Spring brings about the best of beginnings with its sweet natural aroma in the form of flowers blooming, bodies of water roaring loudly, and creatures coming back out to play. It is, after all, the season of blossoms. But spring also brings about the hardest practices such as moving on, starting over, and finding yourself. It is, after all, the season of blues. During spring, we balance both the blossoms and the blues.

Can I exceed the word count? Unfortunately, we ask all participants to follow the rules and guidelines of our contest so please keep your word count the same that it's given.

Can I use more than one prompt in my entry? Unless specifically asked of you above, please only use one prompt per entry. You may write multiple entries to cover multiple prompts.

Am I allowed to use your prompt even if I'm not joining the contest? You definitely are able to use the prompts for any future works of yours. You don't even need to give credit!

If I win, can I edit my entry into a novel? Yes, you retain the rights to your works so you are able to turn your winning entry into a novel after the winners announcement is shared.

When do you announce the winners of the contest? We try to announce the winners within a week after the contest ends. Unforeseen circumstances may require us to push the announcement back by another week or so but these are rare.
