Seokjin's heart swelled with an overwhelming sense of joy as He gazed at the photo of himself as a bride. His eyes welled up with tears as He imagined seeing him at this moment. "Eomma," He whispered, his voice trembling with emotion, "My dream is finally coming true. I'm so sorry you're not home to see it, but I know you're happy for me." A soft smile played on his lips as He imagined his mother's proud expression. He leaned forward and kissed the photo, sealing his promise to make him proud.
The weekend comes.
The Kim family garden was a bustling hub of activity every weekend. Laughter, the clinking of glasses, and the aroma of grilled food filled the air. Amidst the general merriment, Seokjin was the tempest brewing. The latest issue of Asia Fashion was open on the garden table, his embarrassing photos plastered across several pages.
His face turned a deep shade of crimson as he scanned the magazine, his eyes widening with each scandalous image. He slammed the magazine shut, his voice rising in pitch. "Can you believe this? Jungkook, that little-! He's invaded my privacy! This is defamation of character!"
Kim Jae Hyun, a retired judge and widower, chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Jinnie, my boy, I'm afraid those days of seeking justice in court are over. I'm retired, remember?"
Seokjin's jaw dropped. "But Dad, this is serious! I could sue him for invasion of privacy, or even worse, defamation or murder, anything!"
Jae Hyun raised an eyebrow. "Defamation? Jinnie, you're the one who made those faces. Besides, everyone loves a good laugh. It's free publicity, you know."
Seokjin groaned, burying his face in his hands. "This is humiliating," he muttered.
The rest of the family exchanged amused glances, their laughter muffled by their hands. Even his usually stoic older brother, Kim Seo Hoon, couldn't help but smirk. It seemed the entire Kim family was enjoying Seokjin's predicament.
The memory of his, Kim Hye Soo, who had passed away from cancer when Seokjin was just ten, briefly crossed Seokjin's mind. He imagined him laughing at the situation, and a bittersweet smile crept onto his lips.
The Kim family was immersed in a symphony of laughter and chatter, the scent of grilled meat and vegetables mingling with the fresh garden air. Under the thatched roof of the kubo, a sense of warmth and belonging permeated the atmosphere. Seokjin, however, was a solitary note in this harmonious tune.
Aunt Kim Yoon Hee, a woman with a sharp wit and an even sharper tongue, broke the jovial ambiance with his words. "Seokjin-ah, you should really think about settling down. Look at your cousin, already engaged. You're turning into a workaholic." His voice, though laced with concern, carried a hint of playful reproach.
Seokjin, caught off guard, felt a blush creep up his neck. He managed a weak smile. "I know, Aunt Yoon Hee. I'm working on it."
Curiosity sparked in the aunt's eyes. "How old are you now, Seokjin?"
The question hung in the air, a moment of awkward silence before Seokjin replied, his voice barely audible, "I'll be thirty in December."
A collective gasp rippled through the family. Aunt Yoon Hee's expression turned serious. "Ah, Seokjin-ah," He began, his voice filled with a mixture of sympathy and foreboding, "You know about the family curse, don't you?"
The atmosphere shifted, the carefree laughter replaced by a hush. Seokjin's heart pounded. He had heard whispers about it, but never openly discussed it. "What curse, Aunt?" he managed to ask, his voice trembling slightly.
"Any Kim who doesn't marry before turning thirty will face difficulties in finding love afterward," Aunt Yoon Hee explained, his gaze filled with a touch of sadness. "Your mother was lucky to have found her true love, before she turned thirty. But for me..." Aunt Yoon's voice trailed off, a silent testament to his unfulfilled wish. "However, she died early."
The once cheerful gathering was now shrouded in an unexpected gloom. "You never had a boyfriend since birth, Seokjin, you're near the finish line" Seokjin's aunt cried, feeling a cold dread creeping into his heart. The carefree young man he once was seemed to be fading away, replaced by a sense of impending doom.
"I'm going to meet my end,"

In the Red Room
Jungkook and Habeom were sprawled across the floor of the red room, surrounded by a chaotic arrangement of printed photographs. The air was thick with laughter as they relived the highlights of the wedding.
"Remember when Seokjin tried to do that dramatic entrance and ended up tripping over his own feet?" Habeom doubled over with laughter, clutching his stomach.
Jungkook, still chuckling, wiped a tear from his eye. "And then, the best part was when he accidentally stepped on his own toes and let out this ear-piercing scream. I swear, the whole church went silent for a second."
They both erupted in laughter again, imagining the scene. "And then, the pièce de résistance," Habeom continued, "was when he tried to save face by dramatically ripping off his veil, revealing his perfectly ironed funny ugly face. It was like something out of a comedy sketch."
Jungkook shook his head, amusement still evident in his voice. "I'll never forget the look on everyone's faces. It was priceless."
As their laughter began to subside, Habeom picked up a photo and held it up. "This one is gold. Look at the way Seokjin is trying to look cool, but his face is beet red."
Jungkook snatched the photo and examined it closely. "Yeah, this is definitely a keeper. We should frame this and hang it in the living room."
They spent the next hour going through the photos, sharing stories and jokes. The atmosphere was relaxed and carefree, a perfect end to a whirlwind of a day.
Jungkook paced the small, cluttered office and changed the subject.
"Habeom, don't forget to pick my cousin at the airport," Jungkook reminded Habeom for picking up Somi.
"Don't worry boss, I never forgot." Habeom answered.
"Hobeom, I swear to god, if you don't pick up Somi from the airport, I'll personally drive time and drag you back by your ears."
A beat of silence, then Hobeom's muffled voice, "Dude, chill. I'll get him. I promise."
Jungkook rolled his eyes, "Don't 'dude' me, Hobeom. This is important. She's the key to the new project."
Hobeom mumbled something about 'got it' before hanging up. Jungkook sighed, rubbing his temples. He glanced at the clock - Somi's flight would be landing in an hour. He knew better than to trust Hobeom.
Meanwhile, in the bustling world of fashion, Jeon Somi was engrossed in her work. As the fashion editor of W Korea, She was always on the lookout for fresh faces and new trends. his eyes fell on a particular set of photos on his desk - Jungkook's wedding pictures. Something about his natural charisma and undeniable charm caught him attention. She began to envision how she could incorporate his image into the upcoming issue.
Jungkook's heart pounded in his chest as he watched Somi carefully scrutinize each photo, her brow furrowed in concentration, and she couldn't see the expression in his eyes. A wave of anxiety washed over him. He'd hoped He'd love the pictures as much as he and Habeom did.
Minutes ticked by, and still, Somi remained silent. Jungkook's hope dwindled with every passing second.
Somi offered a sympathetic smile, "I'm so sorry, Jungkook. None of these quite fit the vibe we're going for in the upcoming issue. Don't get me wrong, they're great pictures, but I think they might be better suited for a different kind of magazine."
Jungkook's heart sank, but he nodded understandingly. Just as he was about to suggest they try another angle, chaos erupted. Habeom, in a fit of cleaning enthusiasm, tumbled down the stairs, sending a cascade of photos flying. Papers scattered everywhere, and in the ensuing confusion, a few landed at Somi's feet.
As she bent to pick them up, his eyes fell on a particular photo. It was a candid shot of Seokjin, laughing uncontrollably. Her eyes were crinkled with mirth, and his whole face radiated pure joy. Something about the image captured Somi's attention. She flipped through a few more photos, each one revealing a different side of Seokjin. Time was Seokjin the elegant groom, Seokjin the doting friend, and Seokjin the unexpected goofball.
A spark ignited in Somi's eyes. She looked up at Jungkook, a determined glint in his gaze.
"I think I've found my next cover star," She declared.
