Chapter 6: Not My Specialty
Not My Specialty
My eyes flashed open when I heard a woman cry out. I lazily looked to my right and a few feet down the aisle was a man holding a magic using gun. My eyes flashed to Natsu who was still asleep.
"Be quiet! You really don't want to wake the baby." There's a baby? I looked to my right then to my left. Besides the gunman, the woman, the baby, Natsu, and I were the only ones in the train cart. With an annoyed sigh I stood up from my seat. "Oi, you with the gun." I said as I rubbed my eyes and yawned.
The gunman spun and pointed his gun at me. I blinked at it lazily. "Sit down, girl!" He told me with a wave of his gun. I rolled my eyes and began to walk toward him. "Oi! Didn't you just hear me, girl? I said sit down!" I waved my hand in the air, "Yay, yay, I heard ya."
The gunman snarled, "I'm not playing. I'll shoot you and this woman." I reached up and played with my necklace as I stared the man down. "Oh, darling, I don't have a doubt that you won't."
I took another step forward and he reached a hand down and grabbed the woman. He pulled the woman up by her brown hair and she went with a cry of pain. In her arms was a little baby wrapped in a blanket.
I just blinked when he put the gun to the side of the woman's head. Tears were streaming down her face as she looked at me with pleading eyes. I chuckled darkly as I continued to walk toward them. "I don't think you realize just how stupid you really are." I murmured.
"Are you mad or just plain crazy?" The guy asked me as he pushed the gun harder against the woman's head. "I will shoot her!" I sighed tiredly. "Whatever. Do whatever you want." I told him with a careless shrug of my shoulders. "Kill her don't kill her. I really don't care. It's not like I have much practice in saving people. That's not really my specialty."
His eyes narrowed to my chest and his eyes widened. "Y-your a Mage from Fairy Tail!" I rolled my eyes. "Yay, duh."
The man looked confused. "But I thought you're job is to save people? And you don't care if I kill this woman?" I cocked my head to the side. "Why should I if I don't even know this woman or even know her name? Besides, like I said, saving people is not my specialty." He stared at me, "Then what is?"
I smiled.
I was behind him faster than he could track. I grabbed his throat and cracked his wrist with my other hand. With a groan he dropped the gun and it clattered to the train floor. With a sob the woman was free and she hugged her baby tight. I leaned next to the man's ear and whispered.
"Killing people."
The man tried to escape and he let out a loud choking noise when I tightened my grip around his throat. The baby suddenly started to cry in its mother's arms.
I tsked, "Now look what you've done, you woke up the baby."
With a flick of my wrist I snapped the man's neck. With a soft thud the man's body hit the floor. The woman gasped and took a step away from me. I looked up at her and she hugged her baby tighter. Without a word I stalked past her. I didn't look back at her even when I heard her run out of the train cart. I sat back down and closed my eyes.
Bastard.
He had interrupted my sleep.
