Serena_Nymph: Anyway, while you can still dislike it, saying it's bland or boring doesn't actually make it a bad ship.

EvelinMoondust: But still, it's a good ship, it'll work out.

Serena_Nymph: Yup.

Serena_Nymph: They have a good friendship and chemistry, which makes for a good foundation.

EvelinMoondust: There's no.... Factors that'll make it crash, so it's pretty much a gonna work out ship, unlike Tododeku and Bakudeku.

EvelinMoondust: Like for example, before you say it's cliche or something, think about it. Most animes and stories put the main boy and main girl character together. 

EvelinMoondust: And a lot of those, once they get together, are really cute.

Serena_Nymph: Yup.

wrinkly_potatoooo: Yes, it's very normal.

Serena_Nymph: It's the classic friends to lovers trope.

Serena_Nymph: Which is true for a lot of relationships, to be honest.

EvelinMoondust: Yeah.

EvelinMoondust: Or maybe we can put it in your story. Who's the female protagonist in your life story (if you have a love interest)? It would probably be your girlfriend.

Serena_Nymph: That's a very good point.

Serena_Nymph: Considering it is in Izuku's point of view, it would make sense.

EvelinMoondust: Let's mention how many times they helped each other and saved each other.

Serena_Nymph: Yup.

EvelinMoondust: Like, Uraraka was Deku's first friend.

Serena_Nymph: First real friend.

EvelinMoondust: Yup.

EvelinMoondust: And they trust each other a lot.

Serena_Nymph: And believe in each other.

Serena_Nymph: That in itself makes it a healthy ship.

wrinkly_potatoooo: Yea and they really are close to each other.

EvelinMoondust: Side note: We need to rearrange our convo after.

EvelinMoondust: So, that's the summary of their friendship —wait, not yet.

EvelinMoondust: Uraraka actually managed to make Deku feel good about his nickname by Bakugo. I know you guys say it's too much of a miracle, but think about it, like you have a bully that gives you a nickname, but your crush and real friends gives another meaning to it.

Serena_Nymph: Right, another excellent point.

Serena_Nymph: She made something that make him feel weak and useless encourage him.

EvelinMoondust: And they support each other all the time.

EvelinMoondust: For someone like Deku, emotional support means a lot to him.

Serena_Nymph: Yup.

wrinkly_potatoooo: Yea and Uraraka doesn't bully or pick on Deku at all.

EvelinMoondust: Yes, exactly, total boosted it to best friend point.

Serena_Nymph: That in itself is already good basis for a relationship.

EvelinMoondust: Does she feel pity for Deku though?

wrinkly_potatoooo: I don't think she pities Deku.

Serena_Nymph: Yeah.

Serena_Nymph: She's shown to trust and believe in him a lot.

wrinkly_potatoooo: Yes.

EvelinMoondust: So, naturally, as a victim of bully, you don't like other people to pity on you.

EvelinMoondust: Well, victim of fate, whatever.

EvelinMoondust: That itself is really awesome too, it shows that Uraraka has her full trust in Deku and really knows how to empathise with him.

Serena_Nymph: Plus, all the times they saved one another.

Serena_Nymph: There was the entrance exams, first off.

Serena_Nymph: Izuku tripped, she saved him.

Serena_Nymph: She was trapped, he saved her.

Serena_Nymph: He fell, she saved him.

AllianaAvelinJackson: I'm getting the feels.

AllianaAvelinJackson: *fans face

Serena_Nymph: And afterwards, she even asked for some of her points to be given to him.

Serena_Nymph: And that was just the entrance exams.

EvelinMoondust: This is being totally explicitly really nice to him.

EvelinMoondust: And some people say she likes him because he has what she lacks.

EvelinMoondust: And she wants to be like him more than anything else.

EvelinMoondust: But may I remind you guys, she just explicitly wants to help people and is a kind cinnamon roll. She didn't enrol into the academy for Deku. And about being a hero? What do you do when you go to hero academy? You become a hero.

Serena_Nymph: Plus, it's shown that they care for each other a lot and she was worried for him.

EvelinMoondust: She isn't fighting for the number one place or whatever.

Serena_Nymph: Which is another good point, considering if you've read our previous discussion on Tododeku, it would be a bit awkward for rivals fighting for the number on spot to get into a relationship.

Serena_Nymph: Okay, going into manga spoiler territory now.

Serena_Nymph: Let's talk about the class A and class B battle.

Serena_Nymph: When Blackwhip went wild, Uraraka leapt in to save him without hesitation.

Serena_Nymph: She even got hurt because of it.

wrinkly_potatoooo: Yea.

Serena_Nymph: And it was shown that she was wondering, who would save the heroes when they're in pain.

Serena_Nymph: Plus, it was also shown that she really wanted to help people, no matter what it takes.

wrinkly_potatoooo: Yes, I agree.

Serena_Nymph: Which also helps character development, so before you say she's a flat character, think again. 

Serena_Nymph: She also had the sports festival part. 

Serena_Nymph: Which was an excellent fight. 

Serena_Nymph: Mostly her moments are smaller because they get overshadowed by other characters. 

Serena_Nymph: That doesn't mean that they're non-existent though.

Serena_Nymph: And she was shown upset wondering if she could've done more after Nighteye died.

Serena_Nymph: Other than that (manga spoilers again), she also had the second fight with Toga.

wrinkly_potatoooo: Yes, I remember both of those parts.

Serena_Nymph: And while it wasn't the flashiest or coolest, I find that the answer she gave Toga was really meaningful.

Serena_Nymph: So, all in all, this is why Izuocha isn't a bad ship (and also why Ochaco isn't a bad character).

Serena_Nymph: Besides, just because they don't have a lot of character development doesn't automatically mean they're a bad character.

wrinkly_potatoooo: Yes, I agree.

EvelinMoondust: So, I guess this is all.

Serena_Nymph: Yup.

EvelinMoondust: But if they do become a couple, I'm sure they would work out in the long run.

Serena_Nymph: Yeah.

EvelinMoondust: Because we mentioned. Support. And sacrifice. That's the whole point of commitment.

Serena_Nymph: They're supportive of each other, have a good friendship and care about each other.

EvelinMoondust: And they solve problems well together, with Deku's wits and Uraraka's determination.

EvelinMoondust: And they know how to give each other a break when it's too much stress.

wrinkly_potatoooo: Yep, hope you understood our point of view and all.
