(Warning: the video above is episodes 20-23 ish all together so it's an hour long. The extended scene is the particle scene at the very end just before the credits)
HI SO I CAN FINALLY FREAK ABOUT THIS?!
HECKING FAN THEORIES
HECKING iCHASE
HECKING JAKEY HINTING AT THIS IN LITERALLY HALF HIS REPLIES IN THE COMMENTS SECTION
Ok so let's be honest, it really wasn't that hard to guess. People were theorizing this from the minute they saw the original particle scene and like I said everyone comment that's like "noooooo how could you kill Chase" Jakey replied "but is he REALLY gone? OwO"
I basically knew Chase wasn't fully dead when I asked that thing on the Discord about corpo libero so tbh I think this is a lot more exciting to those who don't have access or don't really pay THAT much attention to the extra stuff?? Because I mean some people only watch the show, which is fine, but that means that they don't get some of the content as early as others do.
Okay being on the skin design team rambling:
WHOEVER FINALLY FIGURED OUT HOW TO MAKE THE SKIN FOR THE FUSION IS A GENIUS. It took like 2 months because Jakey wanted like dark roots with blonde at the top??? But that's really hard to portray on a MC skin. Someone who had been working on it asked me for advice and the closest I could think of was Kim from MyStreet??? But also not really... And then I put together a skin but it still didn't seem to satisfy lol
What's funny is that I have like three versions of this theory based on different possibilities and evidence of what could be possible?? So like the previous oneshots I wrote "Fused" is based off one theory and "Remember Me" is based off another and I've been playing around with headcanons but since I figured it would
be addressed in S2 I didn't write anything on it
Ok so theory time:
Why is it a 75%-25% influence between Chase and Ichiro???
Lol I'm not even going into how the fusion is even possible at all, I'm jumping straight into WHY IS IT LIKE THIS?!?
Because as Steven Universe shows it, a fusion is a perfect combination of both individuals. Their positives, their flaws, their abilities, their priorities. But this clearly isn't that same type of fusion because of that split of influence shown when it was just their auras.
Is this caused by the fact that Chase was the one to cast the corpo libero spell, so he technically saved all of himself except his physical body, and Ichiro just happened to be fortunate enough to be incorporated as well because he also died in such a short vicinity??
Thats the only possibility I can think of anyway...
I think it depends on the mechanism to cause Chase to reform. Technically, if Chase's body was dead but his mind and spirit still existed (aka he's a ghost) I think he would probably need an outside force to cast a spell to revive his body (AKA a thing I really want to write but have resisted lol)
If his reformation was part of the corpo libero spell, then it's possible that since both Chase and Ichiro died in a similar fashion that the spell combined their essences, not differentiating because a magic spell is like a computer; it needs to be directed by a sentient being, otherwise it's just doing that it was programmed to do.
Honestly I don't know why I'm rambling for this, I don't have an exact answer but it's gonna be addressed in the show sooner or later so why worry so much?
The human first for knowledge and answers? The same reason we explore space?
I should stop now
Auf weidersehen!
