The Beach

"Yep, I'm not going out there guys..." I told them seriously. "Uh-huh! I wore this and now you're saying you won't go?" Levy stated with a shake of her head. Lucy was staring at me with disappointment in her brown eyes.

I clutched my necklace in my hand. This was ridiculous. I could face a Dark Wizard head on and I wouldn't even blink. Yet I was afraid to go out on the beach with my friends.

I looked down at myself.

The bathing suit had shown off my scars. Before Lucy or Levy saw them I had put a small concealer spell on myself. It had worked, at least, it would work for a couple of hours. I had never worn something so...revealing before. All I had ever really worn were long shirts and pants, and my cloak was always around me. Shielding me.

Please...?" Lucy said with her eyes sparkling.
I shut my eyes and took a deep breath. I lifted my head and looked at my two friends.

"Fine." I grumbled out.

With a squeal from both girls they grabbed my arms and we began walking toward the beach. The sun was out and the water looked so beautiful.
The waves crashed onto the beach as the girls and I arrived. Levy was on my right while Lucy was on my left. I could feel people's stares on us but I ignored them. However, I did move closer to Levy. Maybe her wearing that bikini was a bad idea.

Before I could pounder on the thought more my attention was caught by movement up ahead. My face broke out into a smile when I saw the boys a few feet down the beach from us.

But my attention went to just one of the boys. He was on his knees across from Gajeel in the sand. They were both messing with the sand.

Where was Gray?

As the girls and I got closer I figured out why they were messing with the sand...and where Gray was. He was buried neck deep in the sand. He was yelling at the two Dragon Slayers to unbury him.

"This is your own fault, Ice Stripper!"

Natsu laughed out as he dumped more sand on Gray, burying him deeper. "For what!?" Gray sputtered out as he spit sand out of his mouth. "For dumping that bucket of water on my head!" Gajeel said, annoyed but amused at the same time.

"Oi, Metal Head! What about me?" Natsu looked up from his task and glared at the Iron Dragon Slayer. Gajeel tsked and glared right back, "What about ya?"

"That bucket landed on my head too!" Gajeel snickered, "Really? I guess I didn't notice ya there." With a growl Natsu started to stand with Gajeel right behind him.

"Boys! Don't start fighting on the beach!" Lucy shouted at them. Both boys stopped and their shoulders slumped. With a sigh Natsu began to turn around, "Aw, Luce, your no-" He stopped abruptly when his gaze landed on me.

His eyes scanned over me, not seeming to miss a single detail. A shiver raised through me and up my spine at his unflinching and intense gaze. I could feel my face heating up as his warm gaze found mine. Something flashed in his emerald eyes that I hadn't ever seen before. But the emotion was gone before I could identify it.

"Hey, Fey." Natsu said in a low, almost husky, voice.

I swallowed thickly and tilted my head and flicked my wrist in a gesture of hello. Then before I could think better of it, I walked over, and extended my hand to him. "Lets go swimming."

With a laugh from me and a whoop from him, we both took off towards the water. We splashed into the water and I dived in. The water felt nice against my skin and I closed my eyes when the water closed in over my head.
After a moment, I blinked open my eyes.

It was like being in another world.

The water was so clear and beautiful that you could see everything that was going on under the waves. A small fish zoomed by my face and quickly disappeared. I kicked my legs out and treaded the water. Something grabbed my leg and I flipped onto my back.

I smiled when my eyes landed on Natsu. His hair was flying around his face and he had a smile of his own. I moved my arms and I swam forward a little more. Natsu let go of my leg and kicked with his legs.

He swam over me and I followed from below. He suddenly pointed to something and motioned me to follow him. I swam over to him and looked to where he was pointing.

I smiled brightly when my eyes landed on four adult dolphins and one baby. I looked to Natsu and we both smiled. I swam to the surface and broke through the water.

I took a quick breath and dived again. Natsu hadn't moved from his spot and he was still looking at the dolphins, who were now swimming around one another. I swam over to him and tapped his shoulder. He looked over at me and gave me a questioning look.

I pointed up and mimicked taking a breath. Natsu grinned and shook his head. He put a fist to his chest and tapped it. I nodded, Dragon lungs.

He didn't have to go to the surface to take a breath for a while. With a smile on my face I shook my head at him. Then mouthed, 'Lucky'. His eyes glittered and then he kicked off from the sandy ground.

With a muffled shriek I swam away from him. He tried to grab my leg again but I dodged. I shot up from under the water and took a breath. I dived again and quickly looked around me. I didn't see him. I frowned and spun in the water, searching for a flash of pink.

Where did he go?

I moved my hair out of my face and looked below me. Sure enough, there he was, at the very bottom. With an evil grin he kicked off and shot toward me. I didn't have any time to get away before his arms came around me.

I laughed and bubbles escaped from my mouth and I watched as they floated up. I pointed to the surfaces and Natsu brought me up. I gulped in air and leaned my head back.

"So unfair." I muttered. I heard him laugh from behind me.

"I can't help that I'm awesome." I chuckled, turned, and flicked his forehead. "Sure." I said with a roll of my eyes. He looked offended, "I can't believe you would doubt me." I let out a soft breath and glanced away.

I could never doubt you.

Suddenly the warm water turned ice freaking cold. I yelped and scrambled into Natsu's still warm arms. As I wrapped my arms around his neck I began shivering. "W-what the h-hell?" I chattered.

Natsu growled and looked around me. I turned my head and my blood began to boil when I saw a smirking Gray a few feet away from us. "That is for burying me in the sand!" Gray was walking toward us...yes walking toward us.

He had frozen the whole ocean as far as I could see!

"Gray! T-turn the w-water b-b-back!" I said angrily as my body began to shake. Natsu sucked in an annoyed breath, "Got it." He placed his hand on the ice-covered ocean and before my eyes the ice began to glow a shade of red and orange.

Heat rose up and the ice started to melt. Before Gray could escape, the ice melted, and Gray fell in. I pointed at him and started to cackle with laughter. "That is what you get! Ya Pervy Popsicle!" I said as I continued to cackle.

Gray, with a pissed off expression on his face, rose up from the water. "This means war, Fire Breath." Natsu's chest vibrated as he laughed. "Bring it then, Snowman." Oh shit...I was caught in the middle...literally. I jumped away from Natsu as Gray hit his fist into the palm of his hand.

"Ice Make:-"

Natsu smirked and hit his two fists together.

"Fire Dragon's:-"

"Natsu...Gray...Remember what happened last time?" Erza said from behind me. I spun and nearly shrieked when I saw a very dark aura surrounding her.

Natsu and Gray looked from Erza to each other and suddenly they were best friends. They put they're arms around each other's shoulder and they both yelled, "Aye!"

I face palmed, We now had three Happys.

But as I watched them I couldn't help but laugh.

I loved this Guild.

I was half asleep when I felt something poking me in the stomach. I opened one eye and looked over. Lucy was inches away from my face and she had a smirk on her face.

Uh-huh.

That was not a good look for her to be having. "What? What did you do?" I asked as I shot up and looked around me. Lucy brought up her hands and waved them in front of her.

"Nothing, nothing!" She put her hands down and muttered, "I only recommended we play a game..." I narrowed my eyes at her. "What game?"

She smiled.
