, he does that to everyone who joins." I spared a glance at Mira as I processed this new information. I took a step forward, cracked my neck, and closed my eyes. "I don't think you want to fight me." I muttered, with my eyes still closed. I could hear him chuckle, "I think I do. I'm all fired up!" He shouted. "Very well then." I smiled, I did warn him.
He flew at me.
Just before his flaming fist connected with my jaw, I snapped open my eyes, and leaned left. He passed me by harmlessly. I slowly turned with a bored expression on my face. "Are we finished here?" I asked him, if he was unable to land a hit the first time, then he didn't deserve my time. By now we had the whole Guild's attention, even Gray, who had finally woken up, was watching. Natsu grinned, "Not even close." He flew at me again, this time he went low, and brought up his leg in a deadly arch. I simply caught his foot. You could hear the whole Guild let out a gasp or they sucked in their breath.
Natsu widened his eyes and with a growl, pushed off the ground with his hand, and tried to hit me again. His fist was burning a bright red and orange now, he was getting angry. I itched to grab my daggers and fight using them. But, then I would give away my power, and possible my identity.
So I dodged again and came up behind him. With my palm open I struck and hit him in the back. He staggered forward and turned to me with a frustrated look on his face. I was getting bored. Time to end this. I rushed forward and kicked out, aiming for his stomach.
He leaned back to escape my kick. His scarf fluttered in the air as he leaned back and it caught my eye. My hand shot out and grabbed it. Before he could do anything I unwound it from around his neck and took it. His eyes flashed with anger, "Give that back!" I studied the scarf, ignoring him.
Was that dragon scales? Rare. I looked up at him and muttered, "You shouldn't wear this." I could see a muscle jump in his jaw as he stared at me. "Someone could easily grab it and break your neck or choke you with it." I stated calmly. I didn't know why I was giving him this knowledge. Why should I care if he lives or dies?
My fingers danced along the white scales. Why should I?
"Give. It. Back!" He roared, his anger reaching its limit. Without warning he ran at me and I was fully waiting for his attack. What I didn't except was for him to crouch and tackle me.
I hit the Guild floor with a loud thud and he was on top of me. He wretched the scarf out of my hand and put it back on. I struggled to get him off of me, but he was too heavy. With a knee on either side of me, he easily pinned me, grabbed my wrists, and put them over my head. My back bowed off the ground and we were almost nose to nose with each other. We were both breathing hard. Our chests rubbed against each others as we both fought for breath.
He stared at me for a moment, something flashed in his eyes, then he slowly let go of my wrists. He sat up and rolled off me. I stayed on the floor for a moment longer. I could still feel his warm body on top of mine. A hand came down and I looked up. Natsu was extending his hand toward me. I stared at his hand for a moment then grabbed it.
He pulled me up with ease and too my surprise, gave me a closed eyed smile. "Lets fight again, okay?" With that he dropped my hand and turned around. Cheers and clapping echoed all around me. But...all I could really focus on was him. His Guild Mates came over to tell him what a good fight it was. I watched as he smiled and put his hands behind his head. He acted like nothing had just happened. I let out a breath and smiled.
I was most definitely going to have some fun here...
