Immortals have lived longer than the olden days. Each time they face death, they are reminded of their worst nightmares. They are regarded as sinners of the realm. Witches, who have deemed themselves the greatest, were oppressed by the endless burden, that is immortality.

Majority of those wretched witches came from the bloodlines of Vanworth, Mikaelsord, Parkerson, and Gerithon. Across every lifetime, they've stayed hidden...until the reign of the ambitious King Zebbicus Frigard.

Delilah Vanworth is allured by Zebbicus's integrity. They were each other's forbbiden love as they steal every moment together alone.

Along with their fidelity, is Delilah's identity. She divulged Zebbicus with her immortality, always met his expectations and requests even Zebbicus's wish to become an immortal. There was complete liberation between humans and immortals as Delilah and Zebbicus ruled the kingdom.

After a year or so, Aster Jayleen Vanworth-Frigard is born, followed by Astrid Jasleen Vanworth-Frigard (a year after). The succeeding years were plainly Zebbicus going behind Delilah's back as Magni Nominis Umbra is brought to being.

His undertakings eventually led to Delilah's anomalous death as their kingdom begins to perish. However, this hardly prevents Zebbicus from making another pact amongst many civillians, including rulers, soldiers, right-hands as well as Magni Nominis Umbra.

Zebbicus had then promised Magni Nominis Umbra the Vanworth's power that both Aster and Astrid now possess. Their mother's death slowly breaks the Frigard sisters' bond, consequently leading to the 'The Last Duel'.

Under Zebbicus's influence, Astrid puts an end to Aster's life by plunging the Frigard Sword to her heart. Astrid, engulfed with rage and hatred, kills her father afterwards. Because of Zebbicus's pact that binds multiple lives together, every person who made a pact died with him.

From that moment on, Astrid has been paying her father's debts to Magni Nominis Umbra as well as to wake up every crack of dawn seeing her sister's blood in her hands.
