AN: Here is a different point of view, one that i had trouble writing. I think all the following chapters are gonna be from Riley's point of view, but I needed to have this one in here.

i hope you enjoy the chapter :)

My father ushered me out the back of the castle. He wanted me to get out of here as soon as possible. My family, the royals, have been trapped in our castle for three months. Mom and dad have been slowly getting me and my sisters out of the castle one by one, and replacing us with servants pretending to be us. I am still not quite sure what is going on except that someone powerful is keeping us captive.

He handed me my bag as i grabbed the reigns of my horse. He adjusted the saddle as i sat down, then hugged me.

I could feel tears slide down my cheeks. I might never see dad or mom again.

"Goodbye Christopher."

Before I could reply, he let go of me, then with shiny droplets in his eyes, hit the flank of the horse, and off I was.

I clutched the appaloosa's mane, and held on tight as the horse ran at speeds i've never seen.

We ran and ran and ran. I closed my eyes to keep them from drying, and when i opened them again, the sky was coated with glimmering stars. The horse had slowed to a quick trot, and i could finally look around.

We were deep in a forest that was definitely not Green River.

How long had we been riding you may ask? I have no idea.

We soon came to a clearing, and something made the horse rear up, and drop me.

The horse sped off

"No!! Come back!" I looked around the area, and saw something buried in the snow.

The boy from the tree was face down in the snow, completely motionless, with a small orange dragon resting on his back.

AN: Aaaaaaaand i know its the shortest chapter ever but please take it.
