"Ready to go?"

Nancy asked Asling. She and Jonathan had arrived at Steve's house right on time at one o'clock. She struck Asling as a particularly punctual person, which as someone who was always late to almost everything, she tended to admire about Nancy.

"Yes!"

Asling said as she followed Nancy out the door, Steve tagged along behind them following them to Nancy's car which was actually just the Wheeler's suburban. Nancy led Asling to the back passenger door of the car, having her sit behind Jonathan and next to Steve who got in on the other side of the car.

"Don't forget your seatbelt."

Steve said as soon as Asling got into the car, sitting next to him.

"My hm?"

She asked, curious green eyes looked back at him.

"Your seatbelt."

Steve said as he leaned over and pulled the seatbelt for Asling and pulled it across her and fastened it into the lock for her.

"Seatbelt?"

She asked and he nodded.

"Yeah."

He said.

"That's a seatbelt."

He said before fastening his own.

"It keeps you safe."

He added and as the words left his mouth he caught Nancy's eyes in the rearview mirror and she seemed to be smirking at him. Her expression screamed that she knew something he didn't or at least knew something that he didn't want her to know. Steve bit his lip, holding the eye contact with her for only a few seconds before turning his gaze to look out the window. Nancy, seemingly satisfied with the unspoken exchange, adjusted the rearview and put the car into reverse.

Starcourt mall was unlike anything Asling had ever seen in her life. The large building aside, the glow of the neon sign caught her eyes unlike anything else ever had.

"This is a mall?"

Asling said as she stepped out of the car and took in the sights.

"Its so big."

She noted.

"Do you really not have malls where you're from?"

Nancy asked and Asling shook her head.

"We have market places."

She said.

"This mall literally just opened."

Jonathan said as the group walked inside.

"So all the stores are brand new and some haven't even opened yet. Some are also still looking for employees."

He added with a shrug.

"I might try to get a job somewhere while Nancy and Asling shop around."

He added. Honestly, to Steve, that didn't seem like such a bad idea. He would also be needing to look for a job after he graduated since he unfortunately wouldn't be going to collage after highschool. But Asling was still his current top priority. A job could come later, watching out for her came first.

"Yeah I think I'll just stick with Allie."

Steve said and Nancy raised a brow.

"Allie?"

She asked.

"Who's Allie?"

She continued, knowing full and well who Allie was but she wanted to tease it out of Steve.

"Asling."

He admitted.

"It's Asling."

He said.

"Allie is just a nickname Steven calls me."

"Steve."

He corrected her again for what felt like the millionth time. This caused Jonathan to chuckle this time as a result.

"Steven."

He mumbled and Nancy grinned as she looked from him over to Steve who's cheeks went instinctively red.

"Well what do we have hear?"

The group turned to see a face that Asling herself did not recognize but Steve knew all too well. The blush on his cheeks immediately faded and his expression hardened.

"Billy."

"Afternoon, Harrington."

The infamous Billy Hargrove said with a devilish little smirk at the brunette.

"What's this that I see?"

He said as he stepped closer to them, walking straight past Steve, while keeping his gaze, and approaching Asling Ghile herself.

"Harrington's new play thing?"

He asked, his voice sounded like that of a snake. Billy looked her over, his harsh blue eyes scanned her figure before landing on her own green eyes.

"She's a little thick for you, don't you think?"

He asked which of course, only made Steve fume with anger.

"She's not my 'play thing'."

Steve spat in response.

"Well I should hope not. I mean she's much more big-boned than your last conquest."

He said as his eyes drifted to Nancy who also remained silent but glared at Billy.

"Don't you have somewhere else to be an asshole?"

Steve retaliated and Billy only laughed.

"What's the matter Harrington? Am I invading your territory?"

He asked with a menacing grin.

"I mean honestly, your taste has gone down from Sirloin to a New York Strip."

He added before turning back to Asling.

"But it seems like you've had a change of taste."

He walked closer to her.

"Don't worry I'll let everyone know that Steve Harrington likes extra fat on his meat."

He added before giving Asling a harsh slap on her ass.

That was Steve's final straw.

"You're really campaigning for douche of the year, aren't you?"

Steve said as he marched straight over to him, hands balled into fists with anger.

"As defending champion are you nervous?"

Billy retaliated. Steve didn't say anything else. He simply threw a hard fist straight against Billy's cheek causing him to stumble back. Billy laughed as he wiped a small trickle of blood from his lips and flipped his head up, blonde curls flipping over his shoulders.

"That was weak, Harrington."

He teased.

"But is starting a fight in a public place really for you?"

He mocked him.

"I mean you really want to get kicked out of the mall days after it's opened?"

He added. Steve was fuming with anger.

"Steve, don't."

Asling said as she stepped in front of him.

"It's okay."

She said, her voice was soft and comforting to him and his anger.

"It's okay, Steve."

She added before turning to Billy.

"Well well well,"

Billy mused as he flicked his tongue out at her.

"The bitch speaks."

He added. Asling only laughed as she shook her head. She stepped closer to him.

"What's the matter princess? Did I upset you?"

Billy mused,Β  giving her a fake frown. Asling didn't say anything. She looked up at him with her green eyes and brought her hand across his cheek in a fierce slap. The pop of her hand hitting his face startled Nancy, Jonathan, and Steve.

"Ohhh little bitch has some fight in her."

Billy remarked.

"I bet that's real nice when you're rocking her back and forth. She puts you in your place, huh, Harrington?"

He chewed his tongue as he looked down at Asling who still glared up at him.

"What are you looking at, princess?"

He hissed.

"Timeo."

Asling said simply, her eyes flashing white for only a moment and billy stumbled back. He tripped and fell on his ass, looking up at the blonde with eyes that were wide with fear. He did his best to scramble himself up off of the mall's tile floor and run as far away from the group as possible.
