Rock Fall

"Freya! Natsu!" I heard Erza yell. There was a loud rumbling sound and rocks began to fall from above. I gasped and spun around to run. I saw Natsu who had been trying to get to me. I grabbed his arm and we ran.

We tried to dodge the falling rocks. One hit my shoulder and I almost went down. Natsu grabbed my arm and stopped me from falling. We kept running even as the pain in my shoulder worsened. I saw Erza, Lucy, Gray, Wendy, Happy, Lily, and our SaberTooth friends. But I didn't see Levy or Gajeel.

Erza and the others had made it out and were yelling at us to hurry. We were still a couple of feet away when the top of the cave gave way.
Erza grabbed Lucy, Wendy, and Gray and pushed them out of the way. While the Exceeds and Sabertooth ducked out of the way.

Natsu wrapped his arm around my waist and we dropped to the ground. Natsu landed on top of me and shielded me with his body. I couldn't hear anything except for the ear piercing crash as the cave collapsed all around us.

Natsu's arms tightened around me and he held me tighter against him. I wrapped my arms around him and held him close to me. I brought up my hand to cover the back of his head and wrapped my other arm around his middle.

Hold on, Natsu!

I closed my eyes and braced myself.

After the cave had stopped shaking and the rocks had stopped falling, did I finally open my eyes.

Everything was silent in the cave.

I was breathing heavily and my body was shaking. "Freya, are you okay?" Natsu's voice broke the deafening silence. I nodded my head slightly. He rose up on his elbows and stared down at me. "Oi, Fey, say something." His eyes searched mine urgently.

"Natsu...I'm...I'm okay." I told him. He let out a sigh of relief. I moved my hand from his back to his face. "Are you okay?" He nodded his head. I slowly blinked up at him and swallowed thickly.

He was still on top of me and he didn't seem to be thinking about moving away...I didn't want him too. I buried my fingers deeper in his hair and I ran my thumb over his cheek.

"Arigato, Natsu."

He brought up his hand and cupped my cheek. He opened his mouth to say something but stopped suddenly. His eyes flashed then he leaped up and spun around.

"Natsu, what's wrong?" Natsu cocked his head to the right and muttered, "Someone's coming."

With that he lit his fists on fire. I sat up off the ground but stopped when I saw a shadow coming near us. Natsu let out a low sound and moved closer to me. Then voices could be heard.

"You have no idea where we're going, do you?"

"Of course I know where we're goin."

"Are you sure you're not hurt?"

"For the love of Dragon's, Shrimp, ya can be so annoying at times!"

"Excuse me for worrying about you!"

"Gi hi hi, it takes a lot to knock me down."

"Like my purse?"

"Ya promised ya wouldn't ever bring that up again!"

Gajeel and Levy rounded the corner. Levy was smiling while Gajeel looked annoyed. At least they were together. Gajeel looked up from looking at Levy and noticed us. "Oi, Salamander and the Little Fairy are here." He looked at Levy with a cocky smile, "Told ya I wasn't lost."

Levy gave him a knowing look, "Sure, Gajeel, sure." Gajeel crossed his arms over his chest and looked away. I smiled at the two of them, they were hilarious when they were together.

I was dragged out of my thoughts when a hand appeared in front of me. I looked up to see a smiling Natsu. With a smile of my own I took his hand and he pulled me up. "Yo! Levs, you alright?" I said with a hand on my hip. Before Levy could say anything Gajeel tsked.

"Course she's okay, I was with her." Levy looked at him and smiled. Then he ruined the moment by saying. "Since she's to small to look after herself." I face palmed while I heard Levy start yelling at him. I swear, Gajeel is the only person Levy ever yells at.

With Natsu by my side we joined them. "Can't say I'm glad to see ya, Salamander."

Natsu smirked and put his hands behind his head. "Right back atcha, Metal Head."

Gajeel smirked at Natsu and I knew it was their own way of saying that they were glad that neither one of them were hurt. Guys were weird in that way.

"Has anyone seen Erza, Lucy, Gray, Wendy, Carla, Happy, Pantherlily, Sting, Rogue, or their Exceeds?" I asked. "That's a lot of people to lose." Levy sweat dropped. I laughed, "Sure is."

"Yosh, lets go find them." Natsu said and began to walk forward with his hands still behind his head. "Hurry up, Scrap Metal!" Natsu yelled over his shoulder at Gajeel. A muscle jumped on The Iron Dragon Slayer's forehead as he stalked after Natsu.

"One day, Salamander, one day." Natsu's laugh echoed throughout the cave as Levy and I followed behind the boys. Unbeknownst to us, something was watching us, deep within the shadows of the cave...
